I can’t stand gate keepers. Music is universal. Prince taught me that. Ask me to name three songs and were going to be there a while.. Which version? Which era ? Which bassist??
yes its about life on the road . the last bridge part when he says " carved upon my stone , my body it lies but still i roam " refers to CLiff Burton the original bassist who died on tour in a bus accident . metallica were on tour in sweden and the bus flipped over killing Cliff Burton . there's a tombstone in his honor in sweden ...so hense the last bridge part of the song being a tribute to CLiff Burton . I still get chills everytime i hear that part .
Young man you got to listen to their instrumentals. All of em… I got into them While out on sickleave two years ago and now I’m in love with em. Also, S and M one and two are brilliant!
For some reason this has always been one of my favourite Metallica tracks. Black album git me through those weird years, 14 to 17. Still epic!! Like your style mate. I got to know you from collabbing with BP 😁😎✌P.s. Of course my top one is Nothing Else Matters. Official video. Legedary
Great song from Metallica, I believe this video is from 1991, I would have said 1980s to be honest, has that feel about it, but no, it's 1991. I love the sound of the guitar in this and the riff is really melodic, I've listened to this song many times.
Don't care what the 80's Metallica gatekeepers say; This is one of their best songs.
I agree! It’s one of my favorites too.

It's not about touring. LOL. The VIDEO is about touring. The song is about his approach to life as a free spirit.
One of their best in my book!
91, Do SAD BUT TRUE !!! KILLER !!!

The band started as Thrash, but this album isn't Thrash - this is a mix of Hard Rock and Heavy Metal. (I know it gets confusing, even to us fans)
man, "orion" from master of puppets next please, i think is their best track of all time
Check out Unforgiven

You have the wrong band in the picture.
