    This is by far the best explanation of -네요 that I've ever come across. Most beginner resources just explain it as expressing surprise, but you don't have to listen to much real-life Korean to realise its usage is much broader than that. I've never really fully grasped when it can be used until I heard you explain it as "I can see that.../I feel that...", which makes perfect sense. Thank you Vicky!
    I didn't think I'd come across -대요 before, but after listening to your explanation I realise I've probably heard it quite often in speech but was confusing it with -데요.

    I know it's out of topic but please read this.
    Lately, I've been watching your videos which you uploaded about 3 to 4 years ago - not about Korean lessons but about different and random topics and DANG! I never knew you used to put those kind of informative videos too! I mean, I thought you only taught us korean but now I know the truth. Your past videos are REALLY AMAZING, Unnie. I wish you would keep posting such videos even now along with your Korean lessons :)

      You can practice reading many example sentences that include the grammar and vocabs you learned that day. For writing as well, it helps to practice sentences on your own based on the expressions and grammar you just learned. If you're a beginner, I recommend "Korean Made Easy for Beginners" by 오승은, and for a grammar book I recommend "Korean Grammar in Use" published by Darakwon. TTMIK also has many amazing books, and I especially like their books on vocabs and expressions. You can check them out~

    Miss Vicky🇰🇷, I would like to really thank you for all your Korean language learning videos. I have started my formal Korean language learning for work. I am really eager to learn so that I'llnbe able to assist and support our Korean customers in South Korea. I believe that although many Korean workers nowadays can speak and can understand English, it is still appropriate to explain ideas, provide resolutions, recommendations and strengthen the work-relationship in the native language. I am always saving your new video in my playlist. I am doing everything slowly. I have just finished practicing the hand writing strokes I am comfortable to use, I started the letter pronunciation of the vowels, consonants, double consonants and moving to writing and pronouncing words. After this, I believe that the next step would be the proper learning of the grammar. I will go through all your grammar videos soon. Again, thank you so much. This is Debbie from the Philippines🇵🇭

      Ultimate way is to search it on 국어사전 in NAVER. And check out 예문 too. I can hardly think it could be translated into “what”. I think you mean “what number”.
      Unless you need to translate between two languages, try not to understand Korean in English. Two languages are too different. It’s important to understand the language in its own language.

    Hello Miss Vicky! I know this isn’t related to the video but I wanted to ask a question & I wasn’t sure how to contact you privately. So I was listening to a song by a group called Stray Kids & one of the members said “헛웃음만 나와”. And I’m aware of Batchim & Consonant assimilation, so when I heard the way he said it, I was confused. And I even checked Papago naver & it said it the same way. He’s a native Korean so I didn’t expect his pronunciation to be wrong, but why is it pronounced
    (almost like) 허두슴만 나와
    And not like 허수슴만 나와?

    • @cadpelkim5216
      @cadpelkim5216 3 года назад +1

      Hello~you really know korean very well and learn deeply. Think about the pronunciation of 헛웃음,
      헛 sounds like 헏, so 헛웃음 sounds 허두슴 not 허수슴.
      That's the way most koreans pronounces 헛웃음. I dont know exactly why, but I think 헛웃음 consisis of two words, 헛+웃음, and 헛 is prefix.

    • @kiaevans7142
      @kiaevans7142 3 года назад

      @@cadpelkim5216 ahhh thank you very much!! So it’s not really a rule, but Koreans just choose to pronounce it like that? If so, it makes sense! I was so upset cause I thought I missed something when learning about Batchim! & thank you!!
