For ㄷ Irregular verb, there's a rule that helps distinguish when you should change ㄷ with ㄹ or not. - If the following letter starts with a Consonant, you keep ㄷ 받침 (therefore, Verb-ㄷ 는다고~) - If the following letter starts with a Vowel, you change ㄷ 받침 to ㄹ (therefore, Verb-ㄹ 을 거라고~) This should work with most verb/sentence ending

As for 있다 which you briefly mention having different rules for conjugation at around 30mins... As I understand it, this word can function as BOTH an adjective and a verb depending on how it's used. So it makes sense that when combined with other grammatical structures that separate adj and verb rules, it just has to pick one or the other. I would assume that because the grammatical structure itself can't tell usage, this is the reason. For example, when used with -고 있다, 있다 here is considered a verb because of a continuous state of doing, but something like 난 여기에 있다, 있다 is considered an adjective. Either one of these usages could be quoted with the grammatical principle you go over here (as well as the other ways 있다 is used as an adj or verb) therefore having 1 blanket way to conjugate it makes it a whole lot easier! I would say that it's not the grammar that is inconsistent, but the word 있다 ;) I had read a lot about 있다 elsewhere and thought it was relevant to mention here, thanks as always for your work in making these videos, they are really helpful!

But this time, I think I'm kinda confused about the major and minor subjects (S) in these indirect quotation sentences, so I really want to know more about it if you don't mind answering me again. Just like the sentence "I think that Jisoo works too hard". If "I think" is changed to "Jisoo thinks", “지수는” must have to be added (with the minor subject omitted as you said) to distinguish that it's "Jisoo thinks" instead of "I think" and it will become "지수는 너무 열심히 일한다고 했어요”, right? However, woundn't the reader/listener get this "지수는” as the minor subject of the quoted sentence and the main subject would be wrongly comprehended as an omitted “저는” (생각해요) ? (As you have said that "는” may not necessarily be the particle for identifing the main subject) Another question is about the sentence "언니가 고양이 이름을 케인이라고 지었어요”. It seems a bit complicated to identify the inner quoted sentence. Is the quoted sentence simply just "케인이라고” , and is it easier to think by adding possession particle "의" after 고양이? These are good questions 😊 About the possible confusion on whether the sentence means "I think he/she is~" or "He/She thinks he/she is~," you can simply put "자기, 본인, or 자신," all of which means "oneself," if the main and minor subjects are the same, to make it clear. If you say, 지수가 똑똑하다고 생각해요, this could have two possible meanings, 1) "I think Jisoo is smart" and 2) "Jisoo thinks she's smart." But you can make clear which one you mean by adding "저는" if you mean the first one, or "자기가" if you mean the second one. More example sentences: 1) I think Jisoo works too hard. (저는) 지수가 너무 열심히 일한다고 생각해요. 2) Jisoo thinks she works too hard. 지수는 자기가 너무 열심히 일한다고 생각해요. - If you omit "자기가" here, it sounds unclear who exactly Jisoo thinks is smart, so it's better to put 자기가. 3) I think Jisoo is a genius. About your second question, as for the expressions like "저는 ______(이)라고 해요(=I go by the name ____)", "sb(의) 이름을 ________ (이)라고 짓다(=to name sb ______)," and "sb을/를 _______(이)라고 부르다(=to call sb ________)," it's better not to look at it as a quoted sentence, but instead as a fixed expression. So i was watching bts and this popped up "전수했어요 행님" and the subtitle said it means "i teached" can you explain this word to me !! Where is the verb and what it means !!? Is the verb 전수하다 !? And does it mean to teach !???
네, 전수하다 means to pass on/hand down your knowledge or tips to someone else, so it could mean "teach" as well
