Within Japanese business culture whatever the boss says goes completely overriding whatever decisions, ideas, and conclusions the staff under them may reach during the creative process. One of the changes I am most looking forward to is the second Wutai War, which is definitely going to happen with all the foreshadowing. Perhaps some new characters in the form of Avalanche leadership? Many possibilities for new additions. Perhaps the existing big story beats will still happen, but how we get there may be very different...

I was wondering why in ff7r the characters went to the end of the world through a door of light opened by a princess of heart. Just to fight against a Darkside as well as Tifa, Barret and Cloud's nobodies before clashing with Xehanort's heartless. It was a bit confusing when they went to the final world and talked about destiny and alternative timeline but the reconstruction of worlds swallowed by darkness was easy to understand as they kept the fireflies type of lights they used in kingdom hearts. It all make sense now.

They’re basically rewriting Final Fantasy VII so Aerith can survive. Calling it now. The ending will be Zack some how coming back to life by being extracted from the lifestream. Possibly Aerith too if she dies again. The true ending being Zack and Aerith, Cloud and Tifa. Everybody gets a happy ending. And a pancake.
Whew! That happy ending would love to see that. But I hope it's one of the choices for multiple endings. So OG 1997 ending will still be intact. If SE provides us with multiple endings by player's choice consequences in the game where: 1. Remake Ending / The Happy Ending - AC & Cerberus won't be connected in this timeline anymore - Where all the team will find a way to save the planet from Seph ('cause the Seph in this remake is all wrong as Aerith said) and all of them Survive. - The team now knows that Seph they're chasing is not really Him but Jenova (FF7 Ultimania Omega). Let's wait for Part 2 really. XD - They will instead save Seph from Jenova? Cheesy but that will do XD - This will generate more $$$ for SE 2. OG 1997 Ending - AC & Cerberus won't be forgotten - Where stay as it is. (Player can Opt Out paradox choices, stay on OG linear choice) - No more $$$ for SE 'cause no new story. They wouldnt be stupid enough to have her live and risk the mass hate they will get for it (not counting Aerith fans). It would also force them to change up the entire ending so i dont know if they are gonna go THAT far into changing things.

Everyone just wants to see their weak "save this person" fanfic come true while ignoring the potent impact their tragedy had on catalyzing the characters, the story, and the dynamic of build up and pay off. The fact is its already too late to kill her off. They already introduced two different mechanisms to save her (fate ghosts and alternate universes) and they already saved Zack. Killing them off anyway defeats the purpose of bringing all that in. Even Nomura doesn't go backwards (no matter what it does to the greater narrative). For as open as they pretend the story is now, much of it is already set in stone unless they're actually crazy enough to double back on the scale of The Last Jedi vs The Rise of Skywalker.

Of course we know that, he has worked on FF since a long time. But he had other people to keep him in check, just like Sakamoto wrote the script for all the good old Metroid games, but when he was given creative liberty he made Other M. Within Japanese business culture whatever the boss says goes completely overriding whatever decisions, ideas, and conclusions the staff under them may reach during the creative process. Metroid Other M is a fine example that sort of development process at its worst, where you have a boss who simply cannot be questioned by his subordinates marching a project into a grave.

Perhaps some new characters in the form of Avalanche leadership? Many possibilities for new additions. Perhaps the existing big story beats will still happen, but how we get there may be very different...

I was wondering why in ff7r the characters went to the end of the world through a door of light opened by a princess of heart.
Just to fight against a Darkside as well as Tifa, Barret and Cloud's nobodies before clashing with Xehanort's heartless.
It was a bit confusing when they went to the final world and talked about destiny and alternative timeline but the reconstruction of worlds swallowed by darkness was easy to understand as they kept the fireflies type of lights they used in kingdom hearts.
It all make sense now.

They’re basically rewriting Final Fantasy VII so Aerith can survive. Calling it now. The ending will be Zack some how coming back to life by being extracted from the lifestream. Possibly Aerith too if she dies again. The true ending being Zack and Aerith, Cloud and Tifa. Everybody gets a happy ending. And a pancake.
Whew! That happy ending would love to see that. But I hope it's one of the choices for multiple endings. So OG 1997 ending will still be intact.
If SE provides us with multiple endings by player's choice consequences in the game where:
1. Remake Ending / The Happy Ending - AC & Cerberus won't be connected in this timeline anymore
- Where all the team will find a way to save the planet from Seph ('cause the Seph in this remake is all wrong as Aerith said) and all of them Survive.
- The team now knows that Seph they're chasing is not really Him but Jenova (FF7 Ultimania Omega). Let's wait for Part 2 really. XD
- They will instead save Seph from Jenova? Cheesy but that will do XD
- This will generate more $$$ for SE
2. OG 1997 Ending - AC & Cerberus won't be forgotten
- Where stay as it is. (Player can Opt Out paradox choices, stay on OG linear choice)

They wouldnt be stupid enough to have her live and risk the mass hate they will get for it (not counting Aerith fans). It would also force them to change up the entire ending so i dont know if they are gonna go THAT far into changing things.

Everyone just wants to see their weak "save this person" fanfic come true while ignoring the potent impact their tragedy had on catalyzing the characters, the story, and the dynamic of build up and pay off.
The fact is its already too late to kill her off. They already introduced two different mechanisms to save her (fate ghosts and alternate universes) and they already saved Zack. Killing them off anyway defeats the purpose of bringing all that in. Even Nomura doesn't go backwards (no matter what it does to the greater narrative). For as open as they pretend the story is now, much of it is already set in stone unless they're actually crazy enough to double back on the scale of The Last Jedi vs The Rise of Skywalker.
Sephiroth: At last our moment is here... I swore I would survive, to see what awaited beyond the Wutai War.

Did you know Nomura was actually worked on the original Final Fantasy VII. he actually came up with the idea of Aerith's death.
Of course we know that, he has worked on FF since a long time. But he had other people to keep him in check, just like Sakamoto wrote the script for all the good old Metroid games, but when he was given creative liberty he made Other M. Same happened with George Lucas and the prequels, or Toriyama and the Buu saga, this type of writers need smarter people behind them.
