    Wow! This is the 1st interview I've come across from 56 that wasn't hostile or asking dumb questions. It's so nice to hear him speak and laugh. I love the way he spoke when he was younger. Thank you for this!

    My highschool boyfriend's grandmother told me a story which I believe because it comes from her and not from him. She used to take the grandkids, my boyfriend, as a child, included, to the best motel in Ocean Springs, MS for the summer to give their parents a break. She was watching the kids by the pool. They were like 5,4, and 3. All of a sudden, a man jumped into the deep side and pulled the littlest one out...it was ELVIS! He and his guys were passing the pool and saw the boy at the deep end! She thanked him profusely. He'd jumped in fully dressed. He told her it was nothing, but it seems he saved the boy's life! She loved Elvis the rest of her life and had decorative plates of Elvis on her walls, bought up years worth of Elvis stamps which she used when writing me. This was in the late '50's.

      Jumping in fully dressed... Man made psych evals would be marred with red flags for erratic, abnormal, over zealous, unruly behavior. TOO BAD! God adorns him in shimmering streams of GOLD!

      we're together in Ocean Springs and BILOXI
      Mississippi, 1956. He wanted everyone to think he was going to Miami for 3 week vacation, he needed a break. In this interview he sounded like he had a cold. 7-12-22

    Great interview, just hearing Elvis ' s voice, just talking means a lot to me. What a georgious man he was and , an awesome human being he was; even with all of his troubles. He was just like everyone else; a human being whom I believe loved our Lord Jesus christ with all his heart. I believe also he may have been trying to ask God's forgiveness for life ways through song. Love his gospel and country, rock- , Elvis could sing anything !! 😇😀

    Nice talking when he mentions Carl Perkins and Gene Vincent. Regarding his meeting with Gene (5:40) at the train station from N.Y. to Memphis. Elvis introduced himself and greet Gene for his record (Be-bop-a-lu-la) and the first thing Gene said was "I was trying to copy you, to sound like you".

    I wish someone would put all of these hidden gems, the seldom-heard interviews, the lost videos and photos, together and make a film with THE ONE AND ONLY ELVIS, instead of trying to recreate his life in a movie with a young actor, where there are so many inconsistencies and downright falsehoods. I'd rather spend my time listening to genuine recordings and looking at videos and photos of the real deal.

He may be gone from this earth , but his memory will always carry on . He's right , there is people that don't love Jesus Christ , but they are wrong too for not loving Jesus Christ . I love Jesus Christ and he's my Lord and Savior . I hope I get to meet Elvis Presley when I get to Heaven , but I really can't wait to see Jesus Christ .

    Was Elvis Presley getting bad publicity? if they only knew what he would do to the world...

    • @jannekedevries2360
      @jannekedevries2360 Год назад +1

      He got bad publicity because he was considered to move too sexually!

    • @MalloryNewcomb
      @MalloryNewcomb 9 месяцев назад

      Yeah people took his dancing to be sexually provocative. He was young man with a lot of energy and he just lost himself in the music. Also happened to be very beautiful-looking.
      I think then teenage girls really responded to that, like they thought he was sexy. But he wasn’t trying to be sexy. Rock and roll was more visceral than what they were used to before that - so that’s why it got that kind of response.
      I think because this was a time where premarital sex was more discouraged, the way teenage girls responded to a guy like Elvis Presley created a bit of a moral panic. They didn’t know what to do with it.
      Also you didn’t really see white guys perform with that much soul power back then. Whereas the way black musicians performed then was totally different and Elvis was very inspired by black musicians. There was a element of Southern racism at play in why some people did not like Elvis.
      I can’t really see those things as negatives not when I know that actually he was a very flawed but deeply spiritual Christian man… so he might have shared some of the values in the larger sense of the people who attacked him.
      Also some might have hated him because they were jealous! Cuz he could totally steal your girl

    • @soniaevans-ty7gz
      @soniaevans-ty7gz Месяц назад

      Elvis was no more flawed than you. Since you’re not in the spotlight, you might be more very flawed than Elvis.
