- The known footage of the "newsreel interview" compiled together - this was essentially a "best of" of the press conference Elvis held upon his arrival to the Brooklyn Army Terminal the same day a while earlier. It was done to get some 'moving pictures' of Elvis to show in the news before he headed for Germany.
Parts of the interview (audio) was released on the "Elvis Sails" EP (EPA-4325) in November 1958.
Most handsome man to walk this Earth
You could tell when they annoyed him, but he kept his cool. Wise for his young years.
Whew! He was a good looking man, beautiful eyes and smile. Very handsome soldier. He so down to earth, good man with a great sense of humor. RIP Elvis.
❤⚡👑
This man is so freaking GORGEOUS!!! Nobody will ever look like him.
Served his country did what he was supposed to do.
Can you imagine Tusi Gabbard. She loves telling everybody. Oh I m a soldier I served in the military .Oh come on.man..
Yes this is right! I saw never such a handsome and beautiful man like ELVIS until now! He had it all! Charisma, great look and phenomenal moves! ELVIS i love you forever! 💙💙💚💚♥️♥️❤❤❤❤
I sailed from the same port, and had some Special Guests on the Dock from Port Security, and kind of know how he had to feel answering all these questions, and then as the ship left port the image of the buildings shrunk as it pulled out into the Narrows, and shortly after passing Coney Island there was no longer anything to see the US was gone and so was life as we knew it
Can you imagine if his twin had lived? There would have been two of them.
@@colleenbird8816I think i like the feeling of him being the only one like nobody gets close to him i cant really explain it
He was the most intelligent man I’ve ever heard n his interviews. Sometimes they asked him very stupid questions but he still answered with intelligence. Love and miss him
So extremely beautiful...
He makes my jaw drop, I don't know how a human being could ever more perfect looking.
I doubt we'll ever see another like him.
He's literally the most stunning man ever! 😍
Now I know what Priscilla meant when she said she would watch him while he slept, I can see why!
She was so lucky!
At 70 I agree!❤
Elvis Presley was sweet boy never let his fame go to his head he was stunningly beautiful what a voice he had still loved all over the world amazing in ever way 💙👑
Living in isolation in a bubble and replacing anything that's broken with a new one, employing people who do very little for the sole purpose of berating them, and wanting to be the leader of the pack, is certainly letting fame goes to one's head
Drop-dead gorgeous!
Oh wow ! What a man ! That gorgeous beautiful smile is just amazing you just feel like hugging and kissing him . ❤️
Literally one month after his mother’s death. So sad he had to cope with that at such an early age.
Handsome my goodness. No wonder those girls went bat shit crazy for him, back in that time when flashing a toe, or a cheeky wink was a disgrace, they must have thought he came from another planet, giving that pelvis a workout and that sultry stare. He was a deeply religious man and loved his Animals.
When Elvis came to Jacksonville Florida in 1955 I was a girl of 12 and was one in an audience of hundreds captured in Life Magazine photo screaming at the top of my lungs. He was even more handsome in person. He's still my idol.
He was courteous to these reporters and nice though they asked some stupid questions. Especially, the one who asked to see Elvishair. 👮♂️
The reporter asked to see his hair... Elvis was like, I rather not in the nicest way.
@@ShingInAction check my above statement and the responses I gave from someone responded to my statement
ShingInAction what part is that?
The mold was broken after Elvis was created...Handsome man, great entertainer, etc. He had it all.Sure miss him.
Thank you for posting this. So interesting to see how mature he was, especially responding to their dumb questions. And he attributes his success to luck along with being at the right place at the right time with the right style, how humble❤ love this guy 💐forever the king
God's masterpiece. ❤️
Loved Elvis since 1954.
He was so georgus
Eddie loved elvis
Such silly questions. Just wanting the worst for the boy. But his beauty at that age surpasses everything.
Those reporters ask such ridiculous questions.
Unbelievable beautiful all angles, inside out.
Elvis presley was the most gorgeous man ever on the planet 🌏 he was so down to earth get guy love him for ever god bless you my beautiful angel 😇 elvis ☓ 💜 ❤️ 👍 2019 x
It's kind of mind blowing to think how he just sky-rocketed so quickly to this unmatched level of global fame and just stayed there.
Bodily movements..... lol....Leave the man alone poor guy... Respect to him all day long for serving his country. Great man.
Beautiful ELVIS My love thank you
V04640 thank you so much for your hard work.wonderful interviews.Elvis had such a beautiful soul.handsome.polite.🌈🌹🎸
The reporter asked Elvis to see his hair. How ridiculous is that!! How did he put up with all these people!!!
The reporter wasn't interested, it was asked because that's what the fans wanted.
Elvis was desperate for media attention, after all that's what made him famous, The media makes people famous, they'll pretend to shy away and act like they don't want them there, but the truth is they are dressed up for the occasion.
He could simply have refused to speak to them and covered his face, but he'd have already signed a contract that would allow the press to interview him and give him the exposer he wanted/ needed
I ❤️U Elvis Presley, forever 💕❣️💟💘💝💖💗💓💞💯
Thank you 👑for your service most gorgeous GI.❤👑 💯🙏 amen☝🛐🎸🎤🎶🎼🎵👍⚡ TCBTLC ⚡ 🇺🇸🇵🇷 Rip Elvis,
Sooo tall and handsome 😍 💕
So.innocent.
Can't please everyone was a perfect answer.
I love Elvis Presley forever ❤️
Sad Elvis....lost his Mom a month before this....😢💔the questions of the reporters arent clever
The project you have done is incredibly good - thanks for the PM on FECC
What do you mean?
Elvis 😇♥️ served his country and he was in the Army 🪖 Elvis 😇💜 donated his salary 🤑💰 to the Army 🪖 and he bought new televisions 📺 uniforms and other things for his fellow soldiers.
His patience is amazing with these stupid questions.
Thanks.. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🌹
I love you. Rip
So cute, wonderful, unique. 👮🏻♀️👮🏻🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Nice, kind and friendly. Thanks✌️👑👼♥️🌹
👑👑👑🎶🎶🎶❤️The KING 👑🎶🎶🎶🌏💙🙏
Colin Powell met Elvis 😇💜 while they were working in the fields ( woods) in Germany. Elvis worked during the freezing cold and snow ❄️ Elvis ate rations and and he ate in the mess halls.
Fall, immediately 😍
sex appeal in every pore and he is just being himself..comes naturally....a gift from God for him, shared for us.
Lindo de se ver
His experience in the army was very different to other conscripts, for one he had enough money to live off base and have his friends, family etc stay there with him, so he was sleeping in his own bed in his own house with home cooked meals and was driven into the army base each morning by one of his drivers or friends
En Elvis paie au impôts 8 millions de dollars.
Il aurait pu ne pas y aller.
Mais il a fait comme un bon américain !
What a stud. Long live the king.
Писаный красавец😘😘😘💋💋💋💋💋💖💔
Quel charisme en art et en armée. On dirais un général.
J'adore ❤Elvis.
Sempre gosto tudo do Elvis mesmo não sabendo nada o que ele está falando arruma tradução pra nós brasileirossss🤩
I see the tradition of entertainment interviewers asking entertainers totally inane questions was happening even 70 years ago... Elvis somehow managed to handle all of them with grace. And only a month after his mother died, too.
such a 50s cute soldier boy😊
I notice that the reporters are respectful as well, and that their not trying to trick or trip Elvis up or make him look bad.
My dad the journalist Sam A. Jaffe is standing to Elvis’s right. He might have been there interviewing Elvis for Life Magazine
And on the other side, Gabe Pressman of NBC.
@@dw438 thank you for that infor
@@dw438 I’m working on a documentary and that will be helpful.
@@deborahjaffe I've heard of your father. Did he ever comment on this interview, or express what he thought of Elvis personally that day? Great legacy to have.
At 6.00 intio the clip, the answer about the packages shows his humor.
I do believe he was talking about Priscilla on that question young or older.
No draft dodging in those days
Also no vietnam war either!
Trump Draft dodger
That’s where Priscilla was born. That’s crazy.
Like Eddie murphy said. They let him sing his parts. Like. We gotta win this race 😆
had a nose job , two facelifts eyelifts ! True
If so, hasn't yet happened.
Fixed his nose where the bridge had been hit a few times during football and martial arts. Never got facelifts. Had minor work year or so before his death to remove fatty tissue and excess skin around the eye....perhaps, under the chin as well. The face we see is what he was born with. Facelift is for ugly people and those who want to look ugly.
Here again a bunch of crap questions. Seems to me they were wanting to " Jerry Lee Lewis" Elvis. Elvis was a decent person..who didn't deserve their crazy shit.
That and the fact that hes trying not to day he met cilla. And that she moved in with him
Cilla Black?
You know nothing. She didn't move in with him until YEARS LATER back when he was in AMERICA. He had not even MET HER YET. Read a book!
Hope your ignorance has improved since this dumb comment
Dc
Who are these boneheads asking the questions? Could they have been more cliched? ("Duh, do you think rock and roll is a passing fad duh?" "Duh, has your hair grown back yet?")
The date is wrong ..this is 1960
No this is before he went to Germany, not after! Talks about how he's feeling about heading overseas in this interview!
Actually it's not 1960, in 1960 Elvis was rank of Sergeant and you don't see those stripes. This is 1958 and not long after his mother passed away. Elvis even said after this interview, "I'm sure glad the reporters didn't ask questions about my mother."
I wonder how many Medals Elvis got, for singing lullabies songs, to a 14 year old girl in Germany??? I bet, they didn't give that much attention or coverage, to all those soldiers fighting in Korea, who put their lives on the line, for their country. Give me a BREAK! Nothing has changed, everything still the same. Unfairly!
Get off Elvis man and I’m a vet.
Hope your ignorance has improved since this dumb comment
LMFAO.....A male reporter in 1960 wants to see if Elvis' hair has grown back...."hey E, can we see your hair"....no homo
lmao
@IcanFartLOUD
Hah??? You obviously got a problem..., or two, or more.
