I put it on my Steam wishlist just in case it goes for under $5. Gotham Knights wasn't quite terrible when included in a sub service. I finished the latter thinking that a $100 million plus budget could have been spent better.
I think Marvel rivals needed the avengers game to fail in order to have such a rocket on its back. Maybe the same thing will happen for DC and this awful game, and we get a DC rivals kind of game that can actually compete with Marvel
@@JoeL_1zrd I had many problems with it! Lots of issues with ms marvel, but it was fun and had some bright spots in the campaign. Having said that, it needed to be substantially better
AAA gaming studios make games for Twitter, get retweets from "journalists" and activists. Then they port it to console and somehow it flops... idk maybe don't make games for a console that doesn't even have a controller ^-^
Ages ago, i was looking forward to the game, the old trailers looked good but the second they said live service i kmow it was dead, and there was no point in being interested in it.
Youre 100% right on studios Joe. People dont recognise that the franchises they cherish are not being taken forward by the same team that made their favourite games. Same studio but different personnel. Not looking good for either Bioware or Rocksteady at the moment. And what credit does an Obsidian have in the bank, should Avowed flop? Scary times to be a dev.
@@joethealternativegamer3935Infiltrated, yeah 100%. More interested in pushing their personal beliefs/trauma dumping than making a good game or story.
Completely agree. Played it for about 5-6 hours after release and felt like it was already recycling content. Got boring so fast. Of all things a Rocksteady SS game could have been, a generic hero looter shooter?? 😒
In France, we have a saying that goes like this: "there is no such thing as small savings" Your $3 were WAY more valuable than this political pamphlet disguised as a game, even in today's crazy inflation.
I’ve just started replaying all the Arkham games after a bit of a hiatus and discovered this game after catching up on the lore. Know nothing about it really but I really wish it could’ve been executed well. As you mentioned in the video if it was a different writing team this could’ve been something that was really interesting. Imagine discovering a post Knightfall Protocol Batman who after faking his death, plays more of a ‘man behind the computer’ or just a behind the scenes/mentor role for the JLA and potentially the larger DC arkhamverse as a whole, set even further apart then this was, and part of the SS mission is invading the watchtower and confronting Batman for whatever reason. That’s just an example off the top of my head but the point is there’s really a lot of different directions they could’ve gone to expand on the already established lore and still paying tribute to the OG’s while still making their own fun game, even potentially setting up other characters and games similar to the Spider-Man games more recently. But hey money is what makes the world in our society. Shame it always comes at the cost of creativity.
The problem with the Suicide Squad, WB/DC keeps having them save the world. Which misses the whole point of the Squad. The original comics is all about sending them out on dirty missions that the US government doesn't want to be associated with. Like a powerful drug lord running a country, or breaking into a Russian prison to save a political prisoner. An ideal Suicide Squad video would be to copy Ghost Reacon Wildlands. Throw in some super powered villains working for the drug lord and boom new game.
The fact that they were selling the Ultimate Edition of this game for $5 is proof that this game is a dud. King Shark is the only character that doesn't make me rip my hair out when he talks.
Good riddance to bad rubbish.
Agreed!

Great point lol! But like why not make games for entertainment! I buy those games!

Yea we have too many!
Rocksteady should of brought back "Urban Chaos: Riot Response" a great Ps2 game.
@@DIYStangsandFreedom remaster time!
I got it a while back for the original Xbox. Cost like $50. It's a rare gem. First played on PS2 but og Xbox still holds up well on a 4k tv

I bought it, played for an hour, nearly died from cringe and refunded it to bring back my 3$, lol
