I remember years ago mod mat k did a community stream going over some numbers and data, and the ahrims staff '25' ended up being one of the rarest items in game (something like only 13 total) because no one ever used ahrims staff; that was back when it was 2handed and gave no %damage
I have iban's dove from the underground pass quest in my bank. I dropped and kept one for a placeholder. They updated underground pass now so you don't even get this item anymore at all
Sinhaza shroud is also available including hard mode tob kc eg if you have 1900 tobs and 100 hmt kc then you can claim the 2k cape. Probably around 30% more people with the cape than listed
There needs to be a 3rd age nativity scene type room in POH for 99 construction that can only be constructed with *all* the 3rd age pieces but looks absolutely dank

Afaik you can still obtain the Bounty Hunter hats by getting Target kills on the designated Target Worlds, it's just a lot slower because the wilderness is pretty dead on those worlds.

Scratch that "I don't think" part. It requires you to get all 3rd age items from clues. That's impossible to do without bugs as the time it takes to do so is counted in decades. Nobody will ever complete that, which is also why mega rares are a separate category in the collection log from the rest of the clue rewards. There are a few who have had two 3rd age drops, so there could be one or two with 3 as well given how many players there are. But 4? No chance.
@@DirtyPoul Only feasible way would be for someone from the very beginning of OSRS grind out the log and get tens of thousands of clues in each tier, and ungodly amount of luck. And it only makes it harder with more shit being added to the log.

The rest are no time in comparison, even if you add them all up. Even something like the new gilded items would alone dwarf the rest of the additions, if not for the fact that you'd get them far sooner on your road to all 3rd age items by virtue of being more common drops from the same source. That's how disgustingly rare it is. Which is fine. You don't need them. They're fun high tier, but suboptimal items for collectors to show off.
Nah believe it or not you don’t have many high lvl people playing cw due to more rewarding in game content. I played a few days ago. Granted games are time consuming but still fun and passes the time if you don’t have other things to do. Lots of mixed level players.

I always liked the way RS2/RS3 handled holiday items. If you weren't around in 2006 to get the full skele outfit / pumpkin head, you can't have one. Made those items much more special for the people who had them.
That kind of thing can also turn away a decent amount of people though. I personally hate legacy/discontinued items because it just doesn't feel fair to newer players. I only just started osrs when gim came out and since I'm a completionist, if the holiday items upto this point were unobtainable by me, it'd be enough to turn me away from the game. Mainly because it would leave so many empty spaces in the toy box in my poh. I'd be fine with making event specific items grindy and harder to get after an event is over, as compensation for those who were there vs weren't there, but I feel making an item impossible to get (at least ones that fill a collection log/ collection room), for new players who couldn't be there for one reason or the other, is a really bad design choice.
What about unintentional quest items? I've tried to keep a trinket from every quest i do ( from blurite swords to the gems from Desert Treasure) I know it's impossible to track that stuff but...i still wonder
What I do is keep every quest item that is equipable and throw away everything else, except for a few ones like the fishing pass, that gives you access to the area and some other keys
Full CW gold decorative armor used to be a trimmed completionist cape requirement in RS3 and took roughly 80 DAYS of AFK gameplay for a single cape req. Luckily it has been reworked a few years ago because it was fucking stupid.
I have a mostly complete theory on how the burnt oomlie wrap is made. I tried to make it a few months ago but I have run into one issue. I would like to find someone who can solve the last part but I also don't want to give away anything until it has been fully tested. I've tested part of it with other food, and have some promising results.

I strongly question the Oomlie number since I know several people that have pulled it off and I don't know a large percentage of the playerbase, and it's not like the CC I'm in is some kind of bug chaser haven.
im curious how many people have gotten the Jar of Darkness considering 0 people have hit the droprate for it. D/R is 1/2500 and highest player is a bit under 1700KC obviously 1/2500 players that have killed the boss would likely have it but still interesting to see imo.
This is called statistics. You have to summarize all KC from all players together, them divide with 2500. Voila, a lot of Jar of Darkness should be dropped.
In rs3 it's stuff like hatchet handles. Remember the river troll and tree spirits back in the miniclip days boys? Back when your pick or axe head could come flying off.
The number of people with the 2k theater of blood cape is more then 950. Hardmode completions are included in the total number of tob completions a player has. 950 players have obtained the cape through normal mode but I have a number of friend that have the cape with less than 2k normie completions.
Im surprised the jark of darkness from skotizo isnt on here being that the drop rate is rare as f. And on top of that you need to kill how many just to get the totems to kill him. Also, the burnt oomlie wrap is obtainable when you get the disease from zogre caves it reduces your stats. Just let them get to 1 and you can burn oomlies.

I've been trying to get the champion cape for a few years. It actually led to me quitting osrs for the last year. My skeleton KC got to 49k and I never got the scroll....
I'm assuming you have to start cooking it at 50 and then stall the action of cooking so it does the 50 cooking check but then before it actually deleted the raw and sees whether you succeeded you somehow stall and then fail. What you're describing probably has something to do with it. First pass the 50 cooking check. Stall. Lower stat without leaving the line of code. Burn. Much harder than you think.
Forgot Fish Sack, Fish Sack Barrel, Victors Capes, Full Progreess Hats from MTA, 4k Chompy Kill Hats. You should do a part 2 and get the numbers yourself from jmods
burnt oomlie wrap is made with 1hp and you cook a full inventory to try to get it... i forget who just made a video on it but its not going to be rare to soon after more people do it
Wait, can't you just use a cooked oomlie wrap on a fire to burn it? I know burning food like this was a thing back in the days, but I haven't tried it in a while and maybe it doesn't work with every food, but it might work and explain why it exists.
Burnt Oomlie Wraps aren’t the only tradable rare. Noted versions of trouble brewing items are tradable, and were obtainable for years, however they can no longer be noted. Another one would be sticky red goop which only a handful of people know how to smuggle out of Peer the Seer’s house

You do get the item if you drop the doll before getting it
The way the quest is scripted now, the doll never gets placed in your inventory. Same with the witch's cat now also i believe

A lot of the best locations are in the wildy. If you have bad luck (like me) it can be a nightmare.

There’s far more t5 shrouds in game, hard mode tobs count toward it aswell. Still pretty rare but a substantial amount over 950.

iirc the osrs team design philosophy was to never have discontinued tradables.

Yeah its widely known by now, the Oomlie wrap wiki even explains how to get it.
im curious how many people have gotten the Jar of Darkness considering 0 people have hit the droprate for it. D/R is 1/2500 and highest player is a bit under 1700KC obviously 1/2500 players that have killed the boss would likely have it but still interesting to see imo.

This is called statistics. You have to summarize all KC from all players together, them divide with 2500. Voila, a lot of Jar of Darkness should be dropped.

The number of people with the 2k theater of blood cape is more then 950. Hardmode completions are included in the total number of tob completions a player has. 950 players have obtained the cape through normal mode but I have a number of friend that have the cape with less than 2k normie completions.
Im surprised the jark of darkness from skotizo isnt on here being that the drop rate is rare as f. And on top of that you need to kill how many just to get the totems to kill him.
Also, the burnt oomlie wrap is obtainable when you get the disease from zogre caves it reduces your stats. Just let them get to 1 and you can burn oomlies.

You have to use the ice path from desert treasure. The wiki talks about how to get it.

Burnt oomile wrap, glitch? I thought disease from zogres lowered all skills. If you had it long enough you could drain you cooking lvl and get this.
but how can you cook it if it requires lvl 50 cooking? is it current stat or actual level? I imagine it's not as simple as there's so few in the game.
I'm assuming you have to start cooking it at 50 and then stall the action of cooking so it does the 50 cooking check but then before it actually deleted the raw and sees whether you succeeded you somehow stall and then fail. What you're describing probably has something to do with it.
First pass the 50 cooking check.
Stall.
Lower stat without leaving the line of code.
Burn.
Much harder than you think.

burnt oomlie wrap is made with 1hp and you cook a full inventory to try to get it... i forget who just made a video on it but its not going to be rare to soon after more people do it
Wait, can't you just use a cooked oomlie wrap on a fire to burn it? I know burning food like this was a thing back in the days, but I haven't tried it in a while and maybe it doesn't work with every food, but it might work and explain why it exists.
Burnt Oomlie Wraps aren’t the only tradable rare. Noted versions of trouble brewing items are tradable, and were obtainable for years, however they can no longer be noted. Another one would be sticky red goop which only a handful of people know how to smuggle out of Peer the Seer’s house
