Where do all those weird items go when you sell them on the grand exchange? Well probably to one of these oldschool runescape hoarders.
Hoarding osrs items is something that has been going on for a long time. Its a small community of collecters who attempt to collect huge quantities of low value or junk items, although sometimes these collections can get quite valuable.
Today I am going to be looking at some of these collections. The amount of time it takes to acquire this many items is immense

the 10m 207 doses could have been from herblore bots. its a cheap way to level up herb. they could of had a big bot farm

i love how you sometimes cant even hold back laughing at some of the collections' raw ridiculousness. I bet it was fun putting this video together
Millions of bark was farmed in bulk during the leadup to the Warding poll, people thought it would become valuable and so every bark tree in Morytania was taken for weeks... He probably started the collection right after the poll failed and had most of it right away
My thing is collecting Half Moon Spectacles. Sitting on over 3,000 pairs with a buying limit of 1 per hour. Won't stop unless it makes me a multi-billionaire or I have enough for the entire Osrs population.
fun fact, Serum 207 is one of the methods for ironmen to get some extra free herblore xp, as turning a villager back to normal takes 1 Dose and and each villager returned to normal has a common chance to give iirc anywhere up to 5 Grimy Tarromin back, sometimes if rngesus is being kind you can get back more Tarromin than you are using to cure villagers.

These kinds of collectors are a perfect match for botters. These are all very unique and unusual items that the typical player either doesn’t do or doesn’t keep. It’s perfect for botting because it’s an uncommon money making method. And most of these collectors will try to buy privately or directly from players/botters, so the items are not tracked correctly with the GE daily volume

Would love to see you go further into this subject and pick your favourite collector and break down exactly how long it takes to build the collection and how your going to go about your own collection? Maybe one thing you get from GE one tradable and one untradable all on a fresh account? loved the vid thanks.

Wow i just watched the older collection video yesterday, and now today there is a new video about Runescape collectors.
A lot of the collectors buy from players, so they can bypass the buy limit of the GE. Probably still took a long time, but not as long as buying at GE buy limit.
The products do have to come from somewhere and if they're not being traded on the GE it's hard to tell how they're moving around.
I would have to assume bots play a big role in probably more than one way for one to achieve these stacks. Assuming the player achieving them is not using a bot to help as well.

I personally collect rabbit snares. I have over one million, close to two million. Considering how few trade on an average day, that's likely a considerable amount of how many exist in the game.
Can you explain WHY you collect them? As in, the logic behind it?
@@RileyBanksWho It's fun little thing to show off while bankstanding. You just trade someone and show them 1,689,834 rabbit snares and they laugh. The reasoning is similar to why someone would make a house of cards; it's pointless, but interesting nonetheless.

Id say easier. No way anyone starts collecting X item that they just saw in a stack of million others
The thing about hoarding these items is that the demand is so low that the seller doesn't really have much bargaining power on the price.
How many partyhats do you believe to be in the game? I can account for roughly 1-2m of each color in collections. Also what do you think about people using christmas crackers? I am intrested in your thoughts on this

I'll have to ask him. Crazy collections here. I can't imagine grinding some of this or even trading to get it. 1000s of trades I'm sure smh

When I was playing, I decided to start a collection of dusty keys. Had all my alts buying at max price, I ended up tripling the price in a few months lol only ended up with like 12k of em though.
some of these people probably have the power to turn their item into 1gp within a matter of seconds.
The GE is set up that prices can't just go to 1 instantly. Prices can only go up or down by a certain percentage. That's why extremely valuable newly-released items that Jagex sets at a GE mid price too low maintains this too low GE mid price for quite a long time until it eventually catches up with what players are actually paying for it.

Have a feeling a lot of this was botted. Would be very easy to collect large sums of these items with a bot farm. Especially the serum 207 collection.
I can assure you I did not use any bots. I have about 4 alts buying them and would hop around the ge getting players to buy them for me lmao.

@@babyfood9537 I always wanted to collect something and I only had like 6m. So I needed something cheap and with a small by limit. I also wanted a green stack of something I'd never seen someone collect. Enter serum 207 when it was 4gp per 3 dose.

that serum stack is only 25m 4 doses, now thats a large stack but easier to buy them when u can accually hit buy limits on all4 doses so potions are less sought after
Don't quote me on this, but I think that the buy limit is shared between all 4 of the dose types.

Bark is really easy to get. With how many people afk vyres, one would need to bot like 20 accounts to pick up bark in darkmeyer. Would take maybe 1 week top to get all that bark

I'm guessing a lot of the feathers come from bots that are training hunter to catch chins or something

serum is very common to use for low herblore lvls and ironmans, also to find it hanging around in people their bank tho.
I think with 10 accs running ( 1 time member) you can get like 30K a day by searching too. I was more surprised about the kebabs.

One thing I thought about is if Crackers will be discountinued because they are used for gambling. That's also the only reason why they are so expensive and why syou should ever open them.
I've got 4 crackers which I've held on to for years, I've just been waiting, hoping for some reason or another, they price spike and become ridiculously valuable
@@Jacob_the_Dabbler I think they are like 200k each right now and the best item you can get is like 10k. They use it to gamble because we know the Odds of the drops. If Jagex really wants to fight the last possible ingame gambling item I'd think they won't continue it. I got 10 at the moment and if this christmas has no new crackers I'll go All in.
