This is probably one of the best electronic music production tutorials that has ever been made. Ben is an absolutely mega mind. Thanks for sharing
How do you not have a bazillion views? This is amazing!
Holy Fricken Wubba Dubba Lub Lub. THIS IS PSYTRAP/GLITCH HOP/DUBSTEP 101. I wish I'd seen this like 15 years ago when I started (trying to) produce Glitch Hop! Back when I first heard Opiou, Tom Cosm, Mollusk & ... Tipper ... Since then my quest to explore and traverse the psychedelic sonic playground began. But it's been the steepest learning curve man. I am still on the fool's path to the front door. Then 10 years ago or so I hear ZEE. 'Perceptronium' ... 'Get in there' ... FARK. So in seeing this tutorial, it's like you have given me the a set of keys to yet another perplexing and mind melting sound design language that I have for years yearned to learn, understand and speak. It's epic to learn from you Encanti, thanks to the core of my soul for sharing this and making your music. I hope to hear you perform live in this lifetime, if your are ever in Australia or I can teleport to the States man. Max Respect! Peace
I love that he's extremely competent yet he sounds like he's having fun and playing around. Such a nice guy and a great tutorial. It frightens me
Master work!
beautiful.
best tutorial ever!!!!!!!
Dude you totally know what you're doing, this is great to hear the connection between what you're saying and what it sounds like!!!!
This entire video was beyond helpful! Everything was so thorough and well explained. It was also cool getting to see under the hood of a song that I love. Thank you for doing this!
Wow. I can't believe he shared so much valuable information. thank you thank you thank you!!!! You're an amazing person!!
Sweet artist, sweet info. Thanks a lot.
At 56:36, beautiful trick of using Ozone AI to set the Dynamic EQ (easy to mess up)...
this is killer, loved hear you speak about the inspiration you get from the relationship between perceived rhythm and pitch around 25 minutes! killer brain food
Any other synths that can mutate like z3ta with the slider? I love the pitches that slow down into the rhythmic plucking sound but I don't have the cash for z3ta right now. I have serum and vital and all the ableton stock gear plus a few other plugins. Any info would be great. Also I love your basses bro! Some of the gritty granular sound u get with z3ta ( which I learned just now) are awesome.
Ableton has its own synth like z3ta called wavetable.
@@onpatrolforthejuice Hey thank you for the response! I just started diving into wavetable. I finally got the most recent ableton with wavetable as I had an old crkd version for a while without it. I'm just learning how awesome it is. Its def gonna become 1 of my go to synths for sound design exploration especially Bass!
@@metacortexvortex2131 Vital (also serum) are both very powerful and are insanely deep. As far as I know anything from z3ta can be made in Vital.
@@onpatrolforthejuice i have serum which i love and I just got Vital a few weeks ago but haven't dived in that deep yet but I'm already amazed at what it does.
@@onpatrolforthejuice I also want to mess with granular synthesis more. I haven't explored that as much as I would like to yet. I really like some of the textures and that time stretch sound kinda sound you can get. Plus you can take a weird wave form and twist it into something far off from what it started as which is pretty fun.
add some high quality chain effects and you will have a trashy nice bass?
13:00 he bypasses "pitch bending" id that just cause ableton has the worst pitching ever. who else has alternatives, cause transposing stuff isnt necessarily the best or coherent
