    This is gold! Great method to generate your own grooves from your preselected sample sets and then sample out the bits that catch your ear. Once the chain is all set up - just keep at it till you find something that works. I wonder how many sample packs are churned out from something like this method? - You have provided so much quality content in such a short video. Thanks, again!!

    i hope that you will be in top 5 results when someone search for organic/progressive house tutorial for ableton. Im that kind of people that doesnt like using premade loops so much and also i like programing (or more like trying to program :D) percussions because it doesnt matter kind of synths and melody you have if you dont have a groove that makes context. Keep it up, you are doing awesome job, love your videos.

    Problem. When I go between the 2 layers on the macro, the sound from the old layer I was one, the Hihat, will still be playing overtop of the cymbal sound and vise versa. If I goto the Hihat, I will then hear the cymbal sound I was scrolling through on the hihat layer. I can only get the other layer to stop playing if I solo each one as I listen. What is happening here and how do I fix it? I must have tried to do what you are doing 50 times and it keeps doing this.

    Interesting as a concept of possibility study but don't expect any hits using this technique.

    • @davidlisteresq
      @davidlisteresq Год назад

      Why not? This isn't a million miles away from how a lot of early electronic music was made. Analogue patch synths use randomisation loads. Even a lot of modern electronic music uses randomisation. Dan Le Sac did a tutorial video for Computer Music Magazine about 15 years ago where he used a very similar technique to get some mad synth sounds.

    • @MentalBlue
      @MentalBlue Год назад

      @@davidlisteresq yes randomisation in synth Parameter values is a completely different story than randomisation in percussion.
      This is really no "game changer" and the expression is more a clickbite than anything else.
      The structure of percussion is repetitive and certainly cannot be use this way to make wonders or even be the main thing that is launching the track to the stars.
      There are many loop slicers and randomizers out there that might give you an idea but nothing what you showed in your video sounded even nearly good enough or at least having potential to be signed by a label or hooked up to an ear or an A&R.
      Use the technique but don't expect wonders with it.

    every sample (in Sampler) have global & individual ADSR setting...?! what?!😱 Or Im wrong.?
    other setting too...? Omg...
    is the Sampler MPE ready.....? sry so much questions maybe some one could help...
    P.s. is there a chance the maped macro parameters are not deleted from the Push 2 Controller after mapping it to the LFo..

    • @lotustunesacademy
      @lotustunesacademy  Год назад +1

      Hey man, I'm not sure if it's MPE ready to be honest. Yes the sampler has global and individual ADSR settings ;)
      Once you map the LFO to a parameter in Ableton you cannot automate or control it using the Push Controller.
