This is an incredible interview with 2 amazing speakers! I have been wanting to hear this man's story, as communication is at the top of my learning bucket list. Brilliantly done, thank you both and all the people behind the Futur Podcast❤
Ha ha I know. This is so funny. When I saw the guest on Instagram I didn’t like him either. It’s weird, there’s something about him, I don’t know. But good on him for this guys success. When Chris was so honest at the beginning I was like, it’s not just me 😂
3 Tips on how to be a more Effective Communicator. 1:07:00 1. Record a 5 min video of you speaking, wait a day to review. A) Listen only - qualities of your voice, what you like, what you don't like. B) Just watch, turn the sound off, what do you like and dislike about how you move, how expressive you are, how your hands and body move. C) Transcribe it, leave in all the none words and filler words, then highlight them. 2. Send 20 min video and transcription to ESL teacher - How can I improve my Grammer 3. Mindset - Change your behaviors, let go to your future self, grow and evolve. 4. Send 20 min video to Speak Pathologist
Hearing Vinh sharing his story about doing anything to learn to communicate with his son made me think about my own story. My son is autistic and was non verbal until the age of 4, is now 21 and can speak fluently 2 languages and learnt Spanish and German at school. I share this for any parents struggling with a child with learning difficulties, hire professional to speed up his learning abilities. There are things we can’t do by ourselves! Hire a therapist, a coach, a mentor and anyone that can help you! I became a coach to support people find their happiness and even calling!
I loved the personal stories in this episode, rather than an interview completely about strategy! I didn’t realize that the teaching component of my life is what makes my now career of being an Argentine Tango teacher so fulfilling. I completed premed but completely changed paths, and there is nothing more fulfilling to me than watching my students go from no dance experience to enjoying themselves on the dance floor! I feel like I am finally doing what I was meant to do 😌
Funny how Chris says he didn't like the sound of his voice. In addition to the insightful conversations, I look for these hour-long videos because of the zen tone of his voice. It's just the right kind of energy for these podcasts.
I think that we don't always like the sound of our voice but our tribe gets to love them. That doesn't mean we can't improve our voice, only we should not try to copy and be like others. I used to think I should sound like Les Brown to be a serious public speaker, which is sadly not so. We are unique in our own way.
I might be wrong, but they look alike...one looks like the Doppelganger of the other.😊. And they are very knowledgeable at the same time in what they do. We love you guys🙏🏿
This was an Amazing conversation. I love how Chris actively listened and took notes then recap what was said then used his notes to ask out more in depth questions. Equally, Vinh's willingness to go deeper and share more. This was a beautiful meeting of the minds. Vinh dedication to his son is heart warming for sure!
I LOVE this talk ! I think this is one of the best conversations I've heard in a long time !! The reason why he switched accent is when someone switches "depth" (saying something close to their hearts) they'll subconsciously change the way they talk to lay more importance into what they say.
This was a brilliant talk, I have often struggled with verbal communication due to being autistic, I was 90% selectively non-verbal up until the age of 10. Vinh really is an excellent verbal communicator and has taught me so many invaluable tools and techniques to help improve my verbal communication. It has been a frustrating journey, especially when people don't take you serious due to the verbal barriers. But I have an excellent set of skills within my domain of expertise, and trying to translate into a verbal reality has been one of the biggest challenges. I am very grateful for all the resources Vinh has published online with regards to communication, they have been really helpful in helping me conquer my verbal communication skills. Thanks to Chris, Vinh, and the team, you folks are incredible 😍
As a person with autism what would be your recommendation for parent of kids with autism to help with their communication? My daughter is autistic and non verbal. Im always wondering what is she thinking.
@@Drakkariustry to understand them ask them how they feel, why they're thinking what they're thinking and overall just be patient I myself have autism and adhd and I was always neglected, scolded and deemed annoying bc I wasn't what we call "neurotypical" so i was always separated and looked at differently which brings me to my next point. Teach them to not care about what other people think about them or say to them unless it's useful constructive criticism then that's okay but anything besides that teach ur daughter to just be herself and flourish and that the right people will be there and come to her. Don't let her mask herself for other people's acceptance. Hoped this help much love ❤
Chris, I love the way you interview Vinh, your comments, your questions, your presence, your sharpness on subtle observations, like how he takes difference accents, you are so friendly and supportive empathic with Vinh, at same time you are an smart interrogator, like asking questions, how would this married man with a child go on to support himself on acting lesson and voice lessons, you are an stout, journalist you could be doing police work as well in empathic ways.
You two have literally changed my life and my business. I run a dog training business, nothing to do with design, but your info translates over. Thank You for your content. Without both of you I would have failed by now 100 times over. Most channels gloss over the real important things, or they are too vague to learn from, but you taught me what books to read, how to change my mindset, how to speak to potential clients..AND MOST IMPORTANT to not chase the clients that can't afford me. I used to go into sales with the mindset that I HAD to close every client and when I didn't I'd beat myself up over it. Now I realize there are people who you don't want to work with, and that's ok. There's people who don't wanna work with you, and that's ok. Without my business I wouldn't be able to work, as I have a back injury that caused me to be unemployable from my previous career. You helped me, help me not be homeless. I can't thank you enough.
Can I just say how grateful to have read this. I've always felt like Im the only one benefiting from these content. I have seen my life change over the 5 years of my career. Never realised it was thanks to these two... all along.
Oh man! Encyclopedia of Magic I still remember that channel. Learned so many tricks when I was in 7th grade. Learned the magic of showmanship through that channel. And then one day the channel was gone. So great to see you here, brings back memories.
Chris and Vinh, you are the bomb. Aaaaaaabsolutely enlightening! "Don't be so attached to who you are in the present that you don't give the future version of yourself a chance."
13:16 I had my uncle who went on the path of "sanyasa", gave up everything he had and moved to the mountains. In the eastern culture this is lesser rare than the western world. I could see Chris holding it back and practiced the socratic way. :D Lovely conversation in all.
My two favourite teachers!!! This is unreal seeing you guys come together. Awesome podcast. Dropping this comment only 2.5 mins into watching but I know it's going to be gold!
I'm halfway through now to this podcast, and my jaw is lingering from smiling :D, IM NOT JUST LEARNING I am ENJOYING all of this, THANKS CHRIS AND ZEN FOR EXISTING, YOU BOTH ARE THE REASON WHY THE WORLD IS WORTH LIVING
I’m late to this party, but man, what an episode. I love how candid the conversation is. Mad respect to both of you, two of the greatest storytellers out there. ❤❤
You were both funny while sharing your stories but also very emotional and I love that this channel is always so emotionally transparent. It's refreshing to listen to "design talks" that are not always just design. Super refreshing, thank you!
Loved every bit of this interview!! The vulnerability, storytelling and connection between both of you took me through different emotions as I listened. Had tears in my eyes at some point. The conversation was so real! Thank you so much for sharing the person behind the brand Vinh, it just deepened my respect for you. I try not to miss your Instagram videos, if I do, I catch up by watching multiples at a stretch. Finally, the tip of mixing and posting old and new content and learning from them is such a priceless piece of info for me as a content creator! Thank you Chris!
❤❤ two of my favourite teachers coming together is GOLD!! No, make that shine bright like a Diamond x2 💎💎 Thank you both for the personal shares and all the teaching. I loved the “collaboration is necessary because we all have a different perspective “ idea. ❤. Thank you Chris and Vinh for your amazing collaboration 🙏🙏
Chris and Vinh -both brilliant and both showing vulnerability. I’ve never heard an interviewer synthesize someone’s life story so well and so compassionately.😮❤
I appreciate this conversation. For a few years I felt like I knew exactly who I was and what I wanted. turned 33 years old in April and was diagnosed with ADHD in march. After receiving help, I’m having a hard time figuring out who I am now, and what I want.
Dam man.. 2 heros of mine having a conversation. I love the internet for making stuff like this possible. It's so special to me that I get to watch this.
The has been the collab I've been wanting to see for a very long time. For me personally, these are two male, Vietnamese, highly successful, masters in their fields, doing the things I love. Thanks for being great role models for me. You guys rock!
Wow, this is so deep and I am grateful for your collaboration! A reminder that we are constantly evolving and of the importance to recalibrate when we’re in these new seasons. Thank you, Chris and Vinh 🙏🏼 and Vinh, your transparency is gold, thank you for sharing some of the painfully beautiful moments of your journey.
This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my RUclips channel 6 months ago about self development. Now I have 358 subs and > 100 hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I couldn’t have learned without getting started in the 1st place.
OMG, I am going through the same thing that Chirs talks about when he states that he did not have a place to go to talk to people about design. for me it is security in a particular cloud platform. I moved from corp job to startup life where I am dabbling in other areas so I feel the pain of not finding similar people and finding "purpose(s)". Great interview.
This is the most truest podcast that I have ever heard from both two asians who hustle hard and do the job. And this is the 4th time I have watched this because as an Asian that migrated overseas, I feel so touched and inspired with both of your story. Thank you so much.
I absolutely loved this podcast. Agree that you guys are two amazing speakers, teachers, and communicators and there are so many life lessons we can learn from videos like these.
Such an honest interview. I'm very happy to hear two grown men converse so openly and vulnerably. The information is priceless but the warmth i felt listening to this is worth even more. I just.. love it.
This is a gold mine. Two of the best minds in the world. I loved every minute of your interactions and life nuggets. Thank you so much for sharing this.
Re-creation, climbing new mountains, and always evolving. I have always felt a little “all over the place” because I love learning, and have so many interests… loved this conversation, and love having stumbled upon this channel. Top-shelf stuff.
This podcast episode is awesome. The way these two amazing men speak so openly and honestly with each other is truly inspiring. I was moved by the personal stories shared and the chemistry between both men was amazing. I'm grateful for the reminder that when we take the time to listen to one another and be vulnerable, we can build deep and meaningful connections that can help us navigate life's challenges. Thank you for sharing this amazing conversation Chris.
I normally do not watch podcasts in their entirety, but not this one. Thank you for this experience! Both Vinh and Chris are amazing and so honest here.
I legit saw so many clips of Vinh on tiktok & discovered Chris youtube 2 days ago, problem is I thought this is Vinh lmao & that he has rebranded. So mindblown right now that they're different people🤯🤣
Awesome podcast, I love Vinhs videos and binge watch them... Loved to see his journey and how much he has openly shared from heart. Great bravery to do that. Loved how he and his wife have worked it out great. Also the awesome friend who sat in the mud with you..
Chris does an exceptional job of asking the right questions based off the answers he receives. i have a new found respect for both of these men! excellent job.
THIS was the podcast (of every single INCREDIBLY quality Futur podcasts) that broke me open. I do not have words. Ugh. The pain of being and feeling invisible. I help people come out, and I have yet to. Fully.
It was only a matter of time these two legends met. I having been following Vinh on Instagram past few months, I drops value bombs he drops. Love you both 😘
1:17:40 Emotional damage! Coming from South America, I realize our parents come from the same school of thought. We’re different and yet so equal. Love this channel, best alpha on the net. Hope to spend an hour with you guys at some point in time 🙂
Appreciate the depth of the work Vinh committed to . . . theater, vocal training, hiring a mentor, taking personal responsibility! Good stuff, Chris! Well done. Super stoked, will be watching this again!
22:30 that’s why ppl say behind a successful man, there’s a supporting wife 😊 And I’m sure she could see the potential in Vinh, and that’s why she was willing to support him.
I teach English to native speakers as well as second-language learners. My Vietnamese students told me that it's impolite to stick the tongue out. All that you mention to enhance speech is what I tell them. Unfortunately, I cannot share your video in my online classes because the captioning is not ADA compliant (punctuation correct, etc.). Auto-generated captions are never ADA compliant. You have a great channel. Your voice is beautiful and I hope my students discover you.
One of the best interviews I've watched/heard. 🔥🔥🔥 I love Chris's interview style, generally speaking, but the combination of these two articulate, smart, wise entrepreneurs is just the bomb. Thank you both for your generosity, and Vihn's tips at the end (saying this as ESL teacher and business solopreneur).
thank you for posting this interview!! By listening to you guys I just realized that for a long time my camera was my identity. I had to have it with me, because I could hide behind it. By taking photos all the time, I didn't have to talk to people. It made me become a great photographer → Honing the craft. But my personality wasn't really developing. I was Daniel with the camera instead of simply "Daniel". That is changing right now and God actually helps me become myself more and more without hiding behind anything. Thank you for helping me realize this
This is an incredible interview with 2 amazing speakers! I have been wanting to hear this man's story, as communication is at the top of my learning bucket list. Brilliantly done, thank you both and all the people behind the Futur Podcast❤
Thank you
In the era of the internet, WWIII, and AI, communication and human value judgements will be some of the most important skills.
“Don’t make a point without a story, don’t tell a story without a point” 👏🏽👏🏽
37:36 “It’s not studying the answer but studying the thinking behind the answer that reveals the real value.” Best takeaway from this interview!
The honesty and transparency between you both is priceless! Love this conversation.
Pls react to!!! Lol nice to know we watch the same stuff boss philip.
Ha ha I know. This is so funny. When I saw the guest on Instagram I didn’t like him either. It’s weird, there’s something about him, I don’t know. But good on him for this guys success. When Chris was so honest at the beginning I was like, it’s not just me 😂

2 of my heroes in 1 video. Wow! This is crazy. Didn't see this coming until I watched the 3min teaser.

Professor X thank you, Chris…
It’s such a beautiful thing to get to be here in admiration
You’re very welcome
Thanks for bringing him. I've been waiting for both of you to have a conversation 😃 this is Gold

Just came back to this today for a second round. Amazing interview, from an amazing guest and interviewer! Please get Vinh back again.
Thank you
Your two-way openness and transparency are precious. I adore this discussion.
Chris and Vinh, you are the bomb. Aaaaaaabsolutely enlightening! "Don't be so attached to who you are in the present that you don't give the future version of yourself a chance."
This is absolutely awesome. My daughter has ASD and I had the same breakdown. Brought me back to earth. Thanks for opening up.
I met Vinh at a meet-up 12 years ago. He was incredible back then, but this is next level!
must be neat to see the transformation
55:43 „I think giving ourselves permission to re-create ourselves is so important“. That‘s what I‘m working on, in giving myself that permission.
13:16 I had my uncle who went on the path of "sanyasa", gave up everything he had and moved to the mountains.
In the eastern culture this is lesser rare than the western world.
I could see Chris holding it back and practiced the socratic way. :D
Lovely conversation in all.
My two favourite teachers!!! This is unreal seeing you guys come together. Awesome podcast. Dropping this comment only 2.5 mins into watching but I know it's going to be gold!
A fan from Singapore, shout out to Vinh! :)
It's so great to see how engaged and in-tuned Chris is when Vinh share his stories and experiences. Just wow!
Chris is the hero we don't deserve but the hero we NEED.

Thank you 🙏
Two masters in one frame , absolutey amazing podcast.
This has me in tears…!! The motivation in the decisions to get knowledge. That’s something …!!
❤❤ two of my favourite teachers coming together is GOLD!! No, make that shine bright like a Diamond x2 💎💎 Thank you both for the personal shares and all the teaching.
Thank you Paul.

i think this is the best podcast i watch so far
The way I relate to Vinhs story! Is wild!!
THIS was the podcast (of every single INCREDIBLY quality Futur podcasts) that broke me open. I do not have words. Ugh. The pain of being and feeling invisible. I help people come out, and I have yet to. Fully.
The Ultimate Collab! Genius! A shift in the communication continum time shift!
It was only a matter of time these two legends met. I having been following Vinh on Instagram past few months, I drops value bombs he drops. Love you both 😘
This is the best podcast I've listened to in 2023
Being following Vinh for quite a while. Finally can hear him speak in The Futur. Thanks for the generous sharing!
Our pleasure!
1:17:40 Emotional damage!
Coming from South America, I realize our parents come from the same school of thought. We’re different and yet so equal.
Love this channel, best alpha on the net. Hope to spend an hour with you guys at some point in time 🙂
the avenger team I didn't know I needed, love this, thank you
Appreciate the depth of the work Vinh committed to . . . theater, vocal training, hiring a mentor, taking personal responsibility! Good stuff, Chris! Well done. Super stoked, will be watching this again!
Thank you Erik!!
22:30 that’s why ppl say behind a successful man, there’s a supporting wife 😊
And I’m sure she could see the potential in Vinh, and that’s why she was willing to support him.
I wanted to learn how to shine ✨ wow the invisibility part hit me
I searched for this podcast before releasing 😅 because of the teaser...It was so mesmerizing to see you both...
Thank you 😊
I teach English to native speakers as well as second-language learners.
Thank you 🙏
You might be able to upload the clips to sites that auto generate captions. There are sites that allow you to edit the generated captions
I did not expect this. This is probably one of the best interviews I've ever heard. So inspiring!
Thank you
One of the best interviews I've watched/heard. 🔥🔥🔥 I love Chris's interview style, generally speaking, but the combination of these two articulate, smart, wise entrepreneurs is just the bomb. Thank you both for your generosity, and Vihn's tips at the end (saying this as ESL teacher and business solopreneur).
Thank you 😊
thank you for posting this interview!!
