Hello! I recently started posting on my channel but have only gotten around 115-120 subscribers but I feel like there is a glitch or do something. Everyday the last week or two I will gain a subscriber then lose one. Next day gain one then lose one🥲It’s so weird. Also I need some advice about storage for the videos. My phone is full lol. Thank you for any help you can provide!❤
There are three things you need to keep in mind to be successful on RUclips. The quality of the video should be good and the video should be made to be useful to people or people are entertained by watching the video Video thumbnails should be beautiful And the charge engine optimization must be perfect The perfect title description description tag must be absolutely perfect
I love about being engaging right off the bat! I've watched a number of other Tubers, yours has been the most relatable and honest I've found.. I have my channel ideas and while stumbling to get going I'm not giving up
Yt shorts got me over 900+ subs this past week totaling over 500,000+ views, I really do recommend them if you’re starting out your RUclips channel (and use a lot of Famester as well). My channel was dead for like 7-8 years and it's now just pulling in subscribers & a community just from YT Shorts, so definitely get on that.
Definitely agree with all of these! 3 is a lot of work but I feel it’s a big part of my success as well as believing in yourself to getting monetized so quickly! I would also suggest considering adding a series. Thank you for sharing.
I think I am handling subscribers well now. The biggest problem seems to be the watch hours though. I have looked at the retention times and such. Changed things up, moved things around but still, there is the watchers drop. I work in the crafting realm so.. it may come with the niche.
Solid advice on multiple videos per week getting you the experience/skills you need faster. Just like the effect of compound interest in investing; 30 videos in 10 weeks is better than 30 videos in 30 weeks. It allows you to reach quality faster and build momentum that the YT algorithm will notice.
Alexa, more top tips! Raw and brutally honest, as always! If I had discovered you earlier I would have bought a batch of 10 hours worth of of one-to-one’s with you !
Great info in this one! This is going to help so many people starting out! Also, this definitely wins the award for the best photobomb thumbnail of 2024! Love it!
Good afternoon beautiful friend! Thank you for this wonderful video. I love how you are always so down-to-earth and relatable in your videos. Your excitement about RUclips fuels my own. But I also came here to say that there is a little typo in your title...Unconventional is spelled wrong. And of course we all know this was just a slip...because you are sooo busy taking care of your family, maybe getting ready for dinner, and working so so so very hard to give ALL OF US OUT HERE such uplifting, helpful, easy-to-understand tips...that your fingers were probably typing a mile a minute. THANKS AGAIN FOR BEING SUNSHINY YOU!!!
I ran a google ad when my channel had less than 300 subs. I think it was $15 per day for a week. In 10 days I had over 3,000 subs and 475 watch hours. You can literally fast track the whole process if you want to pay.
I've been watching your videos and doing my best. One of my videos hit 3k views! I know that's not super much, but it's definitely growing! And I agree, I should just be genuine. Thank you! ❤
Your insights on authenticity, audience focus, and consistent effort are spot-on. The emphasis on believing in yourself is especially inspiring. Thanks Alexa for sharing your wisdom!
This is a great video and it's truly Inspiring but there are so may different people saying do this and do that . None of them are on the same page some say just be yourself . Some say get better at scripting . Some say rehearse before you film or record. It's like mind boggling I don't script and I just go with the flow . I dont know sometimes I think RUclips is truly difficult and depressing but I'm going to keep pushing and going . Good luck to all us smaller creators hopefully we got this . 👍
Very helpful suggestions. I think the first one is probably the key to RUclips success. Talking to the camera as if you are talking with a friend. Thanks for sharing these tips!
Thank you this was the advice I needed to hear. I have under 100 subs and I think remembering to believe in yourself was the missing piece for me. These are the best tips.
Love this Alexa! This is what i do with my one month old channel offering free coaching personally and professionally and hope it grows fast like your story
There's no way I can do 3 videos a week, but I have noticed since I've switched to bi-weekly my talking to the camera has gotten a bit worse. So I'm thinking of making shorts just to keep that practice. I also feel like it's been hard to know "what the people want!" while balancing "what I want to share!" because I think I could grow quicker as an expat in Japan channel but I want to be an art channel - but it feels like that's been a harder niche for me to figure out. Anyway - thanks for video~
Yes you got good point. I watched several people giving advice to beginners like us, and one was a good advice which you need to upload shorts and almost every day and if you an do 3 shorts per day. Most of those shorts need to be uploaded after or around 6 PM in US at least to get attention by RUclips so called algorithm. For while I was doing shorts and I was getting good subs out of it, but also some people say if you upload mostly shorts, then RUclips might only promote your shorts and ignore your long videos and at the end of the day shorts don't generate much of revenue compare to long. But yes do shorts to get subs is good idea, but 3 shorts per day well depends on ideas and contents
Looking at older videos is such an important thing. I hate many of the things you just described. So now I am going to redo some of them with a slightly diff angle on the topic but make them more engaging, less of me talking and more b roll. And most of all try being less professional and more like me- funny.
Does it matter if you jump around or have more than one niche? I am really into the guitar and music gear niche but its super saturated so I am trying to mix it up by adding a personal VLOG and a travel and exploration series as well.

I think Ms Elinda’s strategy is the best at the moment, I recommend it for beginners because it is perfect for now and it is known so you don't lose your money.Ok
I don't know what drive subs to your channel, but from my experience I had a channel mostly music and took me almost 2 years to get 1000 subs, at the same time I have another channel mostly my travels, food, music and more. I see some of my contents are getting good subs but some even can't get good views in months. However, lately I attended a concert in Orlando for a musician, my wife almost recorded entire concert. I edited the video and posted about over an hour of the concert and my channel got about 2000 subs in one month and over 100K for that video. Since then I get at least 10-20 subs per day. Not sure how RUclips promote your videos but I think that is the way. I know also friend of mine has channel but he gets subs through running promotions which cost you money
I’ve been actively posting for two months now and have grown from 85 subs to 341 as of today. I feel like this is slow growth but my niche is also pretty small (exterior cleaning). I have a few videos with more than 1k views but most of my subs come from shorts. How do I get better and engaging the audience better to increase watch time and subs?
It really just takes one video to change your channel growth and trajectory. Keep providing a ton of value that people can’t help but subscribe negates you are so valuable to them. 💜
Because I lost my job to a new policy after 13 years of total devotion. It made me sick to my stomach. With three small children I wanted to take my income into my own hands. 💜

Hello everyone, my channel was created in 2018. However, I only started uploading videos about a month ago and only have 5 subscribers. I don't understand why that is. I would be grateful for tips. Thank you in advance🙏
From first glance at your page I would say work on your thumbnails. Just study what other people in your space is doing and keep up with posting consistently and things will eventually turn around. I run 4 channels and this particular channel that I’m messaging you from, I have heavily neglected while getting my other pages monetized. I’m working to become more consistent and I’m seeing results mostly in my views. While I’m working on my growth I’m able to build my branding, editing, and thumbnail skills. I have changed out a few of my thumbnails like 4 times 😂. And I have also worked on cleaning up my description box for seo. The last thing I need to do is to stick to uploading long form content 3x a week. I also stopped posting shorts and I’m considering deleting most of my shorts because on this channel shorts has completely destroyed my long form content traffic. I hope that this information I’m sharing with you can help you figure out a few things for your channel. Much success to you ❤.
