@@JasonJoyrides more or less. It would have been nice if multimap could include also different stages, not just octane and burble settings. But from my understanding, it can’t do more because of the internal memory of the ECU

@@abyssal_conquest7884 I've had several people reach out with the same issue. They released another update for the app last night: 4.82. Check the app store and make sure you have your app up to date. I believe that update fixes that issue

Thank you for this video. I found it very informative. For my daily driver I don't think I will use the anti-lag or brap features. Please keep up with these videos. FYI - I have a 2011 BMW 335xi Sedan with the N55, FOB, running MHD Stage 2+ on 91ACN gas.

Did you notice any change in the maps after the update? I flashed stage one again and im making ~2 pounds less boost and the car definitely feels slower. I might just have re-flash the tune. And big thanks for being one of the only people on yt to cover n55e stuff!
@@wtp485 no I didn’t notice a difference in the way the car pulls. If anything, I notice that the shifts feel stronger now like boost isn’t dropping as much in between gears.
@@kianvejdani7921 means a ton bro! You could always hang onto the 128i and pick up a 135i! I think the 128i has its own special charm, considering it being NA, and especially yours being a manual.
@ yeah that could be a good option to switch up the platforms. If you have the budget I’d recommend an F series N55 car because they are more tuner friendly
@@E9XJD I believe that is correct. Make sure your battery is good and full if you aren’t using a battery tender. I usually try to make sure I flash right after driving the car for 15 minutes or more, that way I know the alternator has fully charged the battery.
@@mistydribble4fun788 no it’s not needed. Definitely don’t use it if you suspect your turbos are tired though unless you want to excuse to upgrade lol. I just have a catless dp, aluminum chargepipe, 5” intercooler, and 1 step colder plugs. Stock turbo.

Curious about the overrun braps, when activated are they always on no matter what? I know for the OG M2 it would only turn on when in Sport/Sport+ (I think). I have an 6MT 135i N55 so this is intriguing to me but I also feel like it would get old very quickly if it was always on

Another great video bro! I've got my battery charging overnight and flashing tomorrow morning. I'm v1.60 right now (didn't care for 1.84). I'm gonna create a backup of my ecu in case anything weird happens with my car on this 2.xx map because I honestly like how my car drives now. Oh yeah, I had a drl go out on me so I replaced them with the yellow leds you did a video on a while back. I noticed you don't have them installed anymore. Did they give you issues?

Do you have a DCT? From what I know the 6AT trans don’t have it. I never really messed with the XHP launch control though, because I’m not trying to mess my trans up😅🥲
@@davidgrant1142 download the MHD Flasher app and log in with your email and password. It will adopt your pre-existing licenses so no need to buy anything new. I walk through all the steps in the video. Use the chapters to watch the how to access the new features section
I bought my MHD E series license before they made MHD Flasher. Signed into my MHD flasher with same account and it won’t let me switch me account from MHD E series to MDH Flasher. Would I have to buy a new license? Please help
@@slammd4643 that’s strange. I bought mine almost a year ago and have had no problem logging in with my original license. Maybe reach out to MHD via email. They should be able to clear that up for you because you definitely should have access with your N55e license
hey man just tried flashing and ran into some issues i’m getting a weird code that wasn’t there before and engine is in limp mode, can’t clear the code, flashed back to 1.84 and the code is still present. i literally drove the car to work today and it got me home without an issue, before flashing the beta maps i saw no codes active, im stumped
@@Dutch79 I would probably play it safe and not run it with a high flow cat. With burbles, anything above soft aggression is going to be harmful, and anti-lag is even more aggressive than burbles so I’d just say to really be careful with it. I probably used it more this week just to learn about it and make the video than I will for the next 6 months. That’s just my conservative perspective though.

@@NaqeebWatson Overrun should be fine to use on stock setup. M cars these days come with it from the factory and obviously have stock cats and whatnot so you should be good.

@ right now I have burbles set to 1.5 sec OEM style only in sport, none in normal mode, and short brap. Stage 2+ (VRSF catless downpipe, ARM 5” intercooler, VRSF aluminum charge pipe)
@@aombarbor I don’t think I really get that sound much in between shifts because the DCT is so quick. The DME logic might not activate it for upshifts either but only when the throttle angle decreases a threshold amount within a certain time period, so if the throttle isn’t closing enough on upshifts it doesn’t activate. I might play around with the xHP settings to see if adding torque reduction increases the brap between shifts, but I’m not really a fan of how the shifts feel when torque reduction is set super high.
@@aombarbor same here or at least that’s what it does on f and g series. U get the brap on upshift. Getting a brap when letting off throttle is kinda pointless snd acts the same as burble. I only hear the barp when my car cuts power because of traction control

@@beast941 thanks! I've been digging into the N55 DMEs since this Spring and spent some part of this Summer to implement this feature. In hindsight, I needed to focus on things like multimap and flex fuel first since these are more meaningful. I sort of put this on a backburner when I heard that MHD was going to make an MHD+ release for the N55e, but not it sounds they still don't have some things I want like actually useful launch control.
Be careful with anti lag especially with no port and e85 cracked rings on my n54 twice and few of my friends delt w same all happening after anti lag use all that low rpm high boost situations strain engines a lot
