I shoot reels everyday for a living, I thought I would get bored and switch away from this video, but I enjoyed it. Very informative, and well put together. You earned a subscriber from the Caribbean. Keep up the good work.
As someone who has just graduated and taking my first steps into the freelance industry of film, you are amazing. The format and behind the scenes is so helpful , I just want to say thank you. You deserve more recognition, keep it up :)
Thank you so much for stopping by and watching! I love sharing our process so hoping to create more :) let me know if there's anything specific you're curious about!
This was so dope. So inspiring. My ADHD is on 10 right now. 😂 I liked, commented and most importantly,I subscribed. Best of luck to your page and business. Hawaii is on the Bucket list ❤
All I can say is thankyou. Thank you for this casual but detailed run down without over hyping everything. As a newbie to video, I would love to see your autofocus settings etc and even see a recording of your camera screen to see how your autofocus etc is working etc etc. Again, thank you so much for this video
I'm going to try and upload more video tutorials focused on beginners! For this shoot, I auto-focus and just clicked on the screen to focus on the subject's face :)
wow! really love what you did here! lots of great detail for making vertical reels that are just a minute long in most cases. They look beautiful and your process of wide, medium, and tighter shot is really a great way to break down how you make your shots interesting and more dynamic.
I just started filming vertical reels for small businesses and I must admit this video was straight to the point. I need to get in the habit in filming in 60p just in case I want to slow things down in post. Thanks for this awesome video.
You did a great job here, there was like no fluff in this. I am taking notes for sure. I shoot for my fiancè alot and when she goes to creator events I struggle to capture the vibe. This was helpful! I would love to see your thought process on color grading, your colors on the fashion reels were so crisp! Subscribed
Wow! I am a designer/social media manager that just started using a professional camera to film reels. I am looking to level up my game and this video helped immensley! Thank you so much.
Thank you for your time and effort in creating such an informative video. Appreciate you showing your thinking and the BTS of your work! Keep creating :)
ive shot a few events , and I like the formula you did here , and going to use it as an example , I like that you got people to smile and wave , Im always going around and trying to get shots organically of people doing that , but that seems way easier what you did and less time consuming LOL so thanks !
@ no the people looked like they were genuinely smiling and happy , which is a testament to what you are doing and being polite and asking them , I’m going to use it for sure , side note , do you press record on your camera , I noticed you doing it , does the gimbal you have not have Bluetooth where you can press it on the gimbal , I may be mistaken though , I have the RS3 pro
I was going to say if you connect a USB C cable over to the ronin and your camera you can use the record button and the wheel to change ISO when shooting, it helps out so much not having to reach over to the camera record button, but this was amazing, and really inspired to go out and shoot again!
this was shot beautifully! i'm currently trying to grow my skills in videography so this BTS video and breakdown your shotlist/why was super helpful. thank you!
lol i thought you had 100k + subs while watching this :D it's rare that i watch a video without skipping but you managed to keep me watching! Learned a lot and now I'm heading over to your color grading vid :P
I might have missed it but what picture profile are you filming at? Can you show those settings? Also, what ND filter are you using? Thanks in advance and happy holidays!
Wow, really nice video. Which camera did you using to document you filming the event.? If it is Dji Pocket 3 how did you get that kind of background blur 😮
The fact you did professional work with the Sony 50mm f1.8 is reassuring! I've for whatever reason, tricked myself into believe you have to have GM lenses for that kind of thing.
Amazing video!!!! Loved you showing the behind the scenes and then showing the finished product. Very informative. Reel came out amazing! Keep up the dope content! 🔥 #YupYup
Hi Rena, This is a well deserved OMG! Very informative, well done, just a really awesome job show casing and explaining! I have the same camera A7Siii, A1 & a bunch of GM primes, zooms & one G lens. Why and how do you find using the Sony Zeiss 55mm f1.8 lens in terms of distance from subject and the gimbal? ...did your arm/shoulder get tired at all? Were people alright with a bigger (even though Sony is small I think you know what I mean though, right:) in their faces? ...I often wonder about that. The Zeiss lens is really sharp and has a unique flavour to it, one of my friends whom films in NBA was showing his footage and we were chatting about that lens. Have you tried the 35mm f1.4 GM when shooting vertical or the Sony 40mm f2.5 G yet? I think I hear this term being said too often although in this particular case I would agree, have you used a Osmo Pocket 3. It is pretty amazing and super easy. Loved this video Rena and thank you.
We used the sony 55mm when we film weddings so it's what we had on hand! I like how we're able to really focus in on our subjects since we weren't getting too many landscape shots or anything. There was enough space since we're filming outdoors! I'm weak so my arms were definitely tired hahah Most business owners that we filmed didn't seem too intimidated by our set up :) I try to keep things short and sweet so they don't feel too awkward. I haven't tried those two lenses vertically! I have an osmo pocket 3 that I bring when I travel. I love it since it's tiny, fits in my purse when I don't want to bring my a7siii :) Thank you for taking the time to watch!
the amount of effort into this BTS video is insane! Nice little nuggets of info too! loved the watch :)
thank you for noticing the little details 🥺💕

One thing I was missing is how you set the focus?
Thank you! :) you have my subscription
I usually do auto focus! Sometimes I'll click on the subject to focus, then turn off the auto focus :)
you can connect the dji to your camera and press play directly from it via bluetooth :) great video btw!
thank you for the tip!! that would make it so much easier hahah
I might have missed it but what picture profile are you filming at? Can you show those settings? Also, what ND filter are you using? Thanks in advance and happy holidays!

How were you able to screen record your camera?
Awesome video 😊

OMG, the colours!! Love your video. Thank you so much for sharing. P.S. How do you get the logo animated like that?
They had a designer animate their logo so they already had that on hand!
