Love the color grading. Have you thought about investing in the gm 2 16-35? Lightweight with a bit of focal range for flexibility. GoPro is great too as you can utilize multiple batteries in case it dies.

Can you make a video/tutorial explaining how you color grade? Do you use Premiere? This is still the hardest thing for me to grasp while I'm making my videos. I LOVE your color grading in your videos! Honestly I wish I could make videos as high quality as yours, but I need to be more deliberate with my shots and stepping up my content to the next level!

I loved this! I'm still getting used to filming while traveling (I have a canon sl2 and dji action 2). How do you efficiently pack all of your gear? Do you have a separate bag with just cameras/gear? I'm someone who would prefer not to check a bag but now I'm wondering if I need to get a bigger personal bag to fit everything. 😅
It kind of depends on the trip and how much I want to prioritize filming! If it’s a short trip, I’ll just bring the osmo in my purse. But if I bring more gear, I’ll bring a small camera bag like the one I’m using in this video or I’ll bring a bigger bag that fits my camera gear 🥲
love this so much! also question! How do you isolate your voice so well specially with all that wind? I use a rode mic wireless, i hope that isnt so much of a difference vs the DJI, do you do it post production? This video was perfection ty youtube algorithm.
I tried to cover the mic from the wind with my hands for this one since I forgot the wind muff! That helped a lot and then we also used the "Voice Isolation" in Davinci resolve to clean it up a little bit more :)
Love the vibes of your videos!! My videos are almost always just b-rolls, since me and the wifey feel shy or awkward (not shooting) but editing our vlogs. Also the DJI Pocket is so tempting to use for travels! I just wonder if you can get tight shots with it.

Except I still cringe a little when I hear my own voice while I'm editing hahah I definitely film a lot more using the Pocket 3 because it's so easy to take out, definitely worth it. I think you can zoom on it but it never looks that good so I just keep it wide!

Im really torn between getting the dji pocket 3 and insta 360 go 3s. would really like your insight on which one is better for someone who would like to document her solo travel more
I would personally go with the DJI pocket 3! I find having the handle+gimbal easier to vlog with. The insta 360 GO 3s will be a better choice if you're planning to primarily focus on activities like hiking, running, cycling, water sports, etc. since you can go hand free with the GO 3s.
How much space (GB, TB) do you normally allocate say for like a week overseas? Currently shoot SOOC but wondering what the bump up in file sizes would be if you were to shoot everything in LOG.
Hmm it depends on how much you shoot but I just checked my travel folder for reference and for Lombok (2 weeks, sony a7siii, dji osmo) it was 202 GB, New Zealand North Island (1 week, sony a7siii, 118 GB), South Island (1 week, sony a7siii, 134 GB). I shoot everything in log, I film little snippets throughout my travel and usually don't film super long talking segments which can take up more space. I usually bring two Sandisk SSD 1TB to back up the footage on two drives (I also sometimes bring some work edits with me as well, which is why I bring two). Hope this helps!

How did you choose to spend the extra money on the Sony A7S3? I can't bring myself to justify spending than I need for a full frame. I was looking into the A7Cii which is already still expensive. Your account isn't huge, do you make any kind of money off your vlogs or is it just something youre passionate about.?
@@Murmurrr I’m a professional wedding videographer so we already had the a7siii for our wedding work! I started vlogging during Covid because we weren’t able to film any weddings :) RUclips is more of a passion project for me at the moment.

Try the Tamron 20-40 f/2.8. It’s incredibly versatile and compact. Can also punch in with clear image zoom to get it to 60mm.

How did you choose to spend the extra money on the Sony A7S3? I can't bring myself to justify spending than I need for a full frame. I was looking into the A7Cii which is already still expensive. Your account isn't huge, do you make any kind of money off your vlogs or is it just something youre passionate about.?
@@Murmurrr I’m a professional wedding videographer so we already had the a7siii for our wedding work! I started vlogging during Covid because we weren’t able to film any weddings :) RUclips is more of a passion project for me at the moment.
Do you recommend the 35mm lense or the 20mm for cinematic videos?
I would stick to the 35mm!
