Really enjoy your quick short videos mate, I do watch a lot of different car detailing vids but you make it simple not overly complicated and the results are just as good as what I see with with guys in professional set ups and expensive tools. Great stuff keep going.
Spot and a great result! 👌🏻
I'll try this on a '12 Pug 208 and the horizontal surfaces have really suffered!
Thank you very much, your explanation of the expanding circle of higher grit was of special importance to me. I never understood it before.
Thanks for watching!
new subscriber here. marvelous channel! thank you! this way of doing headlights is much better than the headlight restorer kits, they suck.
They do! Thanks for watching
Brother, your videos are awesome.
I appreciate that!
Excellent guide, very easy to follow for most enthusiast car owners, I've done this wet sanding and polishing on a few friends cars and they were amazed.
I think the way car design has evolved in the last 10+ years or so means that the headlights sweep back with the bodywork resulting in a good portion facing directly upwards at the sun - leading to this damaged coating.
Great stuff Steve glad this has helped
Brother you are my go to guy, in time of need. Thank you for sharing your skilld
Thanks for the support
Awesome tutorial 😊
Nice one
Thanks mate!
I find that the finish with Headlight Atomizing Cup (liquid polimer), gives a perfect finish with UV protection
When you go through all the grades of wet and dry, how do you know when to stop?
When it is polishable.. 2000/2500/3000 grade depending on your polishing tool and compound your using
Good job bosw
Isn't the factory uv coating destroyed, so lamps will be all cloudy within a year? It should be sprayed after the work i think
great vids brother! menzerna400 or farecla g360?
G360 brother
Could you use a DA to sand from 600-2000 instead of hand sanding?
Alternatively can you use 3m's clear coat wipes? so need to sand it back withg 1500 before applying? and does the 3m wipes still need m,ore sanding plus polishing?
@@karkule5919 Your work is lovely mate! Cheers!
Any thoughts on adding a PPF on the lights?
Not sure on this one
Be sure NOT to have any polisher left on the lights before you spray it with 2k. I thought I cleaned it ok, but was not enough on one light - clear coat reacted with a polisher and made an orange peel finish
use a panel wipe before spraying too
Does this method work with glass and plastic headlights?
Not glass but AFAIK most headlights are plastic
Great video. But no music while you explain please.
Thanks and sorry
Lose the music, otherwise a good video 👍🏻
Ha. K
Where un the world are you? Can I pay you to do my headlights?
Wow !
I waa truly amazed to see the bad masking job you performed to cover the body correctly...I believe such a cheap restoring job for a nice and expensive PORSCHE is really not worth it, at least not por that car.
At the end you recomend spraying clearcoat laquer ! and let me tell you that your headlights will turn yellowish very soon, I believe that things should be repaired correctly and the right way, on any car, especially those kind of cars.
Sometimes some good advice from DYSs is the worst advice to follow.
Sorry if I hurt your feelings, but it had to be said friend because someone will totally ruin their headlights this way.
You don't hurt my feelings. I hope you are OK and well.
Mint my gti drivers headlight is going dull like that think I’ll have a bash this weekend, will normal lacquer do or is there a special plastic one to use? Just subbed too and binge watching 👍
2k lacquer is best and wear a mask
😂 common fault on these boxsters are full of common faults😂😂😂
Ha
Thanks mate!
No problem
