- We are pleased to announce that we will be launching Terraria 1.4.1 tomorrow! This is expected to be the final content update for Terraria - so you won't want to miss this! Terraria 1.4.1 will include the final NPC, new achievements, lots of balance changes, bug fixes, new vanity, and the long-requested game credits (done Terraria style)!

@@SnakePartyPL I think a lot of the issue with the Guide is that, when he was fresh and new, he would randomly open doors during the night and let all the nightmare creatures in to slaughter you. At least he always did in my worlds.

Re logic if you're reading this, thank you for making terraria. I love this game and terraria will always have a place in my heart, I started playing back in late 2013 and I 've kept playing it since. Terraria is fun and has great replayability, progression, creative possibility, and difficulty if you so choose. To see this game grow over the years has been amazing. Thank you so much Re logic and I cant wait to see what comes next.

Thank you, Relogic. Over the course of nearly a decade you turned your little project into a gigantic masterpiece. You could've put the updates up for sale as DLC and made millions doing so, but you didn't. The world doesn't deserve Relogic.
If it was DLC it wouldn't make them as much money because people wouldn't buy it. Part of their monetary success is precisely because they didn't make DLC which made people return to the game, invite friends, people making new videos which resulted in newer players and their friends, etc, etc. DLC would've probably killed the game financially. No millions. Just a dead project that would maybe turn a profit thanks to the early hype.
Also DLC should not be looked at as bad. Bad DLC should be looked at as bad. Gamers should stop buying DLC before reviewers give a thorough review of it so that it forces studios to actually put a lot of effort into DLC so that it's worth the money. Consumers are the reason for bad business practices. Not the companies. When people start having some god damn patience is when you'll see monetization of video games see a new era. So don't bash DLC. DLC is fine. Encourage good consumer behavior instead.
Don't hype before you see a product. Don't buy until that product exists and you have confirmation from a reliable source. Let people play the game for 50 hours before they say "it's good" and you buy it so that it actually means something. Same goes for movies and any other product/service that exists. Bad consumers result in bad business practices because if you don't play by those bad practices, you lose to those who do. Hate the players, not the developers.
In summary:
Re-Logic wouldn't've made millions with DLC. They would've shut the project down long ago with DLC.

@@SiMeGamer Even if they did go down the path of making the updates DLC, not only would it have made them much less money. But the game would be seen as a lot more dated too. Without the plethora of resources the game gives you with progression is what makes Terraria. And if it was infact DLC, I'd argue it would have been an example of bad DLC. It's like making players pay to play each world in a Mario Game, or making people pay for chapters in an RPG.
@@randomguyontheinternet7940 I agree that if the updates we got with Terraria were DLC it would've been really bad DLC because it's a literal expansion on the base game. It's not just extra side content. It changes the entirety of it. With Mario I would only agree if it meant the base world of the game had a complete story on its own. If the extra worlds had enough content to justify the price of the DLC WITHOUT affect the core game (the non-DLC one) then it could potentially be perfectly fine. From what I know about Mario though you would be correct because the story doesn't end until the last world so making it DLC would make it an incomplete game to begin with.
It doesn't matter where we came from, some of us came from console, some from mobile, hell some of us started on pc. but we're all gonna be here for the final content update of terraria, I love how far this community has come and how much love this game got. I hope we can continue our journey through mods. It was a fun ride, and I'm glad to have grown up with this game

Reading this reminded me this game isn't just PC. It's got mobile, console versions, had 4 massive updates, drama, the works. Man, being here since the alpha that was leaked online, to now seeing this game filled with thousands of hours is cool to see for sure. Just sad about the blue situation, and their feeble and whack attempt to create Terraria: Otherworld. Also blue has basically been scrubbed from the game, just like all other game dev fall-outs.
Why is PC the one you accentuated compared to console and mobile, if anything mobile is the most outlandish of them and PC is where terraria started. Don’t get me wrong, I love the sentiment but that was weird

When I first picked up 1.2 on mobile I made a character with blue hair. He became a hero of a village full of box houses. Years later I picked up 1.3 on PC and used that character until 1.4 released. You guys at Re-Logic have given me more memories than any other game company. It’s sad to see an end to the games content update, but the memories I have made and will make will never end!

I swear it took me two years to find ppl as destroyed about it as me somehow
when i played on xbox it did not delete any of my worlds when going from 1.2 to 1.3
@@heybra1216 did you play multiplayer ever? How the bug worked was if you didn't restart your terraria everytime before and after you went multiplayer, it would replace the last single player world you went on with a broken small version of the last multiplayer world you went on. How something as gamebreaking as that got past playtesting I'll never know.
Also a weird glitch happened with only the character I used when 1.3 came out. Basically ill buy stuff from NPCs and ill run out of money but I'll still get the things anyway. Literally infinite stuff no matter how much money I have. Doesn't work with my other characters.
Yall remember world corruption back on the 360 and ps3 edition that would literally split your world in half and rearrange it?
