    Hello, I just bought a laptop cooler with 4 usb ports and I have a question. I'm using the one port to connect and use the cooler but what could I do with the other three? I thought the cooler would act as an intermediate for the laptop and hook other things to it for example external hard drives and usb sticks. I'm confused ..

    • @MelancholicSerenade
      @MelancholicSerenade 7 лет назад +1

      No, they are not for external hard drives and so. They are for, in case your (cooler) ports, gets faulty you can use other three. I think so..

    • @bapupradhan1789
      @bapupradhan1789 7 лет назад

    you should use speed fan and see the difference on the video with and without the fan on cpu and gpu temperatures. that would have been interesting to see. its too bad you don't do prototypes with 3dprinters. that would have been cool to see you design it with a 3d printer.

    Simple methods which are easy to follow and understand.
    Recyclable material used which is an incredible idea! This is a very cost effective solution, one worth giving a shot at home!

    LOL! Why not just open your laptop and clean the dust bunnies out of the aluminum heat sink blades. Maybe replace the thermal paste if its so old. If it's overheating blowing more air won't help much if it can't get between the fins. Just saying...

  • @TheDragonfriday

    Its cool to DIY but is it efficient? idk, i feel like the blade isn't angled correctly and its not efficient at all. If you really care about your laptop, just buy a cheap cooling pad... or just buy a computer fan instead of building the blades using bottles...

    I did it my own personal shit low budget way. I have stood up my laptop with regular books on each side to put my laptop 3 inches up. I cut out my fan as done in the video. This is where it gets stupider, I still have the cap on the bottle and I have a screw that goes from the bottom of the cap and through the top of my bed side chest (I'm throwing it out soon so i dont care about it anyway). The cap is loose around the screw in a way that it won't fall apart but that the fan can move without getting stuck. Here's where it gets stupider. I have sat a regular household fan a few inches away from my laptop to propel the fan and that's all. It sucks and makes me want to die, Hardly works but it looks cool so I'm keeping it.
