  • Hello friends,
    In this video, I made a miniature sword using a steel nail.
    All the necessary explanations are provided in the video, but if you have any questions, feel free to ask, and I’ll be happy to answer.
    As for the sword stand, I should mention that I only used two magnets to hold the sword in place, which is very simple.
    If you enjoyed the video, I’d appreciate your support through comments, likes, and subscribing.
    Also, stay tuned for the next video!

    I like this bloke, all his work made with simple tools, no state-of-the-art cnc cutting gear or even a lathe, just an adapted grinder with a chuck. Brilliant.

      @@motherlandmars5999 No. Hands evolved to be better able to climb trees and other things, and then for fine control and motor function when we began to walk upright. Then for tool making and use. And then for communication. All adaptation is driven by survival. If we were made perfect then we wouldn't have needed any of that stuff would we? Proof of not existence of allah.
      Also that quote of Newtons was made quite somewhat sarcastically, as he was a deist and didn't believe we were 'made' the way we are by a god.

    J'ai cliqué sur ta vidéo car une mini épée faite avec un clou, je voulais voir cela. Et tu as fait une œuvre d'art, tu doit être orfèvre de métier vu ton matériel et ton savoir faire : les gestes, les techniques. Ton épée est superbe avec son support et la sustentation magnétique, c'est magnifique. En français on appelle cela du " travail d'orfévre ". Et il y a une autre expression qui dit d'un objet bas de gamme, mal fait : " cela ne vaut pas un clou " , dans ton cas c'est le contraire tu as fait d'un simple clou un objet d'art, bravo. 🗡

    Comment and upvote to feed the algorithm. I was particularly confused when you cut the crossguards off, only to replace them in a more difficult way, but the result still looked amazing so, eh. I saw that you made it from a concrete nail, do those actually have enough carbon content to harden?

    • @sholoush
      @sholoush  Месяц назад +2

      Yes, they were replaced because it was more difficult to get the spherical shape in that case, it would damage the beauty of the work
      And the next point, yes, carbon steel nails have enough

      Hace 20 años que me dedico al tradicionalismo criollo y a coleccionar cuchillería y platería criolla Argentina, son pieza de alta calidad, nobleza, tradición y mucho expertise. Tengo todo tipo de filos desde aceros damascos, hachas y cuchillas suecas, algunas de ellas cuentan con 100 años aprox. Alguna espada inglesa de finales del siglo XVIII y también puntas de flechas de piedra y piedras de arroje para la caza de animales, aquí llamadas “boleadoras"… todo esto último es milenario. En fin, te felicito por tu arte. Saludos.
