Your Sunday morning posts are great !! Has become a tradition for me to watch first thing on Sunday. Love the projects and your voice and delivery are very relaxing.. Thank You Darren..
Sunday lunchtime in England for me
I have so enjoyed this series on the bobcat ! Im a63 plus automotive gear head . im a retired Volvo parts manager . I started at the bottom of the sweeping floors and toilet cleaner . I have done every position except as a service adviser or car sales ! I so have worked with some incredible mechanics and machinsts plus a bunch if body repair men . I truley enjoy watching a man that can make things and make them work ! Thanks for this fabulous video so far . I have been following you for about two years ! Thanks for the dedication ! An appreciated subscriber ! God Bless you work sir !
Let’s go always a good Sunday when Mustie uploads a video. Keep them coming!!
Needs some tic Tok. Shorts tooo!!!
Whew a hour ep demands an ontermission. Do we can bathroom break
This is like Sunday morning Mustie1 TV. Something many don't like or want to miss. Better than sweeping the yard and surly better than listening the the neighbour complaining over the fence or some strange bloody dog digging in the garden.
I could happily spend a month just picking through and looking at your near infinite stash!!!
Thanks for sharing 🇨🇦
Can always tell when Mustie has his coffee!! He gets going!!
That old ford looks beautiful! Fantastic work
It's coming along nicely. Should be ready for the winter😂. Sunday afternoon relaxation is watching Mustie Wrenching.
Hi from the far South East of Europe. Proper build videos are always my favourite content on Mustie's channel. You just know that in years gone by he would have just cut a radiator sized hole in that back door and mounted the cut out panel on 2 inch stand-off brackets on the door. Job done in a fraction of the time and much less faffing :-)
Good morning, Mustie fans. Watching from Guelph, Ontario. Have a great day.
Good morning from Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Cheers from Montreal, Guelph, I can t help but think of Beaver power tools anytime i hear something about Guelph, my little wood shop is basically a Beaver lodge, if i spot a Beaver tool somewhere, i can not help but bring it home.
Good morning from Charlotte North Carolina
Good evening from Jakarta Indonesia, almost bedtime in here :D
Chiming in from just down HWY 6 in Hamilton.
Good morning everyone, watching this from Texas and Mustie and Sunday mornings are a tradition here. Awesome video
Watching from Mission Texas as well 🙂

Gidday 🙂@@bukka6697
South Carolina is in the house as well. A little later than usual due to me beginning yard work but, I'm here now!!!
Mustie the ultimate engine modifier, your imagination and innovation is remarkable.
Good afternoon to everyone watching from Lincolnshire UK 🇬🇧
Good afternoon, from Finland✌🏻
Good morning from Canada.
Me to Boston Lincolnshire UK
Just down the road near Norwich 🇬🇧
Hello from South Central Pennsylvania, East Coast United States 🇺🇸. Glad to be in the Company of You Fine Folk’s
Morning Mustie 1, just a suggestion, take the door of cut slots in it for more air flow remount hinges on opposite side , mount rad to door with flexible hoses, rad will move with door gaining more access to engine, mount fan to door/ rad to blow outward so heat is not blowing towards cab.Gord Ontario Canada
I think that's how it's done on Gehl skid steer...
I was going to write this too. Not sure if it was Gehl, but have seen it mounted to the door in another model too. You do need longer flex pipes to allow it to swing.
Since you didn’t get everything finished it gives us joy knowing we get to watch another video next Sunday. I hope it’s a longer video. 👍🏻
Love wandering the pipe graveyard. Whatever you're looking for, close enough is always there.
It is coming along great! I didn't realize how difficult skid steers are to work on! Great job Darren!
And the one he has is an easy one.
@@flick22601 😮
I would caution mounting the fan directly to the radiator. Those type of mounts with the zip ties will wear through the aluminum tubes in the radiator. Especially in a machine that bounces around like that. I have had it happen to me.
Good comment , food for thought.👍😏
Your videos can never be long enough. Thanks Mustie1
Title suggestion: Full Metal Bracket! Great job / vid Mustie!
See what you did there. 😏👍🇬🇧
I build semiconductor fabrication equipment for a living till retirement. And in that was alot of blind feel only operations. I always found it easier to do feel only work with my eyes closed. It instantly focus's you to a slightly higher degree of feel, and made those operations a little easier. An old vacuum engineer taught me that.
Viewing from the Great Smokey Mountains of Tennessee. Sir, you are a true master of Hillbilly Engineering.❤
Thanks for sharing your skidder project l love watching you have done a wonderful job giving the gal a new engine. I have a mustang 930a skidder love running it. You will be so happy with your skidder they are so handy. You have a special talent for this kind of work. Keep sending more videos. Thank You for sharing GOD BLESS.
Lmao "because I'm a professional" You're one liners crack me up 😂😂😂
God was glad to see this video am having a bad day and u make me smile every time its like wete all friends wirking in the garage having fun keep it up and great camera work brothere
Sunday morning tradition, watch Mustie while drinking coffee out of my vw bus mug. Cheers from central Maine just a few miles north east of Mustie. BTW nothing "pissed out" of anywhere today 🤣
The stash hunts are great fun. Love the creative solutions.
Luv the surpluses peeps call junk. VG. EMERGY SUPPLY
I always love the videos where Mustie channels his inner "Dr. Frankenstien" on a project.
Thanks for keeping my motivation alive Mustie! 😉
I think you need to put a some what sturdy net on the inside of the door, otherwise branches and stuff like that, might poke a hole in the radiator trough those went holes.. Love the long videos! 👌👌
Good morning, best feeling finding a new video on a Sunday from Mustie, really enjoy the long format videos with these bigger projects. Thank you very much for all the knowledge you have shared over the years, I have learnt most of my mechanical/electrical skills from this channel. Mustie1 for the win 😊
That Fan motor FOR SURE needs to have a relay feeding it, it draws way too much power to be straight to a key or toggle switch..........
Love this! I’m sure many others think about this: how do you remember all the bazillion little ( and big) parts, tools, chems, etc. where they are and what you have. Not to mention the incredible knowledge of how so many things work. “I wanted one of these bikes growing up. Here is how the shifting mechanisms works…”. Amazing. Keep it up my brother from another mother. 😅
Its looking great Mustie1 👍 radiator placement is looking good 👍
Good day Mustie 1 from Flin Flon Manitoba Canada , Always enjoy your videos watching you work on machines , jerry rigging to fit. always look forward to watching these longer videos. Showing step by step how you go from nothing to something.
Turned 77 today. Skipped church and watching “da man” do his magic.
Mustie and coffee on a Sunday looking out at the Rockies. Life doesn't get much better.
Mustie, why don’t you put the fan on the other side of the radiator. That way the fan can be drawing out the hot air. Plus you could make a hinge bracket so you can turn the radiator out the way when you come to service it.
Watching from Devon 🇬🇧.
I agree the fan would be better on the other side!!
The flow has to be right though, and the radiator is already as close in as it can go. Perhaps the fan blade can be flipped on the shaft to get it to blow the other way. As is, the fan is using room that would be wasted and it has to blow through the radiator. Putting the fan on the outside means that it has to suck air through the radiator and there may not be enough clearance for the door. What is best, suck or blow?
@@bruceknowling415 I have that same fan on a project car. The fan can be removed, flipped around, then run in reverse polarity to achieve good air flow in the desired direction
@@bradensmith888 Which is best, push or pull through the radiator?
@@bruceknowling415 I believe pushing air is slightly more effective, but I don't have evidence or sources to back that up
Your best series yet, love your work man! Can't wait to see this one rolling.
Everyone one who has one of these says they now can’t live without it.
Do you think its possible to get a used one in the US- OK shape, everything working, diesel, not cosmeticly nice but acceptable looking- for under 10k?
@@giggiddy I live in Florida so here the answer is no!
I’ve got a 70’s OMC Mustang that I bought as a basket case and got going again. Between the bucket and the forks I built for it, I’m always using it for something around here. Even my wife has used it. One of the best acquisitions I’ve ever made!
There is a "history of Bobcat" video on you tube.
Two brothers in 1940s make the first snow blowers then a machine to clean out turkey waste from barns which became the Bobcat .
I had several 763 s Deutz and Kubota powered.
My last was a S175 Ingersoll Rand 2006 before they sold to Doosan Devlon .
They now are plagued with high tech issues terrible quality unlike the old ones .
Kubota kinda took over Excellent quality.
Bobcrap now .
PS most newer 763 have radiator above engine horizontal with hydraulic driven fan . Perhaps this would be easier ( using electric fan ).
Another great one ! Those bobcats are a blast to run and handy as can be . Nice find !!
Big fan of the bobcat project, I learned quite a lot on this one.
I would angle the exhaust elbow downward as much as you can to eliminate any chance of water running up toward the muffler.
I'd vote for using some C-channel around the door frame to shim/bump it out. And then as another poster said, flip the hinges and then mount the radiator in the door.. assuming there is a way to let the radiator hose bend/flex/move when the door opens.
Also, air intake up top. It will get cooler air and leave you lots of room to work on the engine.
Thanks for sharing the videos!!!
You are now a tradition. Sunday morning, in the garage with my latest project, coffee and Mustie!
Good Morning, Its great watching this project come together. A few things though, the hydraulic oil cooler will need some active cooling or repositioned to the radiator. The cooler is undersized for passive cooling. On a stock machine, there is a giant flywheel with fins and duct work that blows a lot of air through the cooler and radiator about 4 to 5x what a electric fan can do. The engine coolant temp should be fne. also, the muffler might a bit too high. when you lift up the cab it will rest on the muffler and the cab weighs a ton.
2 cups of coffee and a new episode of Mustie1 Darren figuring how to build up a skid stear to working condition is best way to spend a couple of hours on a Sunday afternoon.
He ingenuity is frigging astounding.
Darren could teach a university level class on pack rating.
I love his long episodes.
To many channels keep them to a half hour.
A idea also mustie when you cut those holes out for the radiator. You might want to put a wire mesh to protect the radiator from something that might get through those new open areas so it doesn't puncture the new radiator. Like a screen. Just a thought.. I know you're not on that yet. But that cover was solid for a reason...
I have been screaming at you to look at mounting the radiator to the swinging door. Nice engine access at the price of longer hoses and some complexity with the plumbing. Worth a think? Thanks for the entertainment, Darren.
Bless you mustie for making my weekend worthwhile!
Fabricating is definitely fun to watch 👍
that puppy deserves a NEW seat!
Good Morning from Alberta CA
You save a ton of cash on fixing this one, opposed to buying one running. That's why I'm a subscriber.
Even on vacation I'm waking up early to find a quiet nook somewhere away from the world to watch some Mustie1...Thank you Darren !!
You might want to consider putting a cooling fan on the hydraulic cooling fins as well !!! 😊😊😊
Good to See You @Mustie1 , You are the OG to Lay the Track for Many other Channel’s on the RUclips & a Staple of My Sunday Morning, God Bless You & all Who have Taken the Time to Read this, May the Good Lord Lay Blessing unto You as Well.
Love your ingenuity to get things to fit in
Hi D. Another great video!! Great progress! Really looking forward to seeing you drive this around. The radiator turned out great! Always love how you can make everything come together!!! Hope you have a great week!!Darren.
Just as an FYI, a lot of those cheap fans have blade sets that you can unbolt and turn over so they can be ran in either in a pushing or a pulling direction.
do what??? all you have to do is reverse polarity.
@@steveww07 Yes but then the fan blades aren’t oriented in a way that is very efficient. If you flip the blade set to go in the direction that the fan is spinning you get much better airflow.
I thought about Ivan Drago when you were messing with that throttle cable. "If he dies, he dies." LOL.
Sunday morning. Good lie-in, fantastic breakfast, superb Mustie1 video.
Life is good!
Couldn’t stop laughing when he was measuring the dimensions for height clearance from exhaust manifold to top of frame:
“16 and some change …. (tape measure retracts) … Let’s just call it a FAT 16, oh I wish!” 😂
Use rubber isolators to prevent rad welds from cracking off from vibration
Yup those side mounts will flex vibrate and crack. Take some radial sidewall and sandwich the rad and support😊😊
Looks like everything will fit and work, nice work Darren…
Mustie has the ultimate stash pile for projects. I am so jealous!!
If you’re making brackets anyway to fit the rad. Why not cut the tapper out of the door and square it off to give you lots of room for the rad. Cheers from 🇨🇦
Outstanding this machine is looking awesome it's going to be a work horse when you get done thank you for sharing this six stars brother
Yep, that go to stash, always saves you from parting with your cash, great video as always.👍😏🇬🇧
Hello from the Philippines. Enjoyed the wrenching.
Well done look forward to seeing it finished
Excellent video Mustie 1 :) also doing well on Bobcat tractor Desiel motor fix up and looks super too 👍 so far !
Nice custom work mustie. Enjoyed your methods.
You might want to add a fire extinguisher to your list. 😁
A Mustie video while eating breakfast on a Sunday morning. The perfect combination! Keep going man!🤓

This is very enjoyable can't wait till next week
Love this project. Even after its running, I hope you do more videos on the accessories (buckets, claws, forks, etc) that you want to make!
Sunday treat..always looking forward to it!

I love the Mad scientist in you mustie!!!!! The skills kill. So Good!
"tired of waiting" LOL which is why you are successful.
Awesome build. But I'm going to be honest, when we all felt that cooling fan, I almost lost my hat 😂
Enjoyed following along bro. Safe travels. Ken.
Coming together nicely.
Good evening in Australia, 10:02pm 😢
I could binge watch Mustie1 all day love it.
Awesome job.. love watching your videos.. I learn alot.. thanks
Appreciate all your videos.
Looking forward to the next episode. Thank you for sharing.
Wow thats tight hope it works for you. Enjoy your vids. Thank you for sharing.
For your radiator hose coupling...
Turn a pipe into a hose barb by running a weld bead around the outside. Even just a few bumps will go a long way towards keeping the clamped hose from being forced off.
27:20 a spark just went in my cheers mate😆
That's coming along nicely.
Fun project! My thoughts on the fan are to place it on a bracket so it swings and mount the fan on the opposite side. I think the air intake/filter should be on top to draw cooler air and make servicing easier. This is an awesome revival as most of these get scrapped when this reach this state.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️🔧✌🏻
There is a fan mounting diagram on driftshop (universal electric fan mounting kit), if that helps. The foam pads, springs and tiewrap clips go on the other side of the radiator to the fan, I'm not sure how sturdy that would be.
Really enjoying this build. Thank you!
