Oh yes. Mine too, ever since I heard "The Dream". For example, i'm a huge "stan" but Greydon actually tops Eminem on my list on a certain level, absolutely. It's really a shame people are not interested in this kind of thoughtful (rap) music.

Peace. I'm late Fam but I was watching your interview 8 years ago and black Atheism. I'm not quite there. I believe there was a Divine consciousness but it's definitely not a book and doesn't have petty human emotions or a gender. I'm free from Religion and I feel better about myself and my life. Meditation has helped heal me from my pain. At the end of the day we have to take accountability for our actions and not depend on religion.
Still one of my favourite songs of all time. I have to come back and listen to it every year or so every time I catch myself saying the lyrics. These words are permanently engrained in my mind they are so iconic and will last with me for the rest of my life. Truly a beautiful work of art that this song even exists. I'll never stop listening.

The unfortunate part to this is people still have a stigma when it comes to the term atheist. Even people who are off the charts wild still profess a god or jesus. That is the problem when you come out and say there has been no valid evidence presented that any Gods exist. People like to believe there is a god regardless of what that god may be and disagree and still pushback too much to people that don't have any evidence for one. I used to be a street preacher for years and have become an atheist the last few years and see the same issue on the opposite side now.

Excellent! Here you get a glimpse of Grey's musical evolution. Look at his earlier work and you'll find an emphasis on critical thinking aimed at religion. Although that part of him probably isn't gone (and why should it be gone?), the creation of scientifically literate music is apparent in this piece. There are no words for how good these lyrics are. So goddamn underrated. There's even a video of Neil DeGrasse Tyson rating 'scientific' rap lyrics and this isn't even in it...
That's because people are conditioned to not offer different alternatives to the movers and shakers of this space. So many times the conversation of "science rap" comes up and I'm not even mentioned. Makes you wonder if it's by design.

It’s crazy that I’m only now discovering how dope your music is, I’ve spent years with immortal technique and canibus thinking “I wish there was more lyricists like this” and somehow those “fans of this also liked” suggestions are missing Greydon Square… Even Canibus on Spotify doesn’t show for me, when you guys did a son together! It’s the graphDB powering those suggestions that’s not bridging that gap.
I’m gonna start adding Greydon Square to a lot of my playlists with similar stuff, but honestly it’s a tricky spot. You’re kinda the top of your own sub-genre.
