I’ve just bought this plane on Xbox series X. It’s ideal for low and slow flights. Bubble cockpit, openable canopy, steam gauges, tricycle undercarriage, good modelling and easy to fly. After trying most of the default aircraft, this is the one for me. I use the Aeromacchi jet for low and fast flying. I don’t do airliners, unless I’m going on holiday.

The airliners are fun from an academic curiosity point of view, but I have to agree - hand flying the trainers or the classic aircraft it more fun :)
The Boeing 247D is great fun.

Jonathan, thanks for this video. I recently acquired the Bulldog and have found that, compared with other aircraft I've tried in the sim, I find the ailerons very sensitive but the elevators seem the opposite. So easy to roll but to pull out of a steep descent, very difficult. Would this be a characteristic of this aircraft, my control set-up or just my incompetence?😄 TIA

Re our ongoing chat about XP v MSFS, this Bulldog looks comparable with the MSFS version. If this were flown with Orbx XP UK scenery, would that tick the box for you?

I was enjoying tooling around the Alps in this aircraft, but was bemoaning its lack of a GPS. Thank you so much for pointing out that clicking the oddly incongruous ‘Garmin’ label on the console summons a handheld GPS!
The Got Friends Edgely Optica is also a fantastic sightseeing aircraft, along with the Sting S4 you previously reviewed.
You don’t seem to mention VR in your videos. If you’ve not tried it, I highly recommend flying in VR with the Quest 3. It’s an amazing experience, provided one has a beefy gaming PC & a clean WiFi 6E network.
    Thanks again, much appreciated!

This looks like a great trainer for novice and hight time professionals..
It would be a great full scale pond jumper for all pilots.

That's exactly what it was - a high performance trainer - used for dogfighting practice :)
