I think they're a tad inconsistent, they have really good songs, pretty good songs, ok songs, and then... Ehh... Songs. Some of my favorites are : Wrong side of heaven, Cold, Crossing Over, and Far from home
@Dave Messer I ain't no millennial and this stuff is amazing. Skillet, Disturbed, A7X people tend to enjoy different types of Rock/Metal but as far as what ive heard FFDP is definitely heavier compared to the Megadeth music. I tend to enjoy the heaviness while also being able to understand what the person is saying.
The Singer clearly understood something about the meaning of life that probally 99.99% will never get. Funny fact is that i tried to Search for these answers for about 30 years and understood it about 1 day before the song release. "Is being normal really normal or normal isn't normal?" If you manage to find that answer, it Will change your perception of life. bTw, best fucking intro and single of the decade.
Exactly. It's all perception. "Normality" is determined by the person. Your life growing up was obviously what was normal to you, but if you went to a friend's house for the night and saw how different their life is, it's unusual to you. But normal to them. That's always the analogy I tend to use. Because what really IS "normal?"
Take the red pill, only to black pill that you are one of a handful that know the truth and everyone is too brainwashed and simple to question normalcy
They are one of the most radio friendly metal bands. I don't hate them. They have some decent songs, especially on the first two albums. And radio friendly is not necessary a bad thing.

They've been disappointing me since american capitalist came out. This isnt the real 5FDP. They left us years ago. This is just generic ass "metal" that they are producing to attract a different crowd of people to make more money.
Their music has helped me through my mom dying from stage 4 lung cancer and my girlfriend breaking up with me
@@JWall_InKc and you are just a hater who can go somewhere else and bitch and cry.
SexiMexi Go listen to the way of the fist and listen to what they have done since then. They have absolutely changed for the worst. I LOVED this band. But this isn’t ffdp anymore. This is a band that just wants to make as much money as possible before Ivan decides he’s “ leaving “ again
Got to see the boys live, and damn, what an opening. Ivan’s roar was unforgettable
"I'm not a dog I'm not a slave" hit me hard. The anger in the mere mention of it speaks volumes. Favorite thing to take away from the gem of a song
They have gone heavy again, keep this up guys, this is the band I know and love
What exactly is heavy about this?
Yea because god forbid they have versatility in their music 🙄
@@DJKaleDGZX It just sounds heavier than anything from their last couple of albums, they are heading back to their roots, it's more heavy metal as an alternative to hard rock as they have been in more recent years
@@DJKaleDGZX elitist sounds Heavy Metal to I Love it
You again
This song helped me through a problem with a girl I loved that just left me and I thought we were amazing, but she just left me with no words just leaving me with no explanation. This came in the right time in the right place at a sad time for me. Thank you Five Finger Death Punch for really making music that Express how I feel In my darkest moments knowing that I'm not alone.
Yep same here. Honestly has helped me with a LOT in a very short while. Moody Always has something good to say and the orgiers in the band always nail the instrumentals
Yep it is a good love song.
The same thing happened with me almost a month ago, the girl I really loved left me without a real explanation, and everything was perfect, until she left me for another guy. Listening to this song has helped me get through this tough breakup.
I have 100% same situation as you guys. I’m still hurt, but this music always helps
I feel you. I know how that feels
This song has single handedly saved my life. I still struggle day to day trying to make ends meet but there is finally a song that describes how I feel inside. The mental issues are real.
For everyone that is mad about the intro not being in the download, the intro is the first song "F8" (1:15) on the album.
Billy Marshall tbh having intros separate from the song on the album sucks ass. I mean how are we supposed to put it into a playlist and shuffle?
PrestigeNova bands just didnt adjust to everything being digital now
Man that intro fits perfectly for this song people are always gonna hate. Ffdp doesn't get weaker they get stronger and better.
@@Jonzy420 That is a great point, it would be great if there was a way to combine them.
People are mad? 🤣 People are stupid more like
F8 has chosen us all! Rise, 5FDP fans!
Totally on it 🤟😎🤟
Why is this version not on spotify?
I enjoy the song, but the beginning instrumental is so amazing.
The intro it's amazing, I hope to hear soon this version on Spotify .
I know. It pissed me off.
I wish it was too man
I think the intro is a song as well
Michael Brown I totally agree I was looking for someone to make this comment 🤣🤣😝🤘🏻
ive only just found FFDP through a recommendation from a friend. love them
Now this is what I call a Christmas song!
Lol.
Your so right 🤣🤣 unnamed you rock 🤬👍
The whole song is great but that intro is INCREDIBLE!
Sad it isn't in the digital release.
I already know this album will be better than the last one.
Their last album was kind of weak IMO.
They had to make it to get out of their contract. So they half assed it
the dude u talking about the last album
Yeah, I didn't care for their last record
Tbh
Anything is better than their last 3 lol
This band is just insanely good and incredibly constant and steady!!! God freaking bless them!! LONG live 5FDP
The hype this song is setting this is going to be an amazing album
This gives me older album vibes,,, I love absolutely everything that these guys have done, yet their heavier roots always hit me deep. 5fdp never fail to amaze me 🤘🏻❤️
yes old album vibes + new music genre orchestra metal is getting bigger in the US.
Good to hear I'm not alone in hearing some of their old style back. Hope they stay on that track because in all honesty their older albums have just always been, slightly that is, better

Not gonna lie, this has a badass intro
This band and Ivan's voice and emotion in the lyrics have driven me forward out of depression and has always gave me a drive to just push past anything and accomplish! I'm so grateful for them in a way that no one can truly understand, this band put everything into thier music and it inspires me in my dreams everytime I listen to them.

The rage i feel listening to this is crazy
Ok that's evolution in the right direction 🔥🔥🔥
They same,i love it that
I think this is quickly becoming my favorite song of the band currently, such a blast ! Everyone shines bright, brilliant !
Honestly, when I first listened to it last night (maybe this morning?) I was completely opposite and was not a fan. Listening to it this afternoon, it is great!

I will say this since no one else acknowledges it. Great job on your sobriety sir, you have over come your demons and have come a far way. It is a shame drummer Jeremy Spencer is no longer on the team but, we are still happy he pursued a job as great as being with the 5FDP team. We pray he stays safe. I also pray everyone from the band and the 5FDP community are staying safe during the crisis that's going on currently. We hope it ends soon. I can't wait to see you second year at Red Rocks Amphitheater as I enjoyed it when you were able to go there for the first time. ROCK ON KNUCKLE HEADS, SEE YOU THERE!

The song literally gives me chills every time I listen to it. The intro is an incredible shit
Punkfuk best part of the song imo. Didn’t even know it existed till I looked it up from Spotify
@Punkfuk it's the F8 track on the album so
Bruh, it’s been out 20 hours. Chill your boner.
What constitutes a incredible shit vs. a regular shit? You really started a shitty conversation about a phenomenal song.

I thought it was gonna be sentimental hearing the violins but I love the twist it makes.
Right... I liked the twist too!
Its a cello
Its cello buts theres also subtle plucking in the background which could be a violin but most likely cello

Only the insane have strength enough to prosper; only those that prosper may judge what is truly sane.
There's no normal. There's only your experience and your perception
