For me this song is from two different angles. One is a girl who loves perfection and order. She lives in the light and is almost like an angel. The second angle is the boy. He is the total opposite of the girl and yet I think that they are both infatuated with each other, despite being polar opposites.
My interpretation is that imperfection is seen as bad all the time, but it doesn't matter if it's imperfect or perfect, both can be harmful and you don't know which of the two is the truth if the two in the end are so similar despite being opposites, hence the desire to question. Only perfection can be a prison and only imperfection can be degrading, both extremists, they are both blind In just one pole and do nothing to balance it, don't question
