I love Disturbed for the message that they try to convey through their music. It sounds violent but the message it carries is full of peace. Wonderful band!
There are few bands that still remain relevant and manage to put out amazing music. I'm 46 and Disturbed has been my favorite band since I heard Down With the Sickness! You guys manage to keep your sound, amazing tone yet throw in new sounds. The timing & message are aligned perfectly 🥰
This song is about getting rid of the complacency in your life, the thing that keeps you under water. The thing that you know is bad for you but you do it anyway cause it's easy and convient. There is something so hauntingly beautiful about the screenshot of this comment string. It makes me feel stripped down to that most vulnerable part of myself that I fear the most and cannot escape from, the truth. I cower here in my complacency, too stubborn to give up and too scared to crawl out and fight my demons. I got lost in this gray void in between where I'm wasting away my life trying to hide in a haze of smoke.

Have to say, I was so pumped when the new album dropped. But I have to say thank you to entire band as well, you guys taught me to look in to the face of my monster and harness it. Your music taught me inner strength. Made me a soldier. I honestly think you guys are one of the most ernest bands we've had in a long time. Can't wait to see how much more successful you'll become. There is plenty of good music out there in all genres you just have to look and quit copying what people are saying and dont be a sheep…branch out hell look at my playlists me and my wife have created several lists that have everything on them

Over 20 years and still going, still remember watching them at the small venues like the Roseland in Portland Oregon... Love how they still keep the same energy with all their original stuff as well as their amazing covers.
@Omar Yañez Zavala Saw them at the fox theater in Detroit when 10,000 fists was out. They have that extra element live that they never pick up recording on the album. If you haven't saw them live I suggest to check them out at least one.
First Ozzfest I went to at SPAC there was this new Band performing on a side stage aka the lawn. They played three songs for anyone there early enough to catch them. Voices, down with the sickness and stupified! That’s when it all started for me. They hadn’t even released their first album yet.
Saw them in concert last night. They opened with this song and absolutely killed the entire show. Blossom Music Center has never been more packed in my years of going there …
I saw them Tuesday in St. Louis and they opened with the same song. Awesome presentation and great show all together. Did they have the fire going for yours too?

They met with fire marshals hours before going on trying to figure out a way they could do it even to a small degree but no agreement could be made. He was pissed about it and voiced his displeasure, but I guess the acoustical shell that surrounds the stage just wouldn’t allow for it

I don't understand people that don't like Disturbed. This band is still kicking ass, they are one of those bands that has the perfect formula, good music to get motivated.
My best guess would be that how early in there career they were in a sea of 'angry metal' bands that all had a kinda similar sound. But they've very much refined their style over the years, finding the right balance between anger and message.
Some people just get bored listening to the same old thing honestly. I heard this song for the first time today and it sounds more or less the same as their music from years ago. That's extremely boring to me

I remember being 13 years old listening to the indestructible album in that time I used to get bullied about my weight so I would workout to disturbed for hours. 12 years later I am 25 in the best shape of my life it feels like they came back in a more evolved version of myself. Got on board with the Believe album, went back and got into Sickness, and have loved everything since. I've seen them at LEAST over a dozen times. They are easily my favorite Rock/Metal band. Oh, and I'm 49. Not all of us Gen X peeps are stuck in the 80's (though being a musician, I love all kinds of music)

My grandpa’s funeral was a couple Fridays ago, and I was really feeling low after it was over. I got home, sat down, checked my phone, and Disturbed had just announced that new music was coming very soon. The timing couldn’t have been better to cheer me up.
I remember when my sisters boyfriend at the time when I was just a teenager, gave me their first album The sickness and ever since they have been one of my go-to bands 11 years later, they got me thorugh some hard times. So glad they are still sticking to their style of metal today, please never change! ROCK ON!

I have taken my 67 year old mother to 2 separate Disturbed concerts since they started again because she has been listening to them with me since they started when I was in high school. :) age doesn't stop you from enjoying amazing music!

frankly,, i never cared about Disturbed,,band ,until I Actually listening to them one day, a couple of years ago,,WOW, lol,,It’s amazing how talented these men are and I fell in love with them..
I myself think like that of most bands, until at least one song gets me hooked. If they do that, i start hearing other songs and determine if they are good. I knew disturbed because of down with the sickness, then I listened to indestructible, and that was it. Got hooked. Amazing guys and very good music.
I'm getting an Immortalized vibe from this, but there's little bits in the delivery that remind me of Evolution. I suppose that's one of the greatest strengths of Disturbed. Their music evolves, yet remains immediately identifiable. They haven't lost their roots, but aren't held back by them either. All that aside, a very apt track for this day & age.
Hope to get an announcement for a release date of the album and more songs soon. Can't wait to have another Disturbed album to buy. Keep up the good work Disturbed.
It really does and honestly I waited and waited and heard the rumor that Disturbed was getting back together back in 2015 I kept telling everybody at work how excited I was and everything and then good morning I woke up and I got a notification from Apple music at the time saying disturb has released a new single I wake up every morning usually the drive hour and a half 2 hours to where I work as American firefighter I downloaded it while I was taking a shower and I hit the truck and I probably played it at least seven times on my way to work that morning it also kind of feels and hits the same because that was the first song they came out with when they had got back together or at least released this song has that same feel sort of because I wasn't a huge fan of Evolution at first. It took a while for it to grow on me at first I wanted to throw it away so this is the first song that I'm getting after Evolution and it gives me that same feeling that I got when I heard them for the first time back together. Disturbed is back motherfuckers... And with a message.

22 years ago when I first heard David sing "OH AH AH AH AH" I was hooked and knew they were destined for greatness. My friends didn't think they were going to be that popular and man does it feel good to know that I was right. Disturbed is one of the greatest bands in my lifetime.

Wow. The first thing that I feel must be acknowledged first is that David's vocals sound absolutely excellent. The fact is, David has been one of heavy music's most consistent, identifiable, and diverse front men for a long time now. Another thing that stands out to me is that the band as a whole sounds really good. I know alot of people didn't care for their last album. Personally I didn't think it was nearly as bad as alot of people said it was, but this song sounds like a return to form. It sounds like a mix of The Sickness, Ten Thousand Fists, and Asylum.

This band is a forever favorite of mine. As well as just the idea I highly respect. To get up on here and be upset about things, but to not be an upset person. What really makes them upset is to see us let ourselves down. Much like myself I don't get mad at what people do just the way they think.
This new track just sounds like old Disturbed, like old old and Im so excited for the new album is this is what we are getting. Dave's still got it through and through.
@@millermann123 Not true. Remember Darkness & Remember on the Believe album? Both great songs! People weirdly seem to obsess over Down with the Sickness too much & think that's the only album they have.
As a side note, The Sickness is an overrated album. The 1st like 4 tracks are hard & great, yeah, but after that all the tracks on the album were very repetitive & boring, and had almost no meaning to them, & the album had Zero guitar solos or ballads or variety. Meaning of Life, which should've been named Psycho, was good & Dropping Plates was funny sure & their cover of Shout (2000) was good, but other than that meh. But, Disturbed has never been like Death Metal! Which I like about them, they're understandable! And accessible, for anyone wondering about metal/hard rock. I like this song! Awesome verses! & the chorus is growing on me. It deserves more credit. Honestly, Disturbed deserves more credit, and more open-minded fans.

I’ve always been a fan of Disturbed, the sickness is a classic heavy metal album as far as I’m concerned! The past 5-6 years, since releasing a perfect cover of the sound of silence, (might even be better than the original) they really have been a tour de force. This song is brutal, really heavy riffs, great lyrics, it has built my hopes up, can’t wait to hear more from Disturbed in the near future.
@@codenamescarletfox I'm a big fan of Disturbed, but I'm also a big fan of classic rock. The original Simon and Garfunkel version of Sound of Silence is one of my most favorite songs. When I heard Disturbed did a cover of it, although I am a big fan, I clinched my teeth and readied myself to be hugely disappointed at what they may have done with it when I first listened to it....... My disappointed though was surprisingly totally blown away with their version. Music taste is very subjective, but I have to disagree with you, because I believe Disturb did indeed improve the song and introduced it to a whole new audience. As for your comment about it being "over produced" and the use of autotune.... You obviously haven't seen them do it live. Disturbed is all right man.. but if you want to hear a real cover of sound of silence check out boba flex... If you want to hear a good cover of "hey you" by PF, check out bobaflex.. it's sad when bands have to rely on covers because they have no originality of their own the sickness was their best album and they will never top it. When bands like bad wolf and five finger death Punch or the norm I'll get out my 33 RPM and listen to real music. Jmo.

My opinion.......instrumentally, it's sounds exactly like Disturbed. Lyrically, it's not up to par with songs they've written before. It sounds a bit repetitious BUT it is their first single in several years so I wouldn't expect it to be perfect

Even their music that some have claimed wasasell out, like The Light and Reason to Fight are awesome!! Plus, David has said in numerous interviews that those songs about addressing societal issues that important to them and the biggest thing for them is being to like what they see when they look in the mirror!! This song is further proof!! I love the fact that are old school in making videos because they really bring the message of the songs alive!!!

It's been over 20 yrs since I first saw Disturbed at a bar called Champs on the Southside of Chicago. I was blown away. I knew that night they were gonna make it big. Champs became their "home bar" to play at. All of us that hung out there went to every show they played at all over the Chicago music circuit. They even included a shot of us in their "Liberate" video. They far and away exceeded even my grandiose expectations. They have become "Icons" to tell you the truth.
Enjoyed your story. I worked at the Cracker barrel in Tinley Park for many years as a server. I got to serve Danny and his wife and kids when they were little ❤️. I love Disturbed
Well this song has officially grown on me and when I first here a song and don’t like it, I never like it but Disturbed, as always has come through. As my favorite band and in my opinion the greatest band there is; they never disappoint. I love the feel of this song and so happy they are back.
I thought the same till the piercings came out and that last album dropped. But I do like this new song, I'm not raging over it like the older stuff but its a push toward improvement.
Underrated af. Them and Nickelback. 100% of the people who say they suck have NEVER listened to the albums "Ten Thousand Fists", all the way through, or "All the Right Reasons". Anybody who says either sucks, is a liar determined not to change their opinion.

Such a good band but I can never really pinpoint what it is about them that keeps me hooked. Riffage? Songwriting? Groove? It's a weird thing but I just dig them. And they are always on play for workouts.
IMHO, it's Draiman's voice. There's absolutely NOTHING else like it in music. It's so god damn powerful and the band does dilute that, it amplifys it!!
It's called having an entire band of massively talented musicians and songwriters working together to create masterpieces. I don't think that there are many bands out there that have the amount of appeal and chemistry that these guys do. It changes it from a job to a passion, which reflects within their product and to their fans.

This isn't their roots. It's closer but not even close to sickness or believe. This still have that 'industrial' sound that started with indestructible/asylum.
This song is great because to me it seems they've combined songwriting elements from their whole career. The song kicks in and it reminds me of something from the Sickness or believe with the dark aggressive riffs/ electronic elements and filters. Then the chorus kicks in and they change up to that anthemic vibe that they've taken on other records, keepin it fresh. Good message too!
@@aabxs so as you suggest eberyone has an opinion you then state the "truth" disturbed is extremely distanced from normalcy in their genre. There were only a few bands with some similar qualities who survived the early 2000's. Disturbed speaks on real struggles and does it in a methodical way with davids unique vocals following the drum patterns.
I've been bingeing Rammstein's music since I caught wind of their latest album Zeit. Angst has to be my favourite song this year so far, and it's funny to see this song also touch on the same themes. I'm really liking this sound for Disturbed, so I hope there's more of this on their new album.

Disturbed has been one of my favorites since childhood but I think its safe to say they tripped with "Evolution". Thankfully this single is sounding less like that.

@Omar Yañez Zavala Saw them at the fox theater in Detroit when 10,000 fists was out. They have that extra element live that they never pick up recording on the album. If you haven't saw them live I suggest to check them out at least one.
First Ozzfest I went to at SPAC there was this new Band performing on a side stage aka the lawn. They played three songs for anyone there early enough to catch them. Voices, down with the sickness and stupified! That’s when it all started for me. They hadn’t even released their first album yet.
Saw them in concert last night. They opened with this song and absolutely killed the entire show. Blossom Music Center has never been more packed in my years of going there …
I saw them Tuesday in St. Louis and they opened with the same song. Awesome presentation and great show all together. Did they have the fire going for yours too?

They met with fire marshals hours before going on trying to figure out a way they could do it even to a small degree but no agreement could be made. He was pissed about it and voiced his displeasure, but I guess the acoustical shell that surrounds the stage just wouldn’t allow for it

My best guess would be that how early in there career they were in a sea of 'angry metal' bands that all had a kinda similar sound. But they've very much refined their style over the years, finding the right balance between anger and message.
Some people just get bored listening to the same old thing honestly. I heard this song for the first time today and it sounds more or less the same as their music from years ago. That's extremely boring to me

My grandpa’s funeral was a couple Fridays ago, and I was really feeling low after it was over. I got home, sat down, checked my phone, and Disturbed had just announced that new music was coming very soon. The timing couldn’t have been better to cheer me up.

I remember when my sisters boyfriend at the time when I was just a teenager, gave me their first album The sickness and ever since they have been one of my go-to bands 11 years later, they got me thorugh some hard times. I myself think like that of most bands, until at least one song gets me hooked. If they do that, i start hearing other songs and determine if they are good. I knew disturbed because of down with the sickness, then I listened to indestructible, and that was it. Got hooked. Amazing guys and very good music.

I'm getting an Immortalized vibe from this, but there's little bits in the delivery that remind me of Evolution. I suppose that's one of the greatest strengths of Disturbed. Their music evolves, yet remains immediately identifiable. They haven't lost their roots, but aren't held back by them either.
All that aside, a very apt track for this day & age.

It really does and honestly I waited and waited and heard the rumor that Disturbed was getting back together back in 2015 I kept telling everybody at work how excited I was and everything and then good morning I woke up and I got a notification from Apple music at the time saying disturb has released a new single I wake up every morning usually the drive hour and a half 2 hours to where I work as American firefighter I downloaded it while I was taking a shower and I hit the truck and I probably played it at least seven times on my way to work that morning it also kind of feels and hits the same because that was the first song they came out with when they had got back together or at least released this song has that same feel sort of because I wasn't a huge fan of Evolution at first. It took a while for it to grow on me at first I wanted to throw it away so this is the first song that I'm getting after Evolution and it gives me that same feeling that I got when I heard them for the first time back together. Disturbed is back motherfuckers... And with a message.

The fact is, David has been one of heavy music's most consistent, identifiable, and diverse front men for a long time now. Another thing that stands out to me is that the band as a whole sounds really good. I know alot of people didn't care for their last album. Personally I didn't think it was nearly as bad as alot of people said it was, but this song sounds like a return to form. It sounds like a mix of The Sickness, Ten Thousand Fists, and Asylum.

This band is a forever favorite of mine. As well as just the idea I highly respect. To get up on here and be upset about things, but to not be an upset person. What really makes them upset is to see us let ourselves down. Much like myself I don't get mad at what people do just the way they think.

As a side note, The Sickness is an overrated album. The 1st like 4 tracks are hard & great, yeah, but after that all the tracks on the album were very repetitive & boring, and had almost no meaning to them, & the album had Zero guitar solos or ballads or variety. Meaning of Life, which should've been named Psycho, was good & Dropping Plates was funny sure & their cover of Shout (2000) was good, but other than that meh. But, Disturbed has never been like Death Metal! Which I like about them, they're understandable! And accessible, for anyone wondering about metal/hard rock. I like this song! Awesome verses! & the chorus is growing on me. It deserves more credit. Honestly, Disturbed deserves more credit, and more open-minded fans.

I’ve always been a fan of Disturbed, the sickness is a classic heavy metal album as far as I’m concerned! The past 5-6 years, since releasing a perfect cover of the sound of silence, (might even be better than the original) they really have been a tour de force. This song is brutal, really heavy riffs, great lyrics, it has built my hopes up, can’t wait to hear more from Disturbed in the near future.
The sound of silence cover IS NOT better from the original and far from perfect. It's overproduced and sounds autotuned.
@@codenamescarletfox I'm a big fan of Disturbed, but I'm also a big fan of classic rock. The original Simon and Garfunkel version of Sound of Silence is one of my most favorite songs. When I heard Disturbed did a cover of it, although I am a big fan, I clinched my teeth and readied myself to be hugely disappointed at what they may have done with it when I first listened to it....... My disappointed though was surprisingly totally blown away with their version.
Music taste is very subjective, but I have to disagree with you, because I believe Disturb did indeed improve the song and introduced it to a whole new audience. As for your comment about it being "over produced" and the use of autotune.... You obviously haven't seen them do it live. If you want to hear a good cover of "hey you" by PF, check out bobaflex.. it's sad when bands have to rely on covers because they have no originality of their own the sickness was their best album and they will never top it. Even their music that some have claimed wasasell out, like The Light and Reason to Fight are awesome!! Plus, David has said in numerous interviews that those songs about addressing societal issues that important to them and the biggest thing for them is being to like what they see when they look in the mirror!! This song is further proof!! I love the fact that are old school in making videos because they really bring the message of the songs alive!!!

It's been over 20 yrs since I first saw Disturbed at a bar called Champs on the Southside of Chicago.
I was blown away. I knew that night they were gonna make it big. Champs became their "home bar" to play at. All of us that hung out there went to every show they played at all over the Chicago music circuit. They even included a shot of us in their "Liberate" video.
They far and away exceeded even my grandiose expectations. They have become "Icons" to tell you the truth.

Well this song has officially grown on me and when I first here a song and don’t like it, I never like it but Disturbed, as always has come through. As my favorite band and in my opinion the greatest band there is; they never disappoint. I love the feel of this song and so happy they are back.
I thought the same till the piercings came out and that last album dropped. But I do like this new song, I'm not raging over it like the older stuff but its a push toward improvement.

Underrated af. Them and Nickelback. 100% of the people who say they suck have NEVER listened to the albums "Ten Thousand Fists", all the way through, or "All the Right Reasons". Anybody who says either sucks, is a liar determined not to change their opinion.

Such a good band but I can never really pinpoint what it is about them that keeps me hooked. Riffage? Songwriting? Groove? It's a weird thing but I just dig them. And they are always on play for workouts.
IMHO, it's Draiman's voice. There's absolutely NOTHING else like it in music. It's so god damn powerful and the band does dilute that, it amplifys it!!

It's called having an entire band of massively talented musicians and songwriters working together to create masterpieces. I don't think that there are many bands out there that have the amount of appeal and chemistry that these guys do. It changes it from a job to a passion, which reflects within their product and to their fans.

This isn't their roots. It's closer but not even close to sickness or believe. This still have that 'industrial' sound that started with indestructible/asylum.
This song is great because to me it seems they've combined songwriting elements from their whole career. The song kicks in and it reminds me of something from the Sickness or believe with the dark aggressive riffs/ electronic elements and filters. Then the chorus kicks in and they change up to that anthemic vibe that they've taken on other records, keepin it fresh. Good message too!

@@aabxs so as you suggest eberyone has an opinion you then state the "truth" disturbed is extremely distanced from normalcy in their genre. There were only a few bands with some similar qualities who survived the early 2000's. Disturbed speaks on real struggles and does it in a methodical way with davids unique vocals following the drum patterns.
