I can see why many hate them now cuz their music is starting to get lighter n lighter with more generic meaning due to them selling out to corporate radio.
@@randomuser684 Although FFDP is among the bands I listen to the most, I must say that with many songs, they sound like angry kids with a lack of imagination with "you're a fucking poser, shut the fuck up, I'll crack your teeth" and stuff like that. Hearing this song just makes me realize how strong I actually was through out my childhood. I was bullied to the brink of suicide but I wasn't beaten down,I wasn't broken I rose (sp?) above all that.

Ive dealt with bullies throughout much of my time in school, but i found this song when i was at my last straw with them, this song me the strength to rise above my tormentors, it taught me not to not give a shit what other people think of me. Hearing this song pretty much kept me alive. It gave me a new mindset and i think the bullies i dealt with could tell. They eventually stopped bothering me when they got the hint that i wasn't dealing with that shit anymore, no violence needed. I just had to become stronger mentally, and this song did that for me.
Hyena, thanks for saying something. There's a lot of young adults that are tormented by insecure pri*ks that have to inflict pain on others to feel worthy. The good news is "IT"S ALL TEMPORARY". Take it from someone who knows...the feeling of revenge later in adulthood is unbelievably satisfying.
A lot of their music does that. Their entire library snaps me out of some kind of funk ive been stuck in. Its just uncanny how much feeling and soul they unleash into everything they do.
This band has helped me push through alot. Served and went overseas in 03, 05. Lol i have never gone to a concert in my life... I feel like i gotta see these guys this year damn near every song hits deep.
This song is telling people to beat down their barriers and to inspire others to do the same, find that motivation that not many can find (my interpretation).
@Harley Quinn I think if you listern close enough, the song recognizes the struggle of each person including those mentally scarred. How could have you heard it 4 moths ago for the first time. I heard this on the day it was released and that got me into the band. It was on every fucking radio station and everyone listened to it at one point
FFDP is amazing. This song has helped me more than words can describe. It may be corny but it fuels my self-confidence due to the things I’ve gone through in my life and I’m just so damn grateful to them for making this song. Thank you, Ivan and everyone else. Seriously. ❤️

LIFT ME UP AND HELP ME TO FLY AWAY! I shudder to think I worked for the bitch for two straight years. Worst, worst time of my life. Your music got me through. Thanks.
I like Five Finger Death Punch. Of all the modern metal bands out there, these guys are cool. People complain they ripped off Pantera or Slayer, Metallica, whatever... You know, at one point they were kids, who grew up listening to those bands, felt inspired to pick up an instrument, learn to sing, write songs, and eventually got good enough to land a contract with a big record company. Same with Pantera and Megadeth and Metallica, they were young once and idolized Black Sabbath and Jimi Hendrix, among others. So before you call them a rip-off, just look at the big picture and shut your self-righteous ass up.
They don't sound like they are ripping of pantera to me.the drums are quite different and bit like Metallica maybe.but they ain't ripping no one off In music you should not envy you should Emulate .they obviously chose the latter.

However, bands like 5fdp, disturbed, avenged sevenfold, artists like godsmack and mik Gordon among others, are my sweet spot. Their frequencies are what I need to keep Going strong in all aspects of my life, having fallen down and risen countless times, when I listen to them, I feel like I can achieve anything my heart and mind desires. I've been a fan of 5FDP for almost half a decade now, how have I JUST heard this song?!
Its new bro
How could have you heard it 4 moths ago for the first time. I heard this on the day it was released and that got me into the band. It was on every fucking radio station and everyone listened to it at one point
This has to be the best solo my ears ever had the blessing to hear.
Holy shit! This song rocks... Best song I've heard in a long goddamn time... AND the metal GOD Rob Halford is on it. Incredible.
i like so much the Rob part /,,/ their voices sound amazing together
FFDP is amazing. This song has helped me more than words can describe. It may be corny but it fuels my self-confidence due to the things I’ve gone through in my life and I’m just so damn grateful to them for making this song. Thank you, Ivan and everyone else. Seriously. ❤️
This got me through a very tense time at my previous job! Used to sing this at full volume on my way to work and back home again! I WON'T BE BROKEN! LIFT ME UP ABOVE THIS! LIFT ME UP AND HELP ME TO FLY AWAY! I shudder to think I worked for the bitch for two straight years. Worst, worst time of my life.
Your music got me through. Thanks.
Let me just say.. This is how a lyric video should be done.
Gunnyboy you are goddamn right
My god, I heard this and I didn't see the title, Halford's voice has a spectacularity unmistakable, such a really good song.
My head heard this...
I can't see, it won't stop head-banging.
Mr Halford will always be my favorite metal singer.
Hooked on priest since 1982

I was there.
My daughter took me - one of the best concerts I've ever seen in my life 🤘🏽
Blown away.
This song is all you need if you are going through a rough time
I like Five Finger Death Punch. Of all the modern metal bands out there, these guys are cool. People complain they ripped off Pantera or Slayer, Metallica, whatever...
You know, at one point they were kids, who grew up listening to those bands, felt inspired to pick up an instrument, learn to sing, write songs, and eventually got good enough to land a contract with a big
record company.
Same with Pantera and Megadeth and Metallica, they were young once and idolized Black Sabbath and Jimi Hendrix, among others. So before you call them a rip-off, just look at the big picture and shut your self-righteous ass up.
How about slipknot
They don't sound like they are ripping of pantera to me.the drums are quite different and bit like Metallica maybe.but they ain't ripping no one off
In music you should not envy you should
Emulate .they obviously chose the latter.
SPac316 you won the internet today.
If the metal god himself considers it good enough metal to lend his voice to it
It's mother fucking metal
Plain and simple
AMEN thank you for saying that!!! Its all good music.
Rob halford's "hissstory" and the "i won't be broken, i won't be tortured" part just hits different.
im 13 and a girl and somehow my mom started to listen to this music and then it got to me when i was taken away from her thank you so much for this song and all of your songs i love you
Stay strong and nice profile pic, takes me back
Well your mom has great music taste I wish my mom liked this music
I had to say goodbye to my friend 27. Diagnosed with a Brain tumor 2 weeks ago. We talked about this song and made a promise that we would go to FFDP concert together when he got better. He didn’t get better. I’ll be at your first Florida concert representing all you’ve helped on the fight of life’s disappointments! Thanks for all the pain you release through music! 🤘🤘

I have been a long time fan of Rob Halford. No matter if he's solo, or, with another band of some sort. Rob Halford can rock out with the best of them.
Heard this on the radio the other day! It had been a while since I last heard it, and it had me singing along on the drive home. I love harmonizing with the chorus. :)
Killer
My uncle died. Loved this band. I have no doubt he's blasting it in Heaven. Except that it's not Heaven anymore. It's Valhalla.
My condolences 🤗😉🤘
You damn right! I love this band!!
The puritans would never accept someone listening to such devillish music up there
@@renarddubois940 actually in Heaven we are going to be saved from our vices and the bad things in our hearts so that we only have love for God and for our fellow man.

+Muncher Gaming You can do both. Football and Call of Duty, why not?
david santistevan Well, my name has "gaming" in it, so most people would be like "oh he only plays games, hahah, nerd" (which I am a nerd, but I do play baseball)
Rob Halford sounds majestic as fuck as always omg
YOU GUYS SAY IT BEST! Also, don't forget how important Rob Halfords contributions are because he helped make it possible.
I listen, to most genres of music, depending on my mood and other times depending on the mood I want to achieve. I know I'm blessed, but still this kind of music is divine, I really believe it!
My subconscious heard this....and I found the ominescient truth! Rob Halford adds that extra element...puts this in my top 3 list right now!
intro riff is from heaven

And you think, "could this ROCK more?" and Rob Halford chimes in and you realize : yes. Yes it can.
the more more i listen to them the more i crave why didn't i listen to these guys along time ago
Dude I had my MRI yesterday, they play you anything you want on Spotify and l give you headphones, of course I asked for y'all, 5FDP. The nurse was like ok no prob. Listening to y'all s music for 20mins while I had the MRI completely made me avoid having a panic attack. I love y'all 🤟❤️
I love how they put "Rob Halford of Judas Priest" as if Rob Halford needed any introduction.
To be fair Rob doesn't sound like Rob in this song.
TheClassiestFox how can you say that? if you could explain
I think he meant the way that Halford usually sings on "Priest albums. He did more actual vocals alongside FFDP. Either case, a nice addition, very much metal \m/
domini1337 believe me for those kids out there that they are 12+ years old and listen to f.f.d.p. is needed. don't forget also this band is the reason for new comers and fans into this music .
The one band that can get me ready for anything. Final exams? Momma said knock you out. Drama? Lift me up.
