At just 21 years old i lost practically everything the past couple years. Both parents, my childhood house, my dogs, etc... my mom was a big smoker & my dad was an alcoholic + i was around my dads drunk/drug addict friends all the time growing up & even through all the emotional pain & difficult times I've faced recently NOT ONCE did i try drinking, smoking, drugs or any other bad habit, which im proud of myself for. The 3 things that helped me stay strong during all this (which started getting better around October 2019) was mainly watching wrestling & listening to FFDP among other rock/metal bands ❤

Saw these guys live nearly 10 years ago and it was the best concert i've ever been to to date. These guys are amazing.
Well, like all bands( and people in general) they've had their ups and downs. With Ivan sober they are doing great. It's really nice to see. Great live. Just like Godsmack, every show is amazing live.

I appreciate the serpent symbolism. Resembles Jormungandr the great serpent that helped bring about Ragnarok in Norse mythology.

@@01MartinSmedyy well the whole point of the Serpent is to stabilize the full cycle as the sound implies. Jormungandr in Norse mythology is illustrated as a snake in a circle growing while eating itself. The part about Ragnarok most don't know is at the end of the story some of the gods survive to start a new and build up untill Ragnarok comes again. And the cycle never ends. What's disturbing is Norse mythology is not the only story in past religions to have serpents symbolize the end of the world. All across the world various people talk of this end times and use a snake to portray. No ties or connections and yet everyone comes to the same conclusion. And what this song portrays is that we are all just apart of another empire or another world that is on the brink of ending. It's not the first time the world will end and it won't be the last.

Its actually a play on an Oroboros symbol, which originates from ancient Egyptian iconography. It made it's way into western tradition via the Greeks later on.

Not being a dick here because my whole family was military and to be honest this has nothing to do with the armed forces but the government that tells the military what to do has been deceiving us. Just like the song says. "You should Google all the ways you've been deceived" now obviously it's not all true but we've been lied to so much by this government that how can you trust them with anything. It's time to fix this shit somehow some way.
@@riles13 even though the govt lies most of the soldiers, airmen, seamen and marines know that they're dirty as shit and know where to draw the line. I am ex army and hate my govt and have tons of fellow soldiers that feel the same way we stay true to protect the country and the people behind us. Always support the military just not the govt.
@@sadelcol again warning I'm not trying to be a dick here. I wanted/plan my hold life (since 4th grade through to 12th grade) to be in the military. And I do not claim to know people's motive. But I like to believe I have a sense of "warriorism" the way i look at being a warrior is defending the innocent less fortunate and family. Which most of the time the military is doing such things. But the powers that be in this country have manipulated those ideals into personal gains. So the way I look at it (this may be closed minded) is the soldiers are willing or unwilling helping the cabal achieved Personal greed. To me this is not the way of the warrior and the perpetrator of these acts should be brought to light. Hopefully by the military itself because that's the one black eye of the military

Driving from MS to Houston to see these guys again. Last time I seen them was at knotfest I believe it was. One of the most respectful things ive ever seen so far is 5FDP called this little girl that was on her dad's shoulders up on to the stage with her dad and let them enjoy the concert for the remaining songs.. Pits was going nuts. Been a fan since the way of the fist album.
Finally, a version that's not marked for kids. Now I can save it in playlists and comment on it.

The voice of ivan is strong their music always pulls you in hard even when the mood for heavy isnt there the lyrics put a hold on you.
Man i feel this is a whole new Band with there best elements plus a new refreshing sound and style sounds like ffdp have full creative control on this album
