Hey people just trying to help and clear a few things up, Before Starting Remove the default light and camera then while going in render settings: check Screen Space Reflections and uncheck "half res tres" inside it, Check Ambient Occlusion and set Clamp in Bloom to "1" instead of zero. Edit: Also if the animation isn't the same go to Animation tap, right click on all the keyframes and change the interpolation to "linear".
SOLVED! If you are looking after the "water" kind effect, you just go into the render properties and check the following: - Ambient Occlusion - Bloom - Screen Space Reflections The thing is that you need just the "Screen Space Reflection" to get the effect, but the other 2 are as well importent to check if you work in Evee. Glad to help you :)
for those who have the problem of THE LOOP that stops at the end, just make a right click on the keyframes then interpolation mode, then Linear, you are welcome :) hope this helps you

But, nobody said this was for starters? Maybe you should, as a starter, try to do more basic stuff. All right for those who have trouble with your loop synchronising, *make* *sure* that you have your settings for both ocean mofidifiers set to the right proportions! (E.g Size, spatial size) I took literally an hour to figure that out, so don't make the same mistake as me =.=
exactly! Thanks!
mmm i set both ocean modifiers to the same proportions and the loop dont change, or what do you mean with the "right" proportions?
That was indeed very easy, thanks a lot.
Beginner here, whenever i try to render it, it'll render frame by frame, but once it reaches the end frame (120) itll be a still image. When I try to save this it also gets saved as a still image and I'm not sure how to render it as an animation.
..Wow.. We can put a sky img as background..Making it more authentic.....
Praveen SA totally
When I hit z render and black only my background is turning black Sun and ocean remain same
Help me understand
Well, my setup being rubbish I stupidly decided to render it in 60fps and now I regret it
Same here
Excellent man, easy and nice tutorial
Hey, man the water is slightly different as in the way it reflects the sun's light is not quite the same as 2:04 can I get some help with that?
big thumbs up fam, great tutorial!
Its not working as am working in version 3.3, ones i pick the emission it doesn't reflect the light on the surface
thanks in start i had some option disable after several time watching it i made it. thanks again.
I would share my videos onto Instagram but the problem is I don't know how to save a video into my camera roll. I wish IG would allow us to upload on a desktop.
like other people were asking, How do you get the ocean transparent even after turning down the roughness for the ocean plane? also how do you get the sun to reflect off of the plane?
No one:

Always the best tuts. Thank u
This is sick
Cool animation yo :) 👍
very easy. looks very good! :)
Great! But I have some problems with the light falling onto the water still jagged even though I dragged Rougndness back to O (Plane). Hope to be answered by you. Thank you!
can you add the buttons you click in your other tutorials and thank you for making this easy to follow tutorial!
this, please. I'm stuck figuring out how to pull the subdivide option out
Nate just help me my man. Ocean reflection looks very pixelated. What do i do ?
Hello I followed your tutorial step by step and overall is really happy with my result so thank you for making this tutorial! But, I don't know why, it might be that your pc is slightly better than mine. But anyways I wanna ask, my ocean is way unclearer in the edges, by that I mean that it doesnt anymate as smoothly kind of, did I do something wrong?
Awesome tutorial! Thank you!
Thank you so much. I'm a sucker for perfect loops.
Btw, do you think in the future you could make a tutorial on how to transfer this advanced looping technique on other things?
You're most probably a very busy man so it's just an idea :)
Thanks again for sharing!
Excellent output! How do you make this loop tho??
I increased the fames to 240 and did the exact opposite of 0-120 frames there. Result is a boomerang effect instead of a perfect loop :))
Talanas same shit
Wooooowww, thanks dude, great!
Rodrigo Silva glad you like it
My plane is not reflecting the light from the sphere. What am I doing wrong? (I *had* added ocean modifier, so the plane looks kinda like a wave)
Did you turn the roughness down completely?
@@thatonedamncommenter885 Yes I had done that too.
properties editor -> render -> turn on screen space reflections
@@noosfera4953 Thanks, that worked! It was such a dumb mistake to have :/
