I figured out the lighting glitch for anyone that is having it. What I did: 1. Add my blue light to my tunnel instance. I also moved it to be offset from the camera on the Y axis by 16m instead of 14m. 2. Add a few more instances behind the camera starting postion (Idk if these first two steps actually help because they didn't solve it by themselves, it just has worked for me in the past on different loops) 3. Switch the keyframes for the focal length on the camera. Change frame 1 to 222mm and frame 121 to 32mm and 241 to 222m This will remove the light artifact but it does give a slightly different effect so to get back closer to the original 4. Do the same switch for the displacement keyframes. frame 1 set to 1.5 frame 121 set to 0 etc. 5. In the Graph Editor add a Cycle modifier to each animation and set the loop to start at frame 121 and end at 360 Hope this helped because I know the lighting glitch was driving me crazy after making this amazing effect! Thanks for the tutorial! Definitely subscribed.
Thanks dude! You got me off to a great start with blender. Showing me exactly what I needed to know. You're very clear and thorough in your teaching. Best blender tutor I've come across on RUclips.
Thank you so much I've been trying to find out how to do this graphic for a Halloween portal project that I built. I needed something like this for the projected video that's going to be on it.
Thanks for another great tutorial my guy, learn something new every time! Gonna mess around with the displacement and maybe add some smoke in there I think that could be cool. You deserve wayy more subscribers!
yes for sure, add some volumetrics to the scene and it will look sick! My computer was struggling enough with that scene so I didn't bother with the volumetrics
@@NebMotion do you have a similar tutorial working with cylinders? I'm trying to do something similar but when i displace the cylinders the ends no longer meet symmetrically, if that makes sense?
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!! This is EXACTLY the video I was looking for!!!! Quick question: If I am making a 30 minute loop, do I put in 1800 seconds as the duration? If yes, do I then have to duplicate the cube? Thank you again!!!!!! I LOVE your content!! Clear, concise and fun!!
@@nyingjea6837 hi no actually I would just make a 5 or 10 second loop and then loop it in a video editor because rendering 30 minutes of animation is inefficient
If you move the mesh, then apply location it's the same as moving it in edit mode. Also, you can place an empty where you want the object to be mirrored, then mirror based on the object.
This is a great tutorial, very clear and fun to follow. One problem I'm having is the camera animation - it "glitches" on the final frame messing up the seamless loop. Any tips? EDIT: Ah! I was starting on frame 1 instead of frame 0, which was causing the stutter.
There should be an option to bake sounds to f curves, you then import the audio file you want to bake and assign it to either the tunnel displacement or light emission / color
At about 12:15 -> Color Management the dropdown menues under View Transform ('Standard') and Look ('None') don't show any other options to choose from. Do I have to install some extension pack for that?
Youre tutorials are awesome! Tho I think it would be really better for your viewers if you would use an app that shows all your hotkeys beeing pressed =)
Thanks @Nebmotion, I couldn't figure out how to move the light in the other one I made, but just turned original into a template, and then added some more stuff to make a music visualizer, this is the first thing I have actually rendered, thanks to you and a few other youtubers I was able to learn how to do this in a week. ruclips.net/video/oUYcsWrDpOk/видео.html
Hi i followed the video and made the tunnel, when i just play in render veiw the animation moves at regular speed but when doing final render the animation is extremely slow, im at 3 minutes and just got to frame 120
Ya thanks for fast reply i figured it out, I guess it just renders slowly when I hit render animation as it's actually recording the video ya? I now have the end video mpeg
@@logical_mania yeah so rendering is the final stage process of taking all the information in your scene and calculating all of the geometry and lighting information in each frame, your viewport in eevee also does this but in a very simplified way, when you hit render you are allowing your render engine to calculate everything in more detail which is why it takes longer, the viewport does this in realtime but misses our a lot of information to perform in real time
Thanks yea didn't realize at first. Now though I am having the issue of the light not populating the rest of the tunnel when I place it in the tunnel instance, It worked before and I did it exactly as you did in the video, trying to create another one from scratch for a more vlank template though I may just go tweak the other one I have if I can't figure this out
@@logical_mania try reset the location of the light maybe you are using the default light which is positioned outside of the tunnel, it's hard to say without seeing the scene but that's the first thought that came to my head
Might be the media player you are using or the h264 codec can take a bit longer for your computer to decode, there may be a more optimal codec for your media player
@@NebMotion it’s 10x more work for the same result, mirror then array and you’ll have seamless tunnels no matter what procedural math is affecting it. Nondestructive>manual labor
@@tankyjones888 can't add lights to the array modifier, also you can just drag and drop multiple objects into the collection to populate the scene easily. array modifier also adds vertices to the scene whereas instancing does not

not quite as the object origin point changes when you move in edit mode, but use whatever method works best for you

when i am on the beginning camera step i hit alt g and it responds but does not when i hit alr r after.
that's odd, you can just manually set your rotation in that case or delete your camera and add a new one and see if that works

How did you get bloom on eevee???
Go to render settings and check bloom
