Found you two a month it so ago and I love your videos. I remember you mentioning that you met while both working in research. I'd love it if you could both speak more from that perspective as you're both well educated and experienced in marine biology.
I'm puting in a request: Can you have Fran tell us about her marine biology education, her specialty research? And how did she get from school on the Mediterranean to Australia? They have coral & invasive species in the Med. too, no? That's got to be a good story from the Med. to Australia. And where did she learn enough fishing skills to out-fish Strick???

At some point like after diving when the water is on the gopro, subtitles could help a bit. But line you said, amazing video! It would just make it smoother 👌🏼 really appreciated the few ones you put in this video !

This feigned survivor/survival stuff isn’t what is entertaining about you guys (especially the Castaway channel). You’re both entertaining and interesting hosts, your genuine travel vids are great but this style, in my opinion, is kinda cringe. I’m sure people will disagree with me and I mean no disrespect. These vids feel like audition vids for Survivor or something.

Those lion fish are real tastey and it helps clean the reef sence they have no predators. Just gotta be careful cleaning them

Great video and you guys are awesome, both your natures are so calm, soft, sincere and just look like genuine people who genuinely love nature and the ocean and all its animals, great to see. Could I ask how come you guys dont find a long flat rock to put in the fire to heat up to cook the fish etc on? Ive watched a few videos where you put the fish directly on the fire (amazing to cook it like this I know) but in some cases where you want a soft moist slow cooked meal i.e. octopus, fish, squid etc then the rock will be like a hot plate and the meal wont burn directly on the fire. Just a suggestion cause Ive thought in a few of your videos how I would have done it. Thanks again for the amazing videos and be safe guys yyyeeeewwwwwww

Another thing ... I wish Fran could speak some Italian as dual commentary on the videos. Not that I'm Italian ... but I think it would sound nice for short snippets ... like short-short sentences. Things that limited -lingual people could easily process.

I have worked around people that work in the tourism industry on dive boats and also in the fishing industry for over thirty years. I have talked extensively with marine biologists and other professionals in the field and I have never, ever heard anyone call them a conk.It has always been "conch".you don't eat a bunk of grapes or work on a workbenk or punk a person in the face if they are word nazis.😆

I know nothing about Spider Conches, are they a quick growing food source that we can take sustainably? I had to laugh at 9:12 Fran is wearing hats Like I do! I don’t know your environment but why take so many conch? I live in Florida where the Queen Conch is protect… looked like plenty of snapper for spearing….
One could totally survive off of coconuts entirely. Coconuts are VERY energy rich and in case of survival one could go quite far with coconuts.
Just Saying, If you ate nothing but coconut’s and coconut milk, You would develop diarrhea really fast.
How come you never use an auger drill ( bushcraft type) to drill into the coconuts ?? Just curious 🤷🏻♂️

Hey Strick, what happened with some of the audio? You were talking but we couldn't hear what you were saying?
Apart from the audio, it was another great video, especially seeing all the fish in that tidal pool.
Loved the night time bit as well, especially the octopus encounter.
Maybe a few more night time adventures might be in order, as good chance to see what other marine life are active at night.
