    • @TorqueTestChannel
      @TorqueTestChannel  6 месяцев назад +3

      @@IIHawkGamingII It does make a lot of power, especially for the price. But max, like peak ever, power for an impact driver probably doesn't make it into the top 3 important things for the tool. We're going to measure it, and rank it... cuz channel name. But it doesn't make it a shoe in for a top 10 tool we feel. Been using it off and on all year and I stand by that.

      Not really a tool, but my favorite thing you did this year was the cordless “air” hammer testing with the SDS drills. That was some super surprising results. Hopefully the big brands took notice and are working on something to compete with the size and beans of an actually air hammer. I think there is a HUGE market for a something like that.

      Personally I think the Hercules Gen 2 Ultra Torque deserved at least an honorable mention. For the price it has impressive performance and a warranty equal to Milwaukee, except you can just walk into a store and exchange it. Meanwhile sending in to Milwaukee for repairs takes 2 weeks+

    What German has never heard of Metabo? Anytime i go there for groceries and i visit a retailer (like Hornbach, OBI, Bauhaus etc) i see Metabo tools. And yes a lot of contractors use Metabo as well in Germany cause their full service package insures you against theft, 24 hour repair, free repair on parts that wear out, 8 years guarantee on availability on replacement parts etc etc.

      Can you update how the battery quality is? I purchased Ryobi once, and vowed to never again get a cheap tool brand, because the battery packs appeared to be used battery packs, with only about 1/4 of the quality of a Bosch battery pack (they were NiCD batteries at the time). Since that bad experience with Ryobi's good tools with horrendously bad batteries, I assume that cheap brands are using fake scam battery packs to get the cost down.

    • @dmusk
      @dmusk 5 месяцев назад

      @@starseeddeluxe I actually didn't get it in the end unfortunately. Either amazon delivered it to the wrong address or it got left on doorstep and someone stole it. Luckily for me aliexpress sent me my order for a Onevan impact that I'd cancelled to buy the seesii and amazon refunded me no questions asked so got myself a free impact. At least with these Chinese tools you have the option of getting a genuine makita pack if the batteries turn out to be trash (I'm sure they're not great) but the ammount id use them they'll be fine for me I'd guess.

    Just bought a 2015 Xterra since my 2008 Frontier was such a great truck. Really tempted to put a VK in the Frontier since it's pretty much finally out of commission at 416,000 miles with a pretty serious headgasket leak. Call me crazy but I kinda want to tear the VQ apart and just replace the headgaskets and see how many more miles I can get out of the engine. Of course my buddy mechanic thinks I'm nuts for wanting to do that lol. A VK would be so cool in the Fronty but a bit pricey considering needing to find a donor in this market. But, I would love that grinder and the DeWalt cutoff tool especially. Instead, I bought the Milwaukee on Black Friday. Hoping it doesn't suck too bad. Really wish I could just buy whatever battery or tool I want. It's really obnoxious.

    Oh yes please, PLEASE make the tool. It's so refreshing to see people make stuff because they want good things to exist and not simply to make money. Also, if that thing brings the beans, I'm sure you could fudge a _little_ on the price for some features and still make plenty of sales. If it's able to even partially replace a purchase 2-3x the price, it's kinda' inevitable that it'll make sales.

    Did the Ework 3/4 inch impact not make the list or was it reviewed after the list came out?

    I thought the Hercules HCB81B would get a place. I'm a teal team member, but I'm impressed by this thing.

    I know for some reason you don't do many corded tool comparisons/tests. But can we please see some in the future. Particularly 4 1/2 - 6" grinders (like the Makita, Metabo, Dewalt rat-tails)? Some saws would be nice too...Makita, Skill, Dewalt, etc...including rear handle models.

    Your drill attachment impact could have some legs in the drag and drive world or overlanding. Possibly even some type of remote construction. Anything where weight and size are a large factor. Id be very interested even at the $100 range

      It would be really awesome if they do come out with one...I've been trying to hunt for more, my second one went to FunkFPV, none have come up sense then.

    I'm a HART guy because I'm a hobbyist and their tools are more than enough for prepping the Miata before an upcoming autocross... But... That DeWalt with VTEC calls to me in a primal fashion akin to a Dodge Hellcat.

    Hopefully one day you can go into detail about your test equipment. Tear down and deep dive into the Electronic loads, how you chain them together, stuff like that.

    I’m surprised the DeWalt DCF891 didn’t make the list as it’s the do everything impact.

    I have no use at all for such a tool, but that dewalt impact wrench makes me giddy inside. I'm celebrating the just because you can, definitely means you should team over there at Dewalt ❤

    3 gen High-Toque Milwaukee is definitely a beast! It did a number on my impact sockets this week, and it broke 2 sockets. Here soon we’ll see “Warranty voided if used on Milwaukee Gen 3 impact or Dewalt DF900” Both those impacts will destroy any HBF impact socket within a few uses on rusty bolts
