    That yr gyro is actually an agfrc re brand. Agf is actually who make about 90% of the servos and gyros on the market. Ever notice how almost all servos and gyros look exactly the same only with different brands names on them? That’s why. The smaller 4 wire cable is for micro receivers in 1:24 and 1/28 scale drift cars.

      You can do manual gain control - but you really don't want to. It will be miserable.

    • @RoadsideRC

      YES - you 100% need a gyro upgrade. [I assume you are talking about a RWD RC drift car]
      Do not cheap out on a gyro - it is a VERY important part of rc drifting. I recommend the Futaba GYD550/470/450, the Onsiki Daruma, or the ReveD Revox as the main gyros to use. You could also use the Yokomo DP-302 v4.

      Do not use receivers with built in gyros for drifting. They are not designed for drifting. They are more for speed running to keep the car going in a strait line. Get any stand alone gyro and a new receiver and you will magically become much much better at drifting. Lol😂

      @@RoadsideRC Thankfully I managed to get it to work. I got it into programming mode for the steering angle maximum points and after that it began to work. • @UnrivaledPiercer
    @UnrivaledPiercer 10 месяцев назад

    Out of curiosity, what happens in regards to installing a gyro like this in a awd touring car instead of a rwd drift car? I know that awd cars don't have the turn angle, but do gyros like this still help with basic drift control? I want more of a all purpose basher type vehicle, so I was looking at getting a Traxxas 4-tec 2.0 so I could kind of have a "jack of all trades master of none" car. I figure maybe with drift wheels and a gyro it might not be that bad at drifting? I know the steering angle would really work against it, but I figured maybe...? I'm entirely new to the world of drift and touring cars. Coming from 1/5 scale gas and 1/10 buggies, so touring and drift are alien to me.

    • @RoadsideRC
      @RoadsideRC  10 месяцев назад

      For an AWD car, you simply don't need - or want - a gyro at all. Just throw those drift tires on it and have fun hooning around a parking lot.
      It is a VERY different driving style than a RWD car and a different use case.

      I use a gyro on my street/rally tamiya xv01. It’s definitely worth getting a gyro. It really emulates 1:1 rally things when driving it on dirt or loose surfaces. I’m able to hold slides and drifts more competently especially when transitioning from left to right turns or under heavy wot.

    • @Bad1flip
