- Just wanted to put up a video to show the installation of the 2018 Ford Factory Bead Lock rings on the Ford Raptor forged wheels. These wheels are an option when you buy a Raptor (upgraded option)

Thanks. This was one of the best explanations, by simply showing, of what beadlocks are.
Side note. Recently I had a bad experience with steel bolts into aluminum so I cringed a little when saw the bag of bolts. When you brought the anti seize lubricant out I sighed.
Thanks! I appreciate you letting me know.
I have the same Raptor but in the SuperCab, I am moving to Florida from NY. So I went to Line-X to get the wheel wells and the whole underbody done. A word of advice, make sure you tell them what you DO NOT want covered and repeat it and have it hand written on your reciept before they start working on your vehicle. I made it clear for them NOT to spray the whole front end..it was supposed to be a 1day job drop off and pickup next day. They sprayed my Lower control arms and the front wheel Liners!! It took them 4 days to clean off the Lower control arms, thats how good the stuff is, its now Oil based, not the rubber material. You also get a 5yr warranty. I will be going headlock when i move to Florida. The factory ring is called "Beauty Ring" that comes with the deadlock capable wheels that we have...Thanx for the video
Thanks for the input. Great advice on the wheel wells!
Wow, they look really nice. I never thought oem wheels would look that good. Thanks for sharing the video.
Thank you for the comment and kind words! It definitely transforms the truck.
@@EnduroAmerica did you have to re-torque them after some use or do they stay tight. I ask because in trying to get informed before I buy beadlock wheels.
@@darkmatter206 I went back and checked after about 1,000 miles. No issues at all. I've driven it about 15,000 miles since then and have had no issues at all. I haven't checked them since then and probably should. Maybe a followup video is in order? Hope that helps.
@@EnduroAmerica I appreciate your feedback. That would cool if you do a follow up video. Thank you.
Nice looking addition to the factory wheels. It's a shame to spend that kind of money on a truck and they leave the wheel wells looking so unfinished. It looks soo much better when you buy the wheel liners or under coat them.
Boy I couldn't agree more! Thanks for the message!
I just bought at 2017 Raptor with 14.4k miles on it. It's got the stock wheels that aren't ready for the beadlock ring kit. The tires are a little worn so I'm thinking about fresh KO2's and going with the OEM Beadlock Rims and Ring. This video really helped me think about if I wanna do it or not. The anti-seize seems real smart. Curious what that lube stuff brand is? Thanks a lot for sharing this video and helping a fellow 4wheelin' guy out.
Thanks for the comment! I'm really glad the video is helping people. I think the brand is permex. Congratulations on your new raptor! They are amazing vehicles!
THANK YOU!
You're welcome!
You are very welcome. Hopefully it helped. I hadn't seen any videos like this on RUclips so thought I'd give it a go.
Nice video. Quick question, can I daily the truck with the beadlocks rings installed? I will probably go off-roading about once every 2 months, and will be driving the truck about 50 miles every day. Do the bolts need to be frequently torqued down?
Can you drive the truck around when you take off the factory beadlock rings? Not the upgraded version you installed.
Zachary, thank you for the question. Yes. If you were to remove the factory (cosmetic trim) rings you would be able to drive around just fine. They are just that, a cosmetic ring. The ones I installed are the Ford factory bead lock rings (actual bead locks) I cannot drive around after removing these as they hold the tire on the rim. Hope this answers your question!
Are beadlocks Street Legal in your area?.. Im from California & have heard they are not. (Not sure why)
Technically I don't think they are street legal in any state. With that said I've had them on the last 3 vehicles I've owned and have never had an issue with the "law" or the wheels. It's likely I'll continue to run them in the future as well.
What size tire are you running? Is it the stock BFG 315?
Yes. These are the stock tires.
Hi, did you have to buy the bead lock ring or it comes with it from the dealer...?
I purchased them. They can be bought at any Ford performance racing dealer for about 200 each.
What’s the offset on the wheel? Is it wider than the base wheelset?
These are the stock forged wheels that can be ordered through Ford as an option on the raptor. I believe they are the same as the stock OEM wheels.
