I owned a 1050 Tiger, great bike. Went up to a KTM SDGT. Still have the KTM, and recently purchased an 850 Sport as my "back up" bike.

I think triumph with this tiger 800 sport will be close to the tracer 9 in many way but that’s only my guess 🫣

I own the 660 for more than a year now and had about 30k km untill now.
As you said do it all bike.
I found the seat comfortable for me. Riding this bike is easy. It's agile and There's no need to compress it to make it turn. Than wise is easy and not tiring.
I really enjoy this bike. By the way, I improved the suspension front and rear by replace for hyper pro progressive suspension, and it really helped!!!
As for the 800. It looks like they changed something in the engine to produce more power.
No one pay attention for the power that gets highly revs. 8250 instead of 6500 I think.
To be honest, I prefer a tourqe engine.
Yes they improved the suspension or at least offering now adjustable. Still think its low cost suspension. As for the total price
At the moment we don't know the price of the new 660 or 800 so it's hard answer the question if its worth upgrading from the 660 to the 800

The Tiger Sport 800 plugs a huge gap in the current Triumph line up for a particularly segment perfectly - those currently on the Street Triples 675/765 which may wanting to settle down a little bit but also don’t want to down size to a Tiger Sport 660 or a Trident, or move to competitors with parallel twins cos they love the triple engine too much, while also not wanting to become an adventure bike dad just yet and get a Tiger 900 or 1200. Not doing two up on the Tiger Sport 800 would seem like an intentional choice especially if the target buyers are those from Street Triples who mostly ride solo. The Tiger 850 Sport will be gone as the Tiger 900 GT/GT Pro already fills that road bias adventure bike gap and makes the 850 Sport redundant.

I think that you are right. Now “sport” lineup will make a sense. And everything adventure will start from 900.

I wonder if they'll bring back the 1050 in the coming years

That would be nice if they bring a bigger tourer.

The new Tiger 800 might finally be a worthy replacement to my 800xrt. I think Triumph has put this bike out primarily to give customers a road bike option without the T-plane crank found in the 850/900s. I’m looking forward to sitting on one and hope it has a slightly more open rider triangle than the 660

Yes, judging by 660 experience, that engine should be smoother than T-plane one. However, the bike doesn’t feel same level premium as previous 800 or current 900 bikes. I tried to sit on it, sitting position is slightly better than 660, but not sure if that a big of a difference.

If only we had an offroad focused 660 we need a lift kit for the 660 and it would be perfect

I am confused with this 800 Sport. Recently purchased a 850 Sport and love it but this one seems to have a better engine and more electronics for less money!

They are different class. Tiger 800 has more tech, yes, but finishing quality is better on 850 because it is technically 900 platform. I own both, so I can compare.

Tiger 850 has a 19” front wheel and T-plane engine so it’s an ADV. I don’t think it really compares with the Tiger Sport 800.

triumph next year launch new tiger sport 660 with cruise control and some other features. Otherwise is 800 almost the same like 660 but pricier.

Yes. New 660 is better. I mentioned in the video that I compare 800 to current 660.
