Terrific review. You hit on something so many reviews ignore and that is max load capacity. This Tiger has more than 70 lbs capacity than the Yamaha. That’s a really big deal for a touring bike and the reason I would pick the Tiger. Well done review.
Interesting review, its the first one I've seen that is comparing it back to the old Sport 1050, which I'm surprised no one else has really done. I own an 07 Tiger 1050 (pre-Sport) with 181,000 km on it, which I absolutely love but at some point in the next year or two will be probably replacing and this is what it will probably be.
Great review - gives real sense of the machine and answered a lot of my questions. . One question though: What is the direct German translation of "Easy Peezy". LOL
I've been waiting for these reviews. I'm looking for a bike to replace my tiger 900 that is lighter. I figured the T800S might have done it. But I get slightly worried that all reviews emphasise the twisties and sportiness. I want a bike for all day touring, on pavement that has the power and equipment and is lighter. I'm not sure now if the T800S does that ? I'll have to wait for some long term reviews. Edit. And that dash is crap-at least put something anti glare and some handguards would've been nice.
Just in terms of chassis, you reccon it's more stable than the gsxs 1000 gx (cornering) and more spacious for the pillion? Asking because i'm interested in both models, even if they're different in some aspects. Regards from Portugal.
I would say that the Tiger is more agile, but the Suzuki more stable with its longer wheelbase, especially ar faster Speeds. Pillion space and comfort are also better on the Suzuki I am sure, although I only rode solo on the Triumph. Cheers from Vienna
People discuss horsepower and gadgets trying to find out if this is better or that is better (e.g., this vs Tracer 9) but what really matters is this - does it consume oil? I would not want to carry oil bottles on long trips, an important trait of a touring motorcycle is the ability to not require adding oil between changes.
Great review, on par pretty much with MCN. Alright in touch with Triumph to see what's possible when. How do you compare it overall with the base or even GT version of the Tracer, and perhaps even the Ducati Multi V2? I'm considering all three bikes and your opinion would greatly help, considering how precise and clear your review was.
In my opinion the Tiger Sport 800 and Tracer 9 are super close and it comes down to personal preferences. The Tracer has more modern electronics/gadgets and more torque, but the Triumph is lower, maybe a bit more agile and easier to handle. The bikes are so similar, that I would need time for a direct comparison of the two to have a full verdict. And for the Ducati: As there is a new Multistrada with a new V2 engine I really cant say. My colleague is at the first press test right now, so expect a video in the next 48 hours. If you are thinking about the "old" Multistrada V2, that bike has a lot more character, vibrations and charisma, but for that has to give up some usability and easy handling. I hope that helps. Cheers, McGregor
@@1000pscom If I may ask one more thing. If you had to choose between the 2024 Tracer 9 GT+ and the new Tiger Sport 800 for everyday usage, commuting, comfort, occasional up to touring, and general suspension comfort, which you choose?
I really feel like Yamaha tacked too much crap onto the Tracer, pricing it out of its own category. The Tiger Sport seems primed to snap up all those sales.
Great review. Fed up with the latest manufacturers trend of fitting minimalist mudhguards that cause the front and rear of their bikes to be covered in muck, as soon as the weather turns fowl.
Good review and sounds like a test ride is in order. Appreciate the English version too 👍
Thanks!
Great review! Really informative for a prospective buyer.
Appreciate the English version… well done!
Excellent review! The best to date!

My stomach does indeed demand respect 😂.
This is one of the best reviews, and I've watched all of them.
Amazing! Great review
Appreciate english version. Love your review

What video is that?!
Eloquent review. Thank you.
Great review very informative excellent mode range bike for the money. Waiting patiently for mine 😎🌴

Hard to translate one to one, "locker flockig" is probably as close as it gets :)
Looks like a great bike. How does it compare with the Tiger 800 XRT?

Good point. Think it's too early to tell though as this is the first batch of test rides not long term reviews.

That does help indeed, but I will also very much look forward to the new Multi V2’s review!
Thank you very much!
