Right you can access the fog light which is right next to the headlight by simply unscrewing it. You have the same access panel for the head light but it just does not unscrew. Just remove 1/3 of your trucks body paneling and presto. I love Toyota but they can shove that head light where the sun don't shine.
Man I must thank you for saving me over 225 dollars. I replaced both my headlight bulbs myself after watching your video one time!! The BEST advice I have ever gotten!! It took me only 30 minutes to do and I used a ratcheting screwdriver not a drill. Thank you soo much
My 2014 has an LED light kit installed by the previous owner. I have been driving it on high beam for a while now since the left low beam burnt out. I have decided to check what is the exact replacement bulb to buy but every time I have tried it looks not so simple to pull out I gave up.... today I decide to do it. Thank you for sharing...👋🖐🤜🤛
Thank you SOO much for getting straight to the point brother. Did exactly what you said in the video and it was MUCH easier than I expected. You just earned yourself a new subscriber.
There are tabs on the bottom corners of the grill that need to be pushed up. Just reach through the inside, lift the tab and pull away to minimize the risk of breaking them off.
DO NOT remove the two wheel well bolts, it is not necessary. You risk breaking the black plastic piece under the body panel right where the bottom headlight bolt is. It needs to be held firm while you pull on the painted body panel covering it. He said "that's not supposed to come off" (4:20) his was falling off because all the plastic rivets holding it on were broken. He's lucky he did not break his at the top where the plastic is thinner like I did.
No don’t yank on the grill there’s two tabs on the bottom of each side that you have to press down that will allow it to come out he just got to play with those a little bit and wiggle the whole thing around just a little bit while you’re pressing those tabs down
Thanks for the refresher! I am going to change my spyder head light bulb to a led and I hope I don’t break anything haha because I’ve taken my grill out handful of times im sure the plastic screws are weak.
@@Donnythelatemodeltech I tried this yesterday on my Tundra and the fender extension under the headlights does not want to come off. It seems really snug near the corner of the lights and I'm worried I am going to break something pulling on it, every video shows I've watched shows it practically falling off with just a light pull. How much effort is it to go through the fender well to get to the headlight bulbs?
@@zam442 i have a video on replacing the antenna, it should be a good guide on getting to the back of the lamp. I will link it in a second comment, youtube likes to hold links because of spam so if it doesn't pop up , you'll need to go to my channel to find it.
What a pain compared to our FJ Cruiser, 1st Gen Sequoia, and Sienna. I can’t believe Toyota made it this difficult. How embarrassing to have to take your front end apart to change the headlight bulbs.
Hi at 5:17 the one you are about to unplug there’s a cover hole right? In My head light I don’t know why the hole that is covered on your headlight in mine is open and there’s a wire went inside of it. I want to remove it but I can’t at all and I don’t know why it’s there. 😔😔😔😔 do you know anything about it? I have 2014 tundra 1794 thanks for the help it’s right under the turn signal
It almost appears that you could remove the battery on one side, and the washer fluid reservoir on the other side and access the bulbs from behind. Surely it's not that simple though.
F that. I am at 98K and have the 125K service coming up. Add it on. Thats why I have money. It provides me with time to make more money. Which saves me time. Amazing video however
As an engineer, it positively enrages me that they make it so ridiculously difficult to do routine maintenance.
As a non engineer who's worked on every car he's owned I agree with you. It's idiotic.
I totally agree with you and I don't know how to work on any vehicle
Fr. My bmw is easier than this. 😂
Unbelievable

Awesome tutorial! Took me about 35 mins and you saved me from going tot he dealership. All bc a signal bulb fell out. Thanks for not wasting time
Thank you for this video! I’m not a mechanically minded person but I got it done with your help.
Thanks bud. Quick and simple video without talking my ear off. Love it.
Good job with the camera on your head! Easy to watch. Just what I needed, thanks!
Thanks , I've got a much new video out if you wanna check it out . Thanks again ruclips.net/video/61mFt-2Zp-M/видео.html
Came in clutch bro! Tundra trd pro here✋🏼
My brother is helping me put in my new Morimoto gen 2 headlights in a couple days 👍 thanks for the visuals and tips!
😁
I love my 2017 tundra but is suck when you has to Replace the HD Lights bulbs 👍
NICE Video helpful 👍👍👍
Thanks, saved me a lot of time. It would be nice if the just used twist lock lamp bulbs like the blinker setup
Awesome video boss! Just bought my first tundra and I’m wanting to go led

Is that black grille stock
Nice video! Where did you get your black tundra grill? Looks awesome!
Thank you. ruclips.net/video/p5iDrZD9Fyg/видео.html
Appreciate the video! Also, could you tell me what kind of rims those are? I really like them.

Thanks man for taking the time, good vid and explaination. Liked and subbed
Thank you for this great video. Follow your instructions and new lights are in .
Thanks for the how to, helped out a lot.
Thanks was not bad at all saved 100 dollars to have Toyota dealer do it dry easy to do
I had to go through the fender wheel well on my ouback. Having to move the grill with many clips that like to break is ludicrous.
Good job bro thanks for sharing your video 🙏🇲🇽🙏
Wait so to change that outside parking bulb you have to take the whole head light out ? I can't see anyway to get to it easily.
You can pull the wheel liner... its messy.
This worked great thanks for making the video
found a dead bird so far, good tutorial
This was very helpful, thanks!
I had a feeling I was gonna have to take the grill off. So annoying. Might as well swap the stock horns while I’m at it.
Just swap everything ruclips.net/video/61mFt-2Zp-M/видео.html
Just snap those sheet metals baffles off of the horn trumpet end. Huge difference in volume. I think it's a U.S. DOT thing.

Battery and water tank removal is not easier?
complicated but thank you
Great video and a lot of help!
🍺
7 mins to take it apart 2 hrs to put it together.?
Those bolts in the wheel-well don't hold that plastic cover underneath the light in at all. its just clips.
Ya couldve showed how to change the bulb while your at it
Really helpful for my LED headlight swap. Thank you!
Help me out with a view ruclips.net/video/OkUDUsZ7psU/видео.html Thank you
Thanks dude

This is exactly why my bulbs are still Factory from 2015. What a giant pain in the a-hole.

Great video but man you are asking for trouble leaving your tools, clips, and bolts in your engine bay lol
🇺🇸... you forgot to remove the engine, transmission, back axles too! WHAT A PAIN!
And this is why I haven't changed it yet fml lol
Looks like a mechanic had an affair with a design engineers wife and he got even
One miserable lightbulb, all that? Wow
Yeah, new cars!
Good video crappy camera angle
What a pain in the ass
What a pain in the ass to just remove bulbs
Wow this looks like a pain just to change a light bulb. Smdh
Most new cars are like these.
Better hope your bulbs don't burn out below freezing. Everything plastic will shatter. What a dumb design
I'm in that boat right now...smh. My chevy lights came out so quick and painlessly...
what a stupid design. wasted me a lot of time
