I think this kinda modular stuff is my favorite. Just a person, a modular, and the person's ideas :D I guess there are sounds too.

All modulars are a temporary state of affairs it would seem. Looking forward to the next constellation of modules you explore.

Haha, yes. I feel like for many, there is an end goal, a specific set of modules. But, I think once you go through the process of adding and removing and thinking so intensely about the problem solving about it all, it probably won’t end exactly where it was set out to. I’m in that boat for sure with much fewer modules mind you. My end goal hasn’t expanded to a monster case or anything but the way I think about a case is different. I think I’d be happy with an assembled 7u case with maybe a B case that’s smaller to swap things out of so that I could still enjoy the process of pairing different modules for interesting and new results but without each new module in the case being a purchase. I have some flowover now from a 4u case and it’s really fun actually trying to consider what I could cram into just 4u alone.

Wonderful patching! It’s incredible how smoothly you run through a patch from scratch. I’ve tried a few times but on top of some technical hurdles, I was nowhere near as coherent. You’ve got a gift! Thanks for teaching us all! This sounds wonderful by the way. Looking at the length of video I’m amazed that you did that with explanations in that amount of time!

Having so many classic MI modules in one case...means you've goone full on modular. Haha. I still can't find to buy Blades to make my collection complete. :(

Really inspiring stuff! These textures and sounds are a major part of what I'm looking to get out of my own slowly growing system. Right now I'm working with an Instruo TsL, Buchla tiptop quad lowpass gate, a lil pico DSP for some effects, and I just acquired a Pam's Pro Workout which has been a game changer. I'm trying to put together a similar sounding system but I'm unsure which VCO / other modules to get that would bring me closer to something like these sounds, mutations, textures. Any recommendations for next modules?

As much as this is weird & wonderful, I was kinda secretly hoping for more 4/4 / techno vibes. You had me excited for a minute when Elements first came in with a faster pattern...

As long as he samples a decent voice and not his own that would be good.
Unless he just uwus into the magpies contact mic.

It is so sad, that these modules are not made anymore and thus are unreasonably expensive on the used market... I would love to get a beads at some point.
This patch and the process of it was very calming and i needed that right now.

There are many companies making clones of MI modules, After Later Audio and Calsynth to name but two.

That’s a good point, I’m not sure if any Beads clones exist yet. Hopefully soon, it is a great module.

I don't know where you are but here in the Netherlands people regularly sell their Beads at around retail price (300 euros), so at least here they're not unreasonably expensive

Such a crazy, crispy, choppiness with that early clocked Freeze & next section with that layered Clouds magic! Reminds me of some earlier Whitearmor/Sadboy × GRXGAR leads in the best way.
