Siblings Reunited at the Hastings Miniature Railway's 'GALA WEEKEND' - 26/09/2020

Having seen several of their locomotives at both Eastleigh Lakeside and Watford Miniature Railways, I finally managed to get down to the Hastings Miniature Railway for their Gala Weekend on Saturday 26th September 2020.
Highlight of the event was the pairing of sister locomotives HMR 0-4-2T "Edmund Hannay" and WMR 0-6-0T "Pilgrim" for the first time ever.
Locomotives featured are as follows...
- SBCR 1000-class 'Bullock' 4-6-2 No.1002 "The Empress"
(visiting from the Eastleigh Lakeside Railway)
- WWER 2-6-2 No.4 "Black Beauty"
(visiting from the Ferry Meadows Railway)
- WMR 0-6-0T "Pilgrim"
(visiting from the Watford Miniature Railway)
- HMR 0-4-2T No.1 "Edmund Hannay"
- BR Class 47 'Duff' Co-Co No.47834 "Jerry Lee"
- HMR D-H 0-4-2ST No.6 "Cornish Pixie"
- HMR D-H Bo-Bo "Speedy Fizzle"

For years this railway was a tad neglected so it is great to see so much activity on it once more.

I saw the Empress being loaded bound for Hastings via a picture but I didn’t know it was for a gala weekend
