OLAPLEX TREATMENT On Natural curly and gray hair

- Olaplex is used to rebuild bonds in hair. It can be used in chemical services such as hair color or hair lightening to help prevent hair damage but it can also be used as a treatment to assist in repairing hair.
UPDATE:
It rebuilds bonds or structures inside the hair strands that have been damaged. If you use it with a chemical treatment it prevents the damage of the hair structure. Think of it as if the hair was a road, olaplex goes in and fills the potholes to make it whole again. If that makes sense.

I absolutely loved this. Both mother and daughter are beautiful. You both look so alike. I have grey roots and are about an inch or two but if they grew out like your mother's have I would love that. I knowwww. We have tried wash n go and twist out. She hates them. Most older people come from that era where it has to be fried and laid lol. I’m just happy I was able to convince her to stop relaxing it.

That's what you think. Not trying to be negative, but she just so happens to be blessed with GORGEOUS gray hair. Healthy full head of gray of hair. What a blessing! Everybody's gray hair doesn't look as good. She's exceptional. Gray hair texture can be wiry, yellow tinged, unmanageable, have a mind of it's own. Basically, rebellious. Does that treatment tame gray hair?

Thank you for this comment. Sometimes there is a time where you have to be stingy. I’ve gotten called out for not using enough of other products but I follow manufacturers instructions especially with treatments because too much can be harmful sometimes if you use too much. I know you didn’t ask all that lol. Thanks for watching!
@@sevenzenhair67 lol maybe stingy was the wrong word......should have said an even dispersment. Most stylist shampoo, condition and treat the very top layer leaving the "insides"/ "guts" untouched.....especially when the hair is thick or lengthy. Thank you kindly for your response and explanation.

I just saw someone put plastic wrap over drain so they could suck the product back up to really make sure they got it all over hair. It was clever move especially with thick hair like your moms. Her hair looks really healthy already. Have you done treatment before on her?

Hi great job! I have a question. I have a client that naturally gray that’s been getting silk Press for a year on natural hair. She came to me and I did the exact treatment you did on your mom and she’s saying it’s taking longer to revert back. I explained to her that the treatment is going inside and filling in the hold to correct damage which in turn when flat iron it creates a memory to be straighter right than normal but if she clarifying it will revert back. What’s your thoughts on this? Do you notice you Mom’s hair staying straighter long because of the bond that are being connected and hsir strand being filled?
The olaplex should have made the hair healthier. Did you mean that her curls didn’t revert back after she shampooed? Or just that her press lasted longer?
Hi thanks for responding. The press last longer . I feel because of I using the number one under the dryer it filled in the pot holes giving her hair more strength and the longer she kept it straight she the had a memory for straight so therefore when she went to shampoo she would really hAve to deep cleanse for the curl to come back because the product did what it was supposed to do repair and fill in. When water hits the hair after this treatment it will take longer to revert because the treatment created a stronger wall of resistance. Do you feel the same on you mothers hair when using the product?

Which Olaplex formula are you using ? I see several online. I just want a deep conditioner for my dry hair.
I used 1 and 2 which you wouldn’t be able to purchase unless you are licensed. You can however get 3 which is about the same as 2 and then there 4-7 which are shampoo conditioner and styling products

Have you ever used a yellow-out conditioner or a purple product on her hair to get rid of the yellowing on the greys, especially since you use heat for styling? I have pre-mature greys so I am familiar with yellowing. For me, it same from relaxers and heat.
Yes I have tried the fanola and the yellow out. I think they work ok but she said she doesn’t like the way it makes her hair feel. She uses a certain type of conditioner which she hasn’t been able to find lately
