That Lumina is in great shape! Lots of fresh looking paint in that engine bay. Looks well taken care of.
This video was very thorough easy to understand. Thanks.
Dude, thank you so much for sharing that video! I have a 1997 Chevy Lumina that was my mom's car and the coolant level light just kept coming on and flashing. I thought it was because the coolant was bad, so, I flushed the radiator and added new coolant, but the light kept flashing. I ended up changing the coolant sensor just like you showed in your video and it worked! Thanks again man !!I really appreciate it and will subscribe to you right now!!
This video was perfect. Just bought an 02 century for my daughter, only 67k having same issue. This was very informative to correct my issue.
thanks for upload this I have a same problem now I know how to repair it. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👌👌👌👌👌👌👌
My brother! Love the clean engine bay at 234k in that Chevrolet! I got the 1999 Buick century and I’m working on having mine as clean as this one! Also about to do this low coolant sensor as well. My OCD is very bothered by this light.
Thanks bro. Great video. I will be doing this tomorrow on a 99 Montana. By the way, your engine is incredibly clean for a 99 with 243k miles! Well done!
Ill have to admit those are kilometers not miles. Thanks a lot though, hope all went well on your install today!
On my 98 lumina I had to tighten them down tight or else it will leak a little lol but I have to change my sensor out. I just changed out my thermostat, water pump, fuel pump, egr, fuel injectors, PCM, tires, breaks, calipers and more. Mine has 115,015.2 miles but has some rust due to sitting for 2 years not running. But wow does it drive nice, only had one owner that used it to drive back and forth to work and that was all they used it for.
Great job and simple explation. Thanks...have subscribed and gave it thumbs up......jb
I’ve got a 2002 Buick Regal I just ran into the same issue as you did my low coolant light comes on and off then the light comes on randomly I assume my coolant level sensor is bad
This is such a great video! Have the same issue 1999 buick regal ! Just wondering is their a way to test bad sensor with multimeter just to make sure ??
Good one
Mine keeps getting air in it like you said. But the sensor works. Is there anyway to get the air out so the light goes off?
Awesome! Thank you!
so clean
I chg my low coolant sensor on my 94 Pontiac grand prix but the low coolant light is still on what else should I do?
Great video! Would the faulty sensor cause the radiator fans not to trip? My fans only kick on when the AC is on. So, my car overheats after running running for 10-15 mins. Will replacing the sensor fix that?
Sounds like the head gasket issue these cars are notorious for!!!!!! Do NOT USE DEXCOOL COOLANT!!!!!!!! It eats away these head gaskets because of the acid!!!!!!!!
bravo
What were the symptoms you were having with this going bad?
Good video.
I'm doing the same job right now and can't push the new one all the way in.
It appears that the O-rings are preventing it from going in all the way flush.
I've tried everything.
Already mangled one O-ring.
What's the solution to this one?
Anyone?
hey man i’m having the same issue, did you happen to be able to push it in somehow ?
@@metanoiacollusion2048 - I just kept working it. In hindsight I wouldn't have wasted my time changing it.
Just unplug it.
It's a useless sensor.
Light is still on.
I believe that the problem is in the dash cluster.
Probably a bad solder connection.
i laughed when your car wouldnt start . lol
On my 2000 Buick century The engine gets extremely hot to the touch almost scalding, but the temp gauge needle stays at the middle or right under the middle. The issue I’m having is that the low coolant sign is on but the radiator reservoir is full. Anyone have any idea what could cause the light to turn on. It happens after driving for 1 hr.
he just showed you why the light is coming on the sensor is dirty or bad like 6 bucks on ebay
Soak sensor in purple power to trick the system
Work it in, take your time..that's what she said....
Green coolant!
this stuff works like a charm for me !
You don’t use dexcool for Chevys?
@@jaimecruz5367 DEXCOOL is the reason these 3100’s have LOWER INTAKE MANIFOLD GASKET PROBLEMS!!!!!!
