February, 2021. Michigan. 1996 Chevy Lumina 3.1L. I just finished this job in 10 degree weather and it was just as easy as it looked. I did take it inside to clean it. Well done video and thanks for posting it.
I paid over $300 to get my mass air flow sensor change this month. Should I have replace it or cleaned it? I am told that I need to replace my fuel injector(s). I had a code of P0306 from Auto Zone. I have a 97 Chevy Lumina 3.1.
Oh my goodness I’m so sorry about the MaF you can find one online for $80. All it takes is a screwdriver to replace it and maybe disconnecting the battery. Ugh... I hate mechanics... I’m not to familiar with all the codes and stuff but you might try putting some fuel injector cleaner in the gas tank. I replaced my own injector but it was really involved. You can buy injectors for around $100 for all 6 of them. If you have them do it it will probably be 4 hours labor which is around $400... so you’re looking at around a $500-$600 job for the mechanic. If the injector cleaner doesn’t work then replace within a few months. If you run bad injectors for a while it can possibly ruin your catalytic converter.
I paid 250 to have mibe replaced. The shop cleaned it and it ran worse. Cheap aftermsrket ones will cause Check engine light on.. youneed a Original GM one. Lots of cheap knock offs on e bay n amazon. Dont waste your money on them get GM ones
Did you have key in ignition and maybe the radio on? Disconnecting electrical parts while turning key half-way might turn the check engine light on. Simply disconnect positive terminal to the battery and leave off for about 1-2 minutes and then reconnect and then start your car. See if that clears the light. If not, you may need to get a code reader and clear the code yourself.
+Thomas Sanders Good Question! Not exactly sure right now but it is either to the PCV system or the EVAP control system. They both are just a supplemental system to keep the car environmentally friendly and running as long as possible. I will check into this for you. Do you have an email where I could send a picture when I the chance?

Anybody know where mass flow sensor is on a 92 lumina
It may not have one. Maybe only a MAP sensor
Can wd40 be used
Don’t know I probably wouldn’t chance it and ruin the sensors. Could cost up to $100 to replace it for just the part
