    You do not want to steep burdock since it is a thick woody root, you will barely extract anything out of the root that way.
    For roots and seeds you must simmer them on a low flame to really extract, you will know when the water turns reddish/ruddy. Yours was light brown.

      Thank you so much for your comment. I will make a salve and want to add burdock and I'm researching since 15mins on how to extract out of burdock and i want to use the warm infusion method but found nothing on it. I skipped through the video and just went to the comments and finally saw yours which was an instant confirmation to my idea. Thank you so much, have a great day 😇💚💚💚

      @@spelake5056 if you want to make a salve you don’t want to use a water based extraction.
      Water=spoilage
      You’d do best to make a tincture, which is an alcohol extraction (this will be the most potent kind of extract and has a shelf life of years)
      Use the burdock tincture in your salve instead of a tea/decoction.
      If you are concerned about using alcohol you can substitute it for vegetable glycerin

    Thanks for sharing, I'm learning about the plants that I have in my property and I'm feeling really blessed because I discovered that I have a lot of burdock growing, you can use the Root, leaf and pretty much the whole plant is eatable❤😊

    Not to be a bummer, but burdock root isn’t oil soluble meaning none of the benefits/vitamins will be extracted by the oil. This herb is water soluble.

      @ChellCandle; according to Google, if you use heat Burdock Root will infuse into oil.

    Thank you for sharing great tips on how to use this herb. Have a question? While the herb is in the process of infusion, do you need to shake every day? Thank you, God bless and stay safe 🙏🏽🤗

      You don't have to shake it daily. 2-3 times a week would be fine. Thanks for watching.

    Will it be beneficial if a man wants to use this Tea Rinse potion on his beard, or create a beard oil?

    Hi, I would just like to add that any root herbs need to be boiled not steaped. Boil for 3 minutes then let steal for 10 and then strain. Also, please get a battery for your smoke detector because the constant beeping in the video is a distraction. Thank you for the tips.
