This is an homage, not a rip off. Chad Stahlelski and David Leitch over the years have made it known how big of an influence the films of Walter Hill, in particular The Warriors have been on their careers.
The same people that scream "rip off " probably love Tarantino (as one should imo) And all of his movies are literally homages to 70s action and grind house movies he literally has said movies like "Mr no legs" are the stuff he was inspired by
The warriors and John wick take place in the same universe think about it Cyrus got his wish and United the gangs forming the high table over time the gangs became more civilized and developed their own currency it just makes sense
John Wick 4 Rips Off The Warriors! A Pale Reflection of a Mashup nearing an end of a good film for a 4th of the series...Lazy writing and lack of imagination can be the only reason for this scene...it is comical in the John Wick world and makes no sense, whereas in the movie The Warriors it fits like a glove!!
Isn't a rip off at all John wick was set in NYC at times as was the warriors and it's paying homage and a tribute to the warriors as they were in a very similar situation.
He’s being hunted by people on his way to a final goal, exactly like the warriors. Makes perfect sense. Shame this amazing reference was lost on your lack of imagination.
Or maybe... just maybe... it's called a REFRENCE. And it makes perfect sense in the John Wick world, since it's a world of assassins hidden in plain sight with the radio working as a way of telling other assassins where John is
What did they do? Count on watchers to have short memories? Blatant rip-off. Not the only movie they stole ideas from, also "Blind Fury" from 1989. Agreed, lazy writing and worst film of the series. Flushed this one right after we watched it.
Yet another Shit take. Chapter 4 was inspired by movies like the Warriors, Zatoichi and many more. Say you don't understand what it means to pay Homage without telling us you don't understand.
Anyone who takes the time and effort to be this accurate has some respect for the original
The Director Of Chapter 4 Chad Stahelski cited in an interview that The Warriors was the main Inspiration for the film.
This is an homage, not a rip off. Chad Stahlelski and David Leitch over the years have made it known how big of an influence the films of Walter Hill, in particular The Warriors have been on their careers.
They even cast the actor of Luther to play Charlie the Cleaner in the first movie

This isn't a rip off its a tribute to the warriors and NYC where John wick was also set at times
This is called paying homage not a rip off
That's what I said, too. As a homage, this is not the same thing as a rip-off( and even a rip-off can sometimes work depending on how it's done).
Bro has never heard of an homage before apparently. 💀
It couldn't have been a more clear homage to the Warriors.
Mr. Wiiick come out to play-ay! Mr. Wiiiiick come out to play-ayyyyy! Mr. Wiiiiiick come out to play-ayyyyyyyy!
I love this the warriors is my favorite movie
This is not a rip off. This is called paying respect to a classic.
I've not seen the franchise. Does John Wick soldier right through their territory?
You know it bopper!
How is it a ripoff? It’s more like paying Homage for the warriors
Nice rage bait, little baby
Its called a reference not rip off
The warriors and John wick take place in the same universe think about it Cyrus got his wish and United the gangs forming the high table over time the gangs became more civilized and developed their own currency it just makes sense
Es la mejor referencia
Yeap

Seems more like they paid homage. But you’re on here ranting with one other person 😂

Shit take from someone who's clearly a moron.
Rip off. At that point I shut the movie off and didn’t care how it ended
That's a shit take. The Director of Chapter 4 Chad Stahelski cited in an Interview that The Warriors was the primary inspiration behind the movie.

Change the title of this, it's absolutely wrong. Maybe next time do some research before you wrongly title something.
