Understanding this has made me feel so much peace. Not only that, but once i repented of the notion “i must do this/must not do this to be saved” the worry disappeared…and fruitful living became more natural, not forced. The fact (not feeling) that I’m saved encourages me to walk more closely to Christ. Doesnt mean I’m perfect by any means. And that’s the entire point. But understanding the extent of what Christs death and resurrection accomplished, has filled my house with true joy. And blessings began flowing to the point that I’m reduced to tears. He’s living and He hears us. I just don’t understand why people look at your teachings as heretical when they produce the fruit Jesus spoke of…

@@believer431 hey brother, you need to take what you can’t carry and lay it at the feet of Christ. His yolk is light and easy. And remember, if God will forgive you then you should forgive yourself:) You are not a porn addict, you are my brother in Christ and i rebuke any stronghold in Jesus name right now! Your God is loving, and right now i believe he wants you to give all your concerns and pain to Him❤️ please read Romans 7:15-20 and understand it’s not you that sin but the sin that lives in you. We will struggle with sin until the end, but if you trust in Jesus finished work for your salvation, you’ll see the fruit abound in your life and you’ll naturally start literally start sinning less, not as a means of salvation, but because your joy in the ONE who saved you once and for all and the spirit that He put in you when you believed. The spirit is in you, let is surface:) You are a new creation, that’s not a feeling, it’s a fact. Be at peace, and give yourself grace when you fall. Jesus had you in mind on the cross personally, and He said you are worth it. And He would do it again. Don’t listen to the pharisees, they’re scared of Gods judgement and they project their convictions on to others. And they don’t speak life into people, they speak condemnation and that is not of Christ. I love you man! Hang in there, Jesus is worth it i promise you.

You are correct once we are baptized in the Spirit it is done and sealed.
But the faithfulness (if that’s the word they are using, although I call it the “through” phase) happens before salvation not after
Before they looked at the serpent they went through a length of having to keep faith some made it some didn’t.
“O Timothy! Guard what was committed to your trust, avoiding the profane and idle babblings and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge- by professing it some have strayed concerning the faith. Grace be with you. Amen.”
    ‭‭I Timothy‬ ‭6‬:‭20‬-‭21‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
We are all given Grace. Our Faith is given in measures and Jesus increases it.
”For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.“
    ‭‭Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Our path to salvation is not us earning it because it is God that grows our faith and seals us when we are ready.
”And the apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.”“
    ‭‭Luke‬ ‭17‬:‭5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Just like he put his disciples through 3 years of training.
This has nothing to do with earning salvation because grace is a gift and faith is a gift as well.
All we need is faith the size of a mustard seed but God is the one that judges our heart and seals us.
It’s not earned by works it’s only faith but some the path to that faith for God to feel we are ready is his choice and it can be different lengths for different people.
Everyone has a testimony and what brought them to Christ. I’m sure everyone’s path to Christ isn’t the same length. People do fall off and turn away from the faith but this is before being sealed not after. Meaning there is a road to salvation. It’s not just saying the words I believe. God knows our hearts and who believes and who doesn’t.

    “divine gift- justification!
the most important term in a Christian’s vocabulary
and most believers can’t define it- that’s frustrating
cuz understanding this helps us resist the adversary
Christ spilled His capillaries; that’s why our savior can’t be Mary
that’s a burden only the God-Man can carry
in justification: God declares sinners to be righteous by grace alone, through faith alone

My understanding is we should confess our sins, not for our salvation, but after we are saved. Gal 6:7.
We are positionally "in Christ" but we are also in this flesh now, as Paul explained in Romans 7. We can measure if we are walking in the Spirit or after the flesh by the following verses Gal 5:16-23. As we should judge ourselves (1Cor 11:31), and confession is how we deal with it.

The interesting thing is that protestants believe that to be born again, it's merited by faith. You have to beleive in a particular thing or a certain amount for God to offer you salvation.
On the other hand, the Catholic Church teaches that to be born again, it's not merited by works or even faith. It's a pure gift from God that requires nothing of the individual. So that's truely looking at God's grace as a gift, even further than what protestants would say

    • @jamiegustkey2573
      @jamiegustkey2573 Месяц назад +8

No, 2 Samuel and 1 Chronicles do not teach that ongoing confession of sins is required for forgiveness. The concept of continual confession for forgiveness is not supported by the New Testament teachings on the finished work of Christ.
In the New Testament, we see that forgiveness is a once-for-all act accomplished through Jesus' sacrifice on the cross. Hebrews 10:10 states, "We have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all." Similarly, Hebrews 10:14 says, "For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy." These verses emphasize that Jesus' sacrifice was sufficient to cover all our sins-past, present, and future.
1 John 1:9, often misunderstood, is addressing those who deny their sinfulness. The context of 1 John 1:8-10 clarifies that it is about acknowledging our need for a Savior, not about a ritualistic confession to maintain forgiveness. Once we have accepted Christ, we are fully forgiven and cleansed (Colossians 2:13-14).
Therefore, as a believer, you are already forgiven and in perfect fellowship with God. There is no need to continually seek forgiveness for each sin to maintain your standing with Him. Instead, you can rest in the completeness of Christ's work on the cross and live out your new identity in Him (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Alright, here's my question; as Christ is faithful to us, shouldn't we also be faithful back? And what if we're not faithful back? What if we have no evidence of being born again? Now you might ask; what that evidence is, and I answer; of course it's not of works, but rather it's about your heart; the inward man, if you claim to believe yet have no inward transformation, regardless of or maybe because of what doctrines you believe in, can we say this individual is saved?
I ask this because prior to November of last year I had a situation where I thought an individual was saved but I now believe she wasn't, she was a type of narcissist who treated everybody terribly. Additionally, I have heard testimony of those who have died and been shown hell, of one such individual who was witnessed who outwardly was clean but inwardly was dirty - categorically a Pharisee - this individual who was witnessed was a woman who abused her children yet was esteemed in her community, where at first she thought she was in heaven with her family again, she went to grab some water, it turned to sand, and she was barraged by demons, realizing she was tricked; this individual clearly believed that the way she got into heaven was by doing good works, that was the core takeaway.
And so; this individual who I knew, I'm terrified of a similar outcome for her, and I think about her every single day. It seems evidently clear to me that certain mental instabilities aren't outright forgiven, necessarily because it's a choice of the individual to believe or not, so I suppose my question is this; how can we know somebody is a believer?
I suppose this question is simply deeply personal, I'm just struggling in my faith, trying to find an answer, yet finding no absolute satisfaction because my heart is torn on this person who I unfortunately found myself falling in love with, and love of this sort will unfortunately lead anyone a stray if it's with the wrong person, because love is blind to ugliness, or rather perhaps; that person leads someone astray, as well as love being blind to ugliness.

    • @titobandito8474
      @titobandito8474 Месяц назад

Hey, this is one of the most sincere questions I've ever read. I struggle with it too and have been reading deeply about it. You are not alone.
Like you, I wonder how anyone knows if they have been hypocrites like the Pharisees or an apostate like Judas. As sinners, we all can mess up big time.
I believe the answer is we will never fully understand from our perspective how loving and merciful God is. His will is so much more than we can ever fully understand because we are not like him. And that's not a cop-out. It's not a God of the gaps response. It's the truth.
But, we do have a very good sense of his nature, will and commandments for us. I also believe that salvation is guaranteed through faith and faith alone as the Bible says. Once you truly accept Jesus Christ as your savior, the debt is paid in full. Even if we mess up terribly and/or often.
A sign of true faith is repentance and a desire to have a relationship with God. So, while works don't save us, like James says, they are a sign of real faith. No matter what we do, or what others do to us, talk to God and ask for his will to be done. Put your faith in him that no matter what we understand, or don't, his plan is perfect and it's moving along. We may not see, know or understand it - at times it may even seem like he's not listening, but that's how Faith works - trust in God.
Imagine being Abraham and Sarah and not having kids for 40 years after being told it was coming and you're well into your 100s. Even though they messed that up God still made good on his promise to them and he's going to do the same for us.
As for your friend - remain loving and encourage her the same way to truly seek God's will through faithful prayer and worship. God will do the heavy lifting with the help of the Holy Spirit.
The fact that you worry about this and her salvation is a sign you truly care about your relationship with God as well as your friends. Now, (easier said than done) give your worries over to God and let Him take control. His response might not look the way you expect, or in the time frame you desire, but God knows exactly what needs to be done.
God bless you and your friend.

We all agree we should strive to do good works 100%! Not like the hypocrites works based salvationist who do works out of necessity. I know someone is going to take this out of context, so I want to be clear...
Faith and faith alone leads to salvation - 💯. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. Whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. PERIOD.
But (and its a big one) how many say they have faith, maybe even "believe" it because they've said it enough times, but don't actually mean it? A profession of faith does not necessarily equate to a possession of saving faith and there is biblical context for that.
The criminal on the cross essentially did everything wrong in life, but believed earnestly at the very end and received salvation through true saving faith. On the other hand, Judas professed faith, was a disciple, ministered to others, did miracles, followed Jesus and yet never actually had saving faith in Jesus. John 17:12 tells us he was lost and doomed to destruction.
But the key is that Judas didn't lose salvation - he never had the saving faith to receive it, despite what he said and what he did.
Why does Jesus give parable of the 4 types of soil - look at the explanation he gives to the disciples in Matthew 3:18-23. Why does Jesus warn of the lukewarm church he will spit out in Revelation 3:15-19? Why will many not make it through the narrow gate (Matthew 7:13-19) Why will Jesus say he never knew people at the seat of judgement? (Matthew 7:21-23). Why does he tell us we must repent even if we are already saved by faith?
It's not because we can lose salvation. That's not possible with real saving faith. But, people can mislead themselves and/or others with hypocritical, unconverted, pretend confessions of faith like Judas and the church of Laodicea (Revelation 3:14-21) and we should not encourage any lifestyle that could result in meaningkess profession of faith without sincere belief in it.
"Show me your faith without deeds, and I wll show you my faith by my deeds."
    -James

The term "save" in the NT doesn't necessarily equal eternal life. Salvation as mentioned in the NT is in three parts: Justification, sanctification, glorification. Justification (which to be born again resulting in a transformed life) is given through faith, but justification (although it is necessary to receive eternal life) doesn't necessarily equal eternal life - that is glorification. Glorification is granted to those who persist in doing God's will: Rom 2:6,7 and John 5:28,29.

      Romans 10:9-13
      King James Version
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

@@larryhoward-bk8tj what does it mean to believe? Don't be the parable that Jesus explains here where you know the knowledge but you don't obey ‭Matthew 13:3-33 KJV‬
[3] And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow; [4] and when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up: [5] some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth: [6] and when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away. [7] And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them: [8] but other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold. [9] Who hath ears to hear, let him hear. [10] And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables? [11] He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. [12] For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath. [13] Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. [14] And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; And seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: [15] For this people's heart is waxed gross, And their ears are dull of hearing, And their eyes they have closed; Lest at any time they should see with their eyes, And hear with their ears, And should understand with their heart, And should be converted, and I should heal them. [16] But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear. [17] For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them. [18] Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower. [19] When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side. [20] But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; [21] yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended. [22] He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful. [23] But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. [24] Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: [25] but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. [26] But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. [27] So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? [28] He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? [29] But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. [30] Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn. [31] Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field: [32] which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof. [33] Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.

@@NovaMarie-xs9pu ephesians 1:13-14. Romans 10:9-13, john 6:38-40. The list goes on. see the problem is you people try to redefine what faith is. The people who just simply hear are not doers of the word, so ofc they cant be saved. The people who hear and believe are the ones who are saved because they obeyed the Gospel.

@@larryhoward-bk8tj again we're going with the concept of believing let me explain it to you like this you believe in gravity cuz if you jump off a bridge you'll die but if you don't want to believe the teachings of gravity you'll jump off the bridge and try to convince a bunch of people that you'll still live so look believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and obey they didn't have to put obey because obeying and believing was literally the same thing why would they put the same thing in the same sentence that makes no sense so of course they're not going to say obey but believing is obeying anyone that has two cents can understand that but you are like the parable Jesus said knowing the truth and hearing the truth but not walking in the truth the seeds on the Wayside may God rebuke your prideful heart
