This, at one time, was part of the Rock Island Railroad and ran all the way to Little Rock. Now the line terminates a mile past the Tyson facility on the east side of Waldron.

@@scotthayes4135 Isn't this the former Arkansas Western line located several miles south of the parallel mostly abandoned *_Rock Island_* Memphis-Tucumcari east-west mainline that served Little Rock, El Reno, and Oklahoma City en route? The abandoned Rock Island main ran through the western Arkansas towns of Hartford, Mansfield, Booneville, and through Howe, Oklahoma along the way. The former Arkansas Western line in this video runs from Heavener, Oklahoma through Forrest City, and continues east through Bates and Hon, Arkansas to Waldron, running a few miles to the south of the parallel abandoned Rock Island main. _Kansas City Southern_ controlled the former Arkansas Western for most of the 20th century, leasing it to Watco in the early 1990s. Watco has operated it as part of its *Arkansas Southern* subsidiary ever since.
Years ago I passed thru Waldron, AR and the Arkansas Southern was tied down near the McDonald's, like your video, it was raining.
There's a small yard east of the Tyson Foods facility. That's probably where the locomotives sat while the cars were switched at the feed mill.

Is grain the only thing that's transported on this line?
I believe so
That means if the mill in Waldron ever closes for good service on the line will stop for good.
Most likely
Waldron needs to open up some more industries that can make use of this line. Like maybe a scrap metal yard.
