Glad im not the only one who noticed the insane g2a price. Theyre so cheap on ebay for good quality second hand ones, even from retailers with warranty
Hornby seem to have done absolutely nothing with Oxford since they acquired them. At the moment Oxford Rail's website list lots of products, almost all of which are "out of stock". If Oxford go bust after being cut loose it will hardly make any difference as things currently stand, but if they flourish it will be good for the hobby.
I’m honestly a bit disappointed Sam, you missed a few fairly substantial updates this month: Rails of Sheffield posted samples of multiple Hornby products coming soon, like the flirt and the salmon flatbeds, as well as a new version of the 153. Accurascale announced a brand new locomotive as well! It’s an Irish prototype this time, is that why you didn’t mention it? Ellis Clark also shared an update on their quad art coaches, which are highly expensive but seem reasonable in the face of bachmanns newest coach range.
What the H E double hockey sticks is the idea of a coach costing more than $137 without lighting! Does it have a motor or possibly a DCC chip? I never liked Bachmann. Jersey Bill
So. Fairy lights trumps accuracy for you guys? The point of these coaches is that they are accurate models of an under-represented but incredibly important Pre-Grouping railway company. The LNWR. The Premier Line, for those that don’t know about this very important period in British/World railway history.
@ i think it’s LED lights and £35 minimum saving that trumps ‘accuracy’ tbh, the hornby coronations have ‘fairy lights’ incredibly accurate and a few new decorating technologies in them and cost about £50 cheaper for a pair… hornby get stick for pricing but bachmann are far worse
Honestly if you want ancient Bachmann stock try the Clark Railworks stand at a show. There are locos for £50-£80 that pretty much come from the same tooling. Plus i got my hands on a rarity from them.
Great episode as ever Sam. Bachmann's prices are ridiculous! But at least the ex-Mainline 8750 and 56XX are cheap enough to be semi reasonable. I still cant believe they see fot to reintroduce them though! Also, the Accurascale P class are due 22nd November - I cant wait for my Bluebell! The Beilhacks look great, very tempted I must admit. I cant be the only kne though who thinks KR Models response was unnecessarily brief and rude (re delivery dates) surely?
Thanks my friend - yeah the prices aren't toooo bad, but maybe they could've been better. Should be great to see the Ps back too! :D Thanks for watching - Sam :)
On the topic of Bachmann Mk1s, I’d shop second hand, sometimes Clark Railworks will have a rake of four for £100, it depends on what they get of course. I managed to get a rake, and the only difference between those and my newer Mk1s I got in a train set is that the couplings were closer on the old ones. (And the livery, Crimson and Cream as opposed to Maroon). So, it’s worth shopping around for high quality second hand as opposed to paying almost 60 quid for a single new one. (Although, if you want Commonwealth Bogies you will have to bow to Bachmann’s outrageous pricing).
Just for comparison to a £109 coach: the Lionel congressional dining car is $499.99 USD, the two car add on is $599.99, the four car set $1299.99 (£395, £475, and £1029 respectively) and yes, the thoughts on prices are the same. (Admittedly the coaches are extruded aluminum)
@caw25sha O vision line, so always going to be expensive. But it's interesting. And just a boring add: I earn around 14 times what I did 40 years ago, petrol was around a quarter of the price it is now, so it was expensive back then, and a 100 pound coach in perspective should have cost about 6 quid back then, and it would've still been way too expensive... I still remember my first pay check!
£109.95 for a coach?! It should be made of real wood and iron for that price! As for Accurascale, unfortunately they're in my bad books at the moment. I received my first locomotives from them- two of the former Hattons Andrew Barclays- and both of them didn’t work on arrival. The tabs holding the motor in had insufficient retention, so within the first few minutes of running, the worm drive stopped meshing with the gears completely! The fiddly process of dismantling them to fix this was a nightmare (dyspraxia and small parts, my favourite combination), and then it turned out there was a fault with the coupling rods contacting the running board on one, so it had to go back! Not a good first impression, makes me wonder if I should stick with my other pre-orders from them... Anyway, thanks for a great video as always Sam!
I know - it's bonkers - I for one will be passing at the full price! Yes I've heard a lot about the faulty ABs - I've got mine but probably won't get round to it until the new year - don't blame you for not being impressed... don't remember it being an issue with the Hatton's ones! Thanks for watching - Sam :)
@SamsTrains don't blame you at all, I thought over £60 for a coach was bad, but this takes the cake! As for the ABs, it is a real shame, as they are beautifully presented locos but unfortunately I need them to move! Interesting that you never had the issue with the Hattons ones... maybe Accurascale changed the mechanism design? Anyway, thanks for your reply! :)
And this is why I never buy new Bachmann models. Those coach prices are a joke. I can't see many people insane enough to buy them until they go on sale. Especially when you consider not just the Rapido evolution coaches, with lights and detailed interiors but also: - Clarks Railworks quads which again have lights, detailed interiors and a set costs £80/coach. - Hornby's LMS Coronation coaches which have been out for some time and you can currently get for £40 which have lights and good detail. - Hornby's new LNER coronation coaches (just got mine today). They're by no means cheap, but a steal compared to Bachmann with lights, detailed interiors and come in high quality boxes. The RRP is now £140 for a pack of two, but you can use voucher codes and get reward points which works out as about £107 for a pack of two coaches (If they have any left). N.B. The RRP for these went up TWICE which is a bit naughty. From £100 to £125 to £140 but are still a lot cheaper than Bachmann P.S. On the subject of coaches as far as I know nobody bought the tooling for Hattons Genesis coaches. (If anyone knows differently please say). That's a real shame but also an opportunity missed if the absolutely insane prices these are selling for on Ebay are any indication - sometimes as much, if not more than Bachmanns new coaches!😬 I'm surprised Rapido didn't buy the tooling with all their new pre-grouping locos which they'd be a perfect match with and a good compliment to the Evolutions.
1:19 It's worth noted that the 'Tin Cars' have been available for a little while direct from the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railways' Shop, which I think is a nice touch from Bachmann in allowing the railway that owns the prototypes to get the first bite of the sale of the models.
Great news episode sam! Love the new accurascale snowploughs, and ive got to say the t3 does look great, despite it being efe! Bope your well sam, have a good one :)
Miss me? I've really got nothing to say on the subject. However, at my end, my N Gauge railway is now working. All it took was a new Bachmann track controller from ebay, and a cable with N Gauge track powerclips from Cheltenham Model Centre online.
£110 for a single coach? You can typically get a set of three for under $100 from Athearn or Walthers here in the states. Depends on livery, of course. Lesser-known and/or local commuter railways usually cost more than, say, Amtrak.
Good range of articles here Sam, first off great to hear back from you on my reply to your twitter APT post, onto the models though as I said yesterday on the livestream comment section the KR Bulleid Leader is not to far of now so hopefully I will have that before Christmas, if things had worked out though today I would have received my LNER coronation coaches, I have got coming all 4 packs of the articulated ones and the observation car is coming in the next few days, as I say I could have had them today but unfortunately my delivery of them got rescheduled by the people who are delivering them. Great to see the beilhacks back, I was going to order hattons ones before they shut down and were cancelled as a result.
Thanks a lot David - ahh yeah that was very impressive, loved seeing the APT! That's great too, hope the coaches are good! Thanks for watching - Sam :)
I’m certainly thinking about what trains I want, but I very much like the new T3 that Bachmann Exclusive First Edition brought out at their Swanage Railway Club Day.
Although I already knew about these because I belong to the Bachmann Collectors Club. I’m probably not going to get anything this side of Christmas, but might look for getting some just after Christmas.
To be honest Sam I was a little bit excited when bachmann were bringing the 8750 back into the range, especially the BR lined verson. I don't know that might just be me lol. Cheers Jasper & Willow
The only thing I wanted from Bachmann with these "reduced" prices from Rails was a 94XX that I had been wanting in GWR Green but settled for Early BR Black. The EFE Rail T3 does look like it will be a solid model though and I think I will end up getting one when they do launch.
My Canadian Dollars are getting hit hard with all their new announcements! Already preordered P Class, Jones Goods, 57xx class, Class 28 CoBo, 01 class in Bluebell fictional livery, Evolution coaches, and the 48/5800 GWR!
You think that Bachmann would listen to the customers, I am interested in the current UK railways rolling stock and locomotives. When it comes to accurascale, their prices are the same on their site, and the retailers
However if buying direct from Accurascale you also get reward points, though it's only 1% compared to Hornby's 15% and it's nice to support your local retailer if you can.
The question is people wanting to pay for quality or not. B's always come out without any issues whilst all the others always do have quality niggles and flaws. B clearly stands for high consistency and precision. Such comes at a price Sam. Buyers into quality production would prefer B we presume whilst others into economy raise eyebrows at B. Very much the same story for buyers in continental Europe always complaining about high prices for Märklin/Trix, Roco and PIKO, not to mention HAG and Brawa. Flip side is pure high consistent quality and no fuzz whatsoever. Different buyers for different expectations perhaps. Cheerio.
I’m looking to get the 517 with Collett cab. It looks very close to the 1400 but only slightly older. Really excited to see how they turn out, and I can’t wait to see the 1400s as well. Speaking of, Sam, you know if you get Dapol’s 1401 plus the Rapido tramcar, you could do a Titfield Thunderbolt running session!
Honestly so much of this looked pretty good aside from Bachmann trying to sell single coaches for probably about $130 USD, I’d love to get some of these but I don’t really know how the guys at the club would feel about them and I don’t have anywhere at home to run them. That Chocolate lined 517 looks really good if I’m gonna be honest. On a side note since you’ve been reviewing a good amount of American stuff this year have you thought about making a model rail news for the North American brands? The stuff may be much more expensive than what the UK stuff does but I think it’d be interesting to see what you have to say about them
Thoughts ... [1] Are Bachmann channelling the Mike Ashley era of Hornby? £100+ coaches with NO lighting? Cue the Celebrity Squares "No No" buzzer ... [2] The EFE T3s ... wait, *all metal* ??? Nice. Love in addition the 5 pole motor, flywheel AND extra bearings! [3] Dapol 0-4-2 tanks ... Lined Chocolate? Just thought briefly it would be amusing if Lindt made an actual chocolate version ... [4] Rapido Evolution coaches ... with lighting? Hilarious if they're cheaper than Bachmann's!
Hornby's just released Coronation coaches are a relative "bargain" compared to those lovely but eye-wateringly expensive Bachmann coaches (especially as the Hornby ones have lights). I cannot justify buying either by the way!
Well Bachmann has been unsatisfying this month, but I’ve got to say the LNWR carriages are impressive despite the ginormous price which is ridiculous. On a happier note, those GWR 0-4-2 tanks are incredibly impressive and the chocolate one is eye opening for me and that made it had to go for, what do you think?
Yep have difficulties with the direct from company- accurascale reeled me in for a second batch 37 gfya but tbh there are cheaper brand new ebay versions donating profits to 37 preservation groups- a moral dilemma!
Bachmann's prices are horrific. Just no excuse for it when other manufacturers are matching (or beating) them for quality and offering much better value. I was trying to pick up some of their HRA hopper wagons and can't find them for much less than £60 each. At the same time I've been able to get some of Accurascale's cutdown HYAs for £70 a pair.
Hi Sam, £110 for 1 coach!!! Christ!! I thought £150rrp for one arctic pair of coronation coaches was dear. They have lighting and are great models. Ross
Bachman’s announcements were honestly the most exciting. An LNWR Super D, a new Bachmann Midland 1P, LNWR coaches and progress on EFE’s T3. For a pre-grouping fan like me, that’s the sort of news I love to hear.
Exactly. If you are a fan of mucky BR blue diesels and/or just like collecting pretty-looking, quaint locos, then paying those prices for Pre-Grouping models might seem silly. But if you actually crave, accurate, pre-grouping models of under-represented railways, then you will pay the prices.
Hornby Buying Oxford never made any sense. Competing with its own Corgi and Hornby Model Railway brands. All while the company was only just breaking even. Hornby also have license’s they could sell off like Lima. Personally I’d love to see the Railroad range rebranded as Lima, and Lima to also reenter N Gauge. One other thing. I run a little used model railway shop. Iv had some new Accurascale JSA Steel coil wagons in…. Sadly I think there a bit problematic. They are extremely fragile. They make Heljan seem sturdy. They also came with lots parts that had come off in the box. Despite the boxes never being opened. Seeing your 31 video a few weeks back. Is there standard dropping? In a different note. Lovely to see you supporting Smiths. They are local to me. While I guess we do compete on the used model side. They are great shop and do so much to support two of the heritage railways in Norfolk I volunteer on. I may well go and get a wagon tomorrow when I’m in Sheringham.
I said a long time ago Sam that Bachmann were ripoff merchants, I haven't bought for a very very long time a Bachmann loco wagon, coach, or what ever, ever ever, again. they take the Pxxx .
Great video Sam, hopefully these new models will be worth it.I have another question, since I am new to model railway stuff would you say Hornby’s terrier train pack is worth it? I found one for 149.99 pounds
Thanks Ryan - yeah fingers crossed! Yeah I think that's a fair price for the Hornby Terrier pack - the loco's worth about £100, and the Era 2 coaches are worth £20-£30 Thanks for watching - Sam :)
I saw the bachmann pann7ervrank announcement and laughed. There is no way I'm going to buy one with the new and feature packed Accurascale ones coming out.
Can't wait to get the T3 as it my favourite engine in the UK. Will be getting two of the Preservation ones to run. And one in a display case. Would love if Smith's Model Railways did an OO scale as looks well better than Hornby Christmas wagon. Do agree Bachmann needs to stop bringing back old models. But the narrow gauge wagon and LNWR coaches look amazing. But the price is not that good from Bachmann only good one was T3 from EFE rail. But I did like the look of Dapol 517 Class 524 Lined GWR Chocolate mice to see train not in BR green or black. Can't wait to get the Rapido Highland Railway ‘Jones Goods’ 4-6-0 in HR yellow and Port of Par Bagnall - ‘Alfred’ in Yellow (As Preserved).
Well maybe the retailers could cut there profit margin a bit without going broke then people would buy and support them its about time retailers helped us out instead of being greedy.
I assume it's a Hornby one? Not a model I can personally recommend based on the models I reviewed, though they're certainly decent looking! Thanks for watching - Sam :)
Interesting that when Bachmann rereleases models with a ridiculously high price tag, people are understandably upset and complain about the prices. But when Hornby does the same, people (RMweb) will defend them to the death and decry legitimate criticism of prices as “Hornby Bashing season”. But its never Bachmann Bashing Season is it? Curious…
Having built and painted LNWR coach kits, the amount of time and effort that went into just painting the things, £100+ is a bargain! That includes the 'cheap' option Ratio (now Peco) kits of the same coaches. I'd honestly rather pay up for an rtr coach than EVER have to go through that nightmare of building and painting these things.
Interesting round up and market analysis. But I think you are really too harsh on Bachmann on this occasion, in a way which betrays a lack of appreciation of how Pre-Grouping modellers feel about the offer available to them. Committed LNWR modellers have been struggling for decades with a handful of very old kits or having to scratchbuild locos, coaches or wagons, and then in the last few years, the Coal Tank and Precedent come along, but in coaching stock, all we are offered are Genesis and Evolution generic coaches. Then Bachmann come along with ACCURATE bogie coaches, in what looks like is going to be a superb rendition of that sumptuous but almost impossible to reproduce in 4mm scale, livery. And we are ecstatic. We don’t give a flying fancy about the lack of lighting, for goodness sake! Yes, the price is a bit eye-watering, though nobody pays the rrp do they? But they are niche models and VERY welcome and exciting. So we don’t care a jot if the “let’s buy a pretty model in funny colours and with a funny big tall chimney and run it as a heritage special curiosity on our generic 1935-2024 themed train set” brigade think it’s a bit too expensive or useless because it doesn’t have lights. You are also being very inconsistent by suggesting that people should pay thirty quid more for an up to date and accurate Pannier Tank but suggesting that the non-accurate Evolution coaches in LNWR livery are a better buy than the actual, accurate versions. And yes, the re-released G2 is now basically a relatively long in the tooth model, but it’s being released in LNWR livery, making that now a grand total of three, yes, THREE, RTR locos representing the biggest railway company in the world prior to 1923. And the Midland 0-4-4T is also released in a completely new version. So, I say, hats off to Bachmann, for actually pushing the boat out and supporting pre-Grouping modellers. Keep up the good work!
Bachmann's announcements are a bit of a flop, sadly. I was hoping for another 009 narrow gauge loco or another run of quarry Hunslets. We definitely need another batch of them.
I get all my coaches second hand, if you shop around and are careful to avoid those in poor condition you can put together a couple of 3 coach rakes for the price of one of those, just mad!
Let's see, what's in Bachmann's winter range... Regurgitated hunks of Old Tat Dodgy stocking fillers A peculiarly oldfangled tank engine with a farcically anemic three pole motor from back when synthesizer was in nearly everyone's ears.
I will say it again. "who the hell is buying Bachmann?. These prices are ridiculous. Is anyone really buying their Mk1 coaches or thinking about buying these coaches at over £100 each?.
Tt120 and basset lowcke probably quietly dropped next year, and era 1 slimmed down, hopefully, but if a deal with Elon musk appears, the reintroduction of Battlespace!😅
There are some negative signs, but in my last job I used to have to check the accounts of various businesses and the publicly available info for Hornby isn't sufficient to draw any hard conclusions, especially if they have clever accountants. On the positive side they've invested a lot of money in recent years on HM7000, TT and the Wonderworks which suggests they might not be quite as bad as some people think. Much of that is one off costs which will have made their accounts look worse than perhaps they really are. We also don't know the breakdown of the various companies within the Hornby group. I suspect some are doing better than others, it would be interesting to see how each was doing on an individual basis, so whilst the trend of the last few years of overall loses is of concern it needs to be looked at in the context of all the above.
Again, Sam is falsely accusing Rapido of not having NEM pockets on their Y7. They DO. The problem is that Sam does not understand NEM standards, nor the meaning of the word 'pocket'. My Y7 came with NEM standard 'pockets', and I had NEM Kadees on it within 5 mins Same owes Rapido an apology.
Stop with this nonsense - the Y7 DOES NOT have NEM pockets. I understand NEM standards perfectly. Google "NEM Pocket", observe, and tell me again the Y7 has them... they don't! Thanks for watching - Sam :)
@@SamsTrains You mean I imagined I fitted my Kadees? 😅 There is more than one type of NEM 'pocket' - the Y7 has the triangular one. Read the NEM standards for heaven's sake. If I was Rapido I would demand an apology.
Glad im not the only one who noticed the insane g2a price. Theyre so cheap on ebay for good quality second hand ones, even from retailers with warranty
Yeah it's just a joke - mine cost me way below £100!
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
most other re-release models are similar too

Before Christmas could mean, Christmas 2025
hahaha this is true!
Wish bachmann would do a rerun if their guarry hunslets in 009. They were released not too long ago but they are now harder to find than a unicorn.
Absolutely!
The EFE T3 steam locomotive is just beautiful. There is definitely something about the design of these engines.

Someone put £20 in the almost swear jar 🤣 but yeah I agree it suck’s
I know... bonkers isn't it? At that price it should have every possible feature... and by the looks of things it doesn't!
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
I was so excited for the M&GN set for these but saw at £80 each that’s more than the coronations… which are fantastic and light up
So. Fairy lights trumps accuracy for you guys? The point of these coaches is that they are accurate models of an under-represented but incredibly important Pre-Grouping railway company. The LNWR. I have wanted a T3 for so long and was going to kitbass one from an Adams radial chassis, thank you EFE Rail.

Yep. I picked up 6 Bachman crimson & cream Mk1s on Ebay all for between £15-25.

I'm really excited about that one too! Bet the real thing is lovely

To be honest Sam I was a little bit excited when bachmann were bringing the 8750 back into the range, especially the BR lined verson. I don't know that might just be me lol.
Cheers Jasper & Willow
Yeah true - but Accurascale's will be much better!
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
The only thing I wanted from Bachmann with these "reduced" prices from Rails was a 94XX that I had been wanting in GWR Green but settled for Early BR Black. The EFE Rail T3 does look like it will be a solid model though and I think I will end up getting one when they do launch.
I really can't wait for the Dapol 2800 Sam, it's certainly been a while since we've heard any updates from them.
Cheers Jasper & Willow
Me too actually - will be great to see one of those produced to modern standards :D
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
Something that hasn't had much fanfare but which is starting to appear here is the Bachmann OO9 Fletcher Jennings loco 'Talyllyn'
My Canadian Dollars are getting hit hard with all their new announcements! Already preordered P Class, Jones Goods, 57xx class, Class 28 CoBo, 01 class in Bluebell fictional livery, Evolution coaches, and the 48/5800 GWR!
You think that Bachmann would listen to the customers,
I am interested in the current UK railways rolling stock and locomotives.
When it comes to accurascale, their prices are the same on their site, and the retailers
Yeah absolutely - the whole fake RRP thing is a bit old fashioned and annoying now!
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
Ahh fantastic - looking amazing aren't they? Fingers crossed they're decent!
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
Awesome video Sam
Thank you Brian!
@SamsTrains you're welcome Sam 😊 🙏 🤗 ☺️
Are you looking forward to the new accurascale announcement 😊
Always!!
I wish there was a bigger market for g scale and gauge 1, would you include these scales in your model railway news, Sam?
Yeah absolutely - I'd love to look at those one day!
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
Hello Sam has there been any news on the Oxford Rail Break Down Crain that was muted about two years ago and shown earlier this year?
Yep have difficulties with the direct from company- accurascale reeled me in for a second batch 37 gfya but tbh there are cheaper brand new ebay versions donating profits to 37 preservation groups- a moral dilemma!
Bachmann's prices are horrific. Just no excuse for it when other manufacturers are matching (or beating) them for quality and offering much better value. I was trying to pick up some of their HRA hopper wagons and can't find them for much less than £60 each. At the same time I've been able to get some of Accurascale's cutdown HYAs for £70 a pair.
Hi Sam,
£110 for 1 coach!!! Christ!! I thought £150rrp for one arctic pair of coronation coaches was dear.
They have lighting and are great models.
Ross
Thanks Ross - yeah it's over the top isn't it... crazy!
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
Bachman’s announcements were honestly the most exciting. An LNWR Super D, a new Bachmann Midland 1P, LNWR coaches and progress on EFE’s T3. For a pre-grouping fan like me, that’s the sort of news I love to hear.
Yep there was certainly a lot there - and the 1ps are very decent too!
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
I agree! The price of the coaches is silly but I’m really looking forward to the return of the 1P and T3!!
Exactly. If you are a fan of mucky BR blue diesels and/or just like collecting pretty-looking, quaint locos, then paying those prices for Pre-Grouping models might seem silly. But if you actually crave, accurate, pre-grouping models of under-represented railways, then you will pay the prices.
never mind new pannier tanks, i'm holding on to my triang-hornby one, it does the job and looks good,we are all playing with toy trains,
haha very true - they'll never let you down!
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
Have you gotten your hands on the coronation set? Review coming? Surprised you didn’t mentioned them as they have arrived and they’re fantastic
Have you gotten your hands on the coronation set? Review coming?
I said a long time ago Sam that Bachmann were ripoff merchants, I haven't bought for a very very long time a Bachmann loco wagon, coach, or what ever, ever ever, again. they take the Pxxx .
Great video Sam, hopefully these new models will be worth it.I have another question, since I am new to model railway stuff would you say Hornby’s terrier train pack is worth it? I found one for 149.99 pounds
Thanks Ryan - yeah fingers crossed! Yeah I think that's a fair price for the Hornby Terrier pack - the loco's worth about £100, and the Era 2 coaches are worth £20-£30
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
What’s the best model for under £20? Asking for Christmas
6/10 video, very good quality editing and filming but I sustained major injury after falling off my chair at 4:34 lol
Hahaha sincere apologies for any injury sustained… happy to cover any medical bills 😂
@ 😂
Amazing news sam
Thanks Justin! :D
Well maybe the retailers could cut there profit margin a bit without going broke then people would buy and support them its about time retailers helped us out instead of being greedy.
At this point Accurascale should start making starter set and they can replace hornby as the most known 00 scale manufacturers
Blimus!! The prices of these items isn’t even comparable with Accurascale!! Accurascale is currently the cheapest AND best model locomotives!!
Stick with my mainline railways panier😆😆
haha absolutely!
The Beilhack is back!
Thoughts on the Locomotion Models Eric Treacy Black 5? I was thinking of getting one
Curious…
Now I’ll finally be able to buy Duck and Daisy in shops. Also have you seen Stanley’s model yet?
Absolutely!! I don't think I did - he looking good?
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
@ yep he certainly is.
I cannot wait for the port of par twins!
Same 😊😊
I know - they're looking great too!
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
@@SamsTrainsThanks! I always appreciate your monthly updates
Now I’m just waiting to see someone get these and make Bill and Ben
Saw m&gnr coaches and thought "Yes, I'm getting some"
Then I heard the price.
I'm suddenly not as interested anymore, for some strange reason.
Totally agree. Also, in these days of “Genesis” and “Evolution” coaches, there is a premium on actual, accurate models.
I think so too - yeah not much in the way of OO9 locos at the moment!
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
And here I sit, still waiting for someone to announce a reasonably-priced Collett Goods made to modern standards...
How are you today Sam? 😊
I'm great thanks mate how are you?
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
@ I’m good thanks Sam!! ;D
Bachmann gonna start dropping in quality and still increase in price watch this space im predicting it now
haha hopefully not - they're finished if the models aren't perfect at these prices!
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
Who in the right mind would sell a single coach without lighting for such a high price I wouldn't pay this much for a single couch
I get all my coaches second hand, if you shop around and are careful to avoid those in poor condition you can put together a couple of 3 coach rakes for the price of one of those, just mad!
Let's see, what's in Bachmann's winter range...
Regurgitated hunks of Old Tat
Dodgy stocking fillers
A peculiarly oldfangled tank engine with a farcically anemic three pole motor from back when synthesizer was in nearly everyone's ears.
15:35 "They don't show the livery".
You mean that's not the livery? 😂
Bachmann have been reading the Hornby "how to rip off your customers" manual.
haha I think so too!!
I think bachmann are going down the same road as hornby with ridiculous prices. For ancient stock.
For me when I convert it those coaches would be 195 canadian
haha yep... bonkers!
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
Don't Bachmann don't !!
How are you and chloe sam?
We're good thanks Jack - how are you?
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
A bit disappointing no new Era1 Sam's train wagons announcements…🤔
i am still waiting an K2 and AN REAL E2 class
I will say it again. "who the hell is buying Bachmann?. These prices are ridiculous. Is anyone really buying their Mk1 coaches or thinking about buying these coaches at over £100 each?.
5:19 are bachmann trying to massively inflate the OO and to an extent the N gauge market?
11:52 pun intended?
haha always!!
Tt120 and basset lowcke probably quietly dropped next year, and era 1 slimmed down, hopefully, but if a deal with Elon musk appears, the reintroduction of Battlespace!😅
Bachmann blew me away alright, at how greedy they are.
Yeah the price of those coaches seems excessive!
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
@@SamsTrainsNo problem and Rapido now seem to be the cheapest option too.
A waste of a valuable production slot doing the tired old Bachmann pannier
I think hornby will go bankrupt like if you agree
They certainly seem to be on thin ice!
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
My Y7 came with NEM standard 'pockets', and I had NEM Kadees on it within 5 mins
Same owes Rapido an apology.
@@andrewemery4272 I've got to say, I raised the same point on the y7 video
Stop with this nonsense - the Y7 DOES NOT have NEM pockets. I understand NEM standards perfectly. Google "NEM Pocket", observe, and tell me again the Y7 has them... they don't!
Thanks for watching - Sam :)
@@SamsTrains hmm, I did Google it and you appear to be correct sam - sorry!
@@SamsTrains You mean I imagined I fitted my Kadees? 😅
There is more than one type of NEM 'pocket' - the Y7 has the triangular one. Read the NEM standards for heaven's sake. If I was Rapido I would demand an apology.
I had some dealings with K.R. models. Keith is very arrogant and doesn't listen to advice. They get what they deserve!
