    everybody talking bad about the lack of ultimate precision has never worked on old machinery, lots of shims to get tolerances right.....and given that these cranks are for large compressors, even the throw angles can be off several degrees and still work fine

    For the price of a pair of safety glasses, is it really worth losing an eye and being left unable to work and provide for your family?.... The management of this company should be ashamed to allow it's employees to work without even basic safety protection.... To put this video on RUclips for the world to see is just beyond words.

      Lol, you think they only make one a day? Look at the actual bench faces and cutting heads, they are all in good condition and oiled, even I they are older than both of us put together.
      I would guess they are on per piece rate, so fluffing around to make yourself feel better is an expensive hobby when you could be knocking out the next part.
      Dont worry the swarf will be collected for scrap and in the crucible by the time these guys are having breakfast the next morning. @and9290

    On a crankshaft, measurements taken without at least a micrometer will soon cause the engine on which it will be installed, many problems... or at least a shorter life.

    • @Pakistani-Hands
      @Pakistani-Hands  Месяц назад +1

      This is agreed. But here this man manufacture crankshafts for different machines used in factories and mills and they had done it for more than 40 years and they got zero complaints up-till now. So these are experts in what they do and had got a super master skills. Also they do take measurements on different compasses and micrometers. There job would be incomplete without these measuring instruments. May be you have skipped that part of measurement of crankshaft in this video.

      Seems like you have got good information regarding making of crankshafts. Here in this video the crankshaft is measured and a sketch was drawn before the process. This expert man use different types of measuring instruments during the manufacturing process of crankshaft. The supplying of coolant inside crankshaft takes another process and that is not covered in this video.
