Interesting that you didn't feel the need to mention the GR badge as one certainly would for the yaris 😉
Extremely planted in the dry, I'm guessing keeping esc etc on?
I'm sure that even if so, it's a totally different beast once the heavens open up!
Did you get the chance to experience it when raining?
Well done toyota for offering a manual soon too!
I've always liked the looks and rarity and being part bmw, especially in straight 6 is no bad thing imo.
High praise indeed re steering sharpness being similar to ferrari 👍

I realised that when I was editing it! The Supra doesn't really need it, you know it's sporty and quick. The GR Yaris is far more leftfield, taking something mundane and making it extraordinary. It needs the 'GR' introduction!
Yeah, esc on. Even in sport it doesn't go, though. The rear end was more lovely in normal mode, oddly. Nothing outrageous, just a bit more twitchy. It didn't rain when I had it but I'm sure it would've been a different story.
The steering was very sharp, minor adjustments were all it took to change direction. The whole set up works really well.

@@MilesAheadMotoring Perhaps the esc settings are the wrong way around? Bizarre, otherwise!
You certainly had many positive views.
I agree, the GR badge is arguably not necessary.
I haven't anally researched the supra re actual GR input. It certainly has been highly advertised re their input into the GR4 however, lol.
The GR logo is being pushed into most models now, but as GRSport!🥱🥱🥱
Sport is written at the bottom of the rear badge but, certainly in the case of the new yaris GRSport that I saw the other day, the front badge is solely GR, lol...
The same as Sline audi, Rline golf, Rdesign volvo, STline fiesta, Nline i30 etc etc etc etc
Basically a sheep in wolf's clothing but priced far too high!!

@@James-RJM It was to do with the suspension setting, I think. It was firmer in sport which made it a little more planted, whereas it was a touch looser in normal. I'm sure the esc would've kicked in much sooner in normal, too.
That's the way of the world now! Put the aggressive/more desirable badging on and try to shift more units. I'm not sure how much input GR could've had with the Supra, given the BMW partnership which necessitates certain componentry. It's not like the Yaris which they totally overhauled. I get the impression the GR badging on the Supra is all part of the brand recognition and marketing to make it more desirable on cars further down Toyota's ladder. "Oh look, it's got the same sporty badge as the Supra..."
