iPhone is unfortunately not superior... yet, the amount of features that is exclusive to Android just keeps me from switching. I do use a MacBook, but still have a Windows laptop and PC. OneUI for Samsung just completely outclass IOS in a number of ways that just means switching feels like a tremendous downgrade. The camera on the iPhone is noticeably worse (for me) and the Spen is essential along with Samsung Notes (I use it in conjunction with my tab S7+ and S8 U).

How do you transfer files between the Mac and the Samsung ?
I've ordered one S23 Ultra and is coming tomorrow, but my girlfriend's old Samsung S9 was real pain... we were unable to open it on the Mac, unless we pay for some crapware software like 30-40$ or rely on the Samsung garbage software for backups, then once you backup all 128GB's, you need to manually go through the files.
In general this is my greatest fear and will be possible reason to return the device at some point.

@Andres Vidoza outside of air pods and my old ipod, I didnt own any other apple device. So it wasnt very hard at all. Samsung offers alot of similar features like air drop and seamless connection for devices. There are also third party apps that also fill that void. Considering I dont necessarily need these features. Alot of them arent dealbreakers. I was having battery issues with my iphone 12 after about 6 months and about a yr after owning my 8 plus. I also was in the group that had their 6 plus throttled and recieved a nice $20 check from apple due to the class action lawsuits. Ive really had no battery issues or thermal heat up from my z Fold 4 and the freedom to sideload, run linux and emulators has reinforced my decision to leave. Will I stay with Samsung, I dont know, but also having the choice to buy other phones is also a benefit. But for now im happy

I feel that for a majority of iPhone users the Pixel lineup, or Motorola in the countries the Pixel isn't available, is really the way to go due to the software simplicity and fluidity. I've tried using IOS and I never got used to a closed and unintuitive system not to mention that the S22 Ultra already gives me a set of cameras for photo and video that are more versatile and depending on the situation better than the Iphone. Ive used samsung for 6 years now, started with note 9 to the note 20 ultra( both of them running exynos). As someone who started off with the note, i really cant live without the s pen anymore. Im a student and take japanese class, so i found it really nice that i can practice writing with the s pen, saves me the trouble and money of using paper. Also, the way it allows me to snip out part of a screen for screenshots is amazing, not to mention the bluetooth picture taking function when taking group photos...(so yes the s pen is actually very usefull sir 😡)
But each time, what let me down about the phones(note 9/20 ultra) weren't the features of the phone to be extremely clear. Its their reliability. My note 9 had horrible battery in its first year, then the screen started to turn green, until you could barely see anything out of it. And sometimes it got so hot that sometimes i was scared it would explode while charging. I thought it was just a user issue because i did break the camera which i thought water might have gone into...so i took a chance and went for the 20 ultra, this time making sure i used it as carefully as i could... same thing happens bad battery after over a year of use, phone gets hot, runs really slow sometimes when pulling down notification bar... 2 green lines appear on the screen... and the most amazing of all... the whole back cover fell CLEANLY off...
I think it was because of the heat the exynos chips generated causing the adhesive to literally melt 😅
I really considered the iphone 14. but after hearing about samsung using only snapdragon chips this year... I now have the s23 ultra ;). I hope i dont regret this or else im jump shipping to iphone.

I started off as an Android user with the Galaxy S4. Battery life was horrendous back then and the whole UI and app experience was very clunky, so I switched to iPhone since then until now. I was considering the 14 pro max but I was largely unimpressed with it.
Dynamic island is way worse than the notch imo. It takes up a huge floating chunk of screen at the top, and that really bothered me, so I decided to switch back to Android with the S23 ultra.
So far it's been great, battery life is decent and the whole experience has improved so much since 2014. I love the 120hz screen and the 10x optical zoom camera, it opens up so many more options for photos of nature & wildlife that I've been missing out on my iPhone. The screen is overall so much better for viewing content due to the small camera hole that is super easy to ignore.

I have both the iPhone 12 PM and the S23 Ultra, and to be honest I'm in love with the S23. I don't use One UI, which is my favorite element of Android is being able to customize the phone until it works *for me* rather than adapting to Apple's way of doing things. Like you said though I do notice a big difference in the quality of apps, for example Facebook is hot dog water on Android.
Unfortunately I can't escape Apple's walled garden though. I develop with a mac, have an Apple Watch, and heavily use my Apple Card (which can only be paid in Apple Pay). Development alone makes it impossible to switch because Windows just doesn't offer the same level of productivity. (Powershell instead of zsh and all the UNIX tooling? 🤢) Linux comes close, but then you lose iOS development. Open to replies though for anyone's perspective on this problem.

Its funny because ive been looking a lot at the things you mentioned at 11:58 and indeed you can do that with samsung too. Even more so if you get Samsung's book laptops, but most of those features are available on windows if you set up your phone and pc correctly. iMessage is only relevant if you live in America and even then the default Messages app supports RCS so if you text people with an Android phone it'll work in a similar manner. The only thing that doesnt work as well is the universal clipboard as theres an extra step with the galaxy and windows PC, but the functionality is still there. I think its just not many people really cover this.
EDIT: Also apple is getting rid of the physical mute switch in the 15 models replacing it for an action button, so youre giving that up regardless.

I was an Apple fan boy myself from 2012 (with the 4S) up until 2019 (using the X). No major problems with iPhone other than the dreaded ghost touch on the X.
The X's major design change is what sparked my interest in changing sides to Samsung, because up until that point, every new iPhone was functionally and aesthetically the same as the previous gen.
The biggest factor holding me back from switching was Apple's tightly-knit ecosystem - they really do build a cage around you with their devices. But I bit the bullet and jumped ship by getting the Galaxy Note 10+.
Freedom at last. I was blown away with just about everything Samsung offered with the Note - it was just as reliable as the iPhone, despite being told it wasn't by iPhone users. It was smooth and premium feeling, despite my own expectations. Furthermore, it offered so many more features and customization options than I thought I'd ever want in a phone. I used it up until last year (when I upgraded to the Z Fold 3) and I was STILL learning new features the Note offered.
Still using the Z Fold 3, I can't fathom going back to Apple. Yes, iPhones are quality built and very reliable, but that reliability comes with a hefty restriction and switching back would feel like turning myself into the world's nicest prison - comfortable and quality, but restrictive nonetheless.

Always down for a DIL video and I always love seeing what Samsung can do. I’ve never owned an Android phone at all… but I can respect what the manufacturers are doing. My opinion of the Pixel seems to swing hugely year by year (6 crap, 7 awesome), but Samsung seems to have a pretty consistent product at this point. I’ve found myself lingering at the Samsung store at Yonge-Dundas here and there, really impressed with what I’m seeing. But, I don’t see the point in switching. These well established top players are realistically always going to be trading blows. I could disrupt my life and try something else, but unless it’s going to be a massive improvement, it’s not worth it. And, for my needs and the way I do things, switching would be a step sideways at best. I also think existing Samsung users would likely feel the same way.
I would legit try to get that 14 Pro replaced though… that battery life seems way too low.

You should try to use an android phone along with an iPhone for at least a couple of months, and then you can easily figure it out! The learning curve is something people find it difficult & they quickly jump to a conclusion & move back to Apple! The real fun would be only after you get used to knowing the essential features you want to configure/use!

Point is, androids issue is the lack in ease of use. That’s why more and more people will always go iPhone. Plus as much I hate this word, the ecosystem.

It is important to remember, especially for Android users like myself, that so many people are happily 'trapped' and really enjoy the ecosystem Apple offers. Apple does need to innovate with the IPhone 15 though or staleness, or at least accusations of it, will set in.

The only thing I think Apple truly does better is make devices that are perfect for content creators and establish ease with other Apple users (FaceTime imessage, and airdrop). Samsung just has so much customization, and their ecosystem might not be as strong, but it is very good. I do wish my s22 had somethings from the iPhone, but to say iphone is superior is an understatement. Both are better in different areas, and it all depends on the user. If everyone you know has an iPhone, it's very easy to switch, so you can have those same features. All depends on your needs.

This comment section is hilarious. Clearly, this channel has to be a little bit Apple-biased since their entire workflow relies on Apple products and the integration that comes with. But I mean... he was clearly trolling. I love how socials describe Apple users like fanboys that would go to war to defend their beloved iPhones from critics, but boy how ridiculous is the fact that a debate could be risen with just a joke about phones. And ironically it's the opposite, it's Android users making all the fuss in this comment section.
At the end of the day, the debate makes no sense because: 1, iOS and any Android os are not comparable in any way, they have completely different approaches and completely different needs, resulting in different experiences, which leads me to point... 2, every single person on this planet has unique needs, unique preferences, unique taste and so on. No one will ever be fulfilled by the user experience of any OS, because otherwise there would be no room for improvement. Therefore, just buy the phone you gaddam fancy and don't go bother other people about it.
Now, on the topic of features, it's easy to understand why Apple has fewer features and usually comes late to the party: Android has extremely fierce competition from within itself, with tons of brands and tons of products that have to be unique in some way or another. Apple does not have any competition when it comes to the OS, because it works only on Apple products. That basically means they can push a feature Android has had for ages like they are inventing it, or sell it as a premium factor (i.e. 120hz) and so on. Don't go around stating the obvious, guys. That's the Apple way because it is indeed a working business model. You don't like it? Don't buy an iPhone.

100% agree my s22 ultra is getting dusty now. Tried it for 3 months. Yes very nice useful features. But I had issues with car navigation issues with network coverage issues with sudden battery drain. Missed FaceTime apple notes screen recording editing options are just amazing, apple pay and my Apple Watch which has long range Bluetooth reach unmatched by galaxy 5 watch pro. The list just goes on. I know the iphone is boring but I can trust it. Not to mention security notifications of apps trying to leak your data and anonymously signing up for apps to secure your privacy.

Really surprised by this review. I watch your video 2 times and S23 Ultra seems like a 😵‍💫phone for you even if you give some compliments. Using daily both iOS and Android everyday, i feel limited on iPhone. It works but it's limited. I'm outside of this ecosystem so i just use iPhone with no smartwatch or table. Facetime, AirDrop, iMessage, etc, all those thing are just ecosystem : it's good to speak about them but we are talking about a Phone, not an Ecosystem because if it's only Ecosystem: i don't the see the point of this video: you're a content Creator and a Developper who value Time and being able to work everywhere with a good battery life : we all know M1/M2 laptop have best battery efficiency so iPhone + MacBook is the best combo and it will the best for you until AMD or Intel get it, which means you will stay on iPhone for a long time. Performance is better on a MacBook too.
iOS works fine, simple task, perfect answer but like you said it, Android is more complete:
    1) Same Back Gesture on every app ✅
    2) Unlocking my phone without an extra swipe ✅
    3) Moving icons on my homescreen wherever i want, top, bottom, left, right with empty space or not✅
    4) Pro Camera Mode without buying an app ✅
    5) Native Keyboard with numbers row key on top✅
    6) Multitasking with Split Screen ✅
and for someone who is not a Content Creator, like a Writer, a Journalist, or someone working with Windows software, or doing some light Editing, whatever the brand of you Windows latop, you can use Link To Windows app to connect your S23 Ultra and you laptop to answer Call, or SMS, etc. I also forget to write about Cloned Apps, perfect feature when you use the same phone for Personal and Professionnal use.
If you review a Phone, those 2 phones, are absolulety great, iOS and Android are fine but Android is more complete. Samsung Ecosystem and Samsung Galaxy Book are totally fine too but of course, if i was a Content Creator, always on move, i would buy a MacBook M1/M2 to be productive and earn the most money i can, because i will be a Pro, and this use case, need the better laptop. You tried but you don't seem really motivated by this phone.
Aesthetic of your video is 👍

I think some of you missed the point of the video (besides me trolling I should have just but a disclaimer at the end lol)
Im 100% biased trying to keep it real. I come from an apple ecosystem completely. But that doesnt mean im not willing to give samsung a try. This isnt a video review, its literally a video about "what an Apple Fan Boy thinks like" (plus the being goofy) I wanted to make this like episode one of a series of videos I want to make as I try to make the switch. Will I switch forever? Meh probably not. But I want to give it a 6 month trial and document my experience as well as the progress I've made trying Android (as an apple fan boy)

Plus, i made a try to iPhone for the first time and i have some good things to write about this device but transition was not as easy as everybody say it: switching from an Android smartphone to an iPhone is tough. Great video and I get thr trolling humor (all fun 😀). I have both the s23ultra and iphone 14pm. I am blessed to have used both apple and samsung simultaneously since like the galaxy s2 and iphone 6. I will say that both are great devices. For me I still prefer samsung and one ui. The ability to use the phone the way I want to is priceless. From tasks such as multitasking, split screen, s pen. Universal back gestures from left or right , swipe down to get to my tools without having to reach the top of the screen. Ability to adjust and customize more widgets and resize them, faster charging etc..... I have the tabs8 ultra, buds pro 2, watch 5 pro and they all work fluid together and synced to my desktop pc. I do have a MacBook, iphone 14 pm and stainless steel 45mm series 7. I sold my iPad pro once I started using the tab s8 ultra. Also iphones cpu is faster but samsungs gpu is the more powerful than apples and running games is better on the samsung because it has better cooling as well. A16 is not 40 percent better than snapdragon 8 gen 2 it's more like 15% percent and I guess that depends on what benchmark you are running. I like both companies and I need two phones so why not have the best of both worlds from someone who uses them both daily and not just for a review time Frame which doesn't really give a real user experience. It's not a matter of better its a matter of preference. Also you have to learn samsungs camera as pro mode is insane and if shooting in 200mp raw the s23ultra detail especially when viewed on pc is insane same with its macro lens.
Security is great on both I havent had any issues with either and you can control the security on samsung. I use Google cloud so all my stuff transfers on each system just fine. Samsung is pushing developers to optimize apps for Android which is a big plus but most apps run the same on each. I can tell you an app that's superior on samsung and that's zedge. Zedge on ios is trash. I'm not gonna even get into the fact that it takes like 3 more steps to do things on ios than it does samsung. With that said im a tech user so my use case is different but I do like the iphone as well with imessage but honestly unless every person I talk to is on iphone than I can use all the features anyway. Like FaceTime is good but I prefer Google Duo as it's universal and has a lot of nice features.
